People that actually think that you have to be insanely talented need to wake up. Personality and confidence is the most important thing. They want people that they can build and mold into what they want them to be. It´s about adapting and building your talents not about being the next mariah carey etc.

I auditioned for Cube Entertainment a couple of months ago and despite the fact that I actually had the ability to stand in front of six people, its still hard. People really need to realise that auditioning is really hard and stressful.

@@starsland6161 It depends on whether they're holding auditions in your country or not, unless they have a company building there, for me; Cube Entertainment held auditions for one day in my country, New Zealand, so I used that chance to audition and get a small taste of things.
So, I recommend keeping an eye out on social media etc so you know if a certain company you're wanting to audition for are holding them in your country.
( I used Twitter, Instagram and UA-cam )

@@evelynohhh normally the company would have audition details on their site, so I'd look up (c/n) online auditions, and then you'd need to select whether you're a citizen of Korea or a foreigner.
then, you have to fill in the personal info, name, age etc. after that the form will have sections stating which area are you applying to whether it be dancing, singing, acting, modelling etc.
you can select one of them, or leave it blank.
then of course you have to upload pictures of yourself, about two or three, and one or two videos of you singing and dancing.
there's also larger boxes for you to fill in, one is normally for your experience, so this is basically where you can show-off what you've done.
*e.g : performed for a school dance, received an award for the performing arts.*
then you've got your self introduction, this is where is gets a bit hard *for me at least*
in your self intro you simply talk about yourself and give a little more info on who you are. though, some of them have character limits so keep that in mind.
and after all that is complete you submit your form and done! you just have to wait for the call to see if you made it or not.

Story time- A couple of years ago when I was 16 I told my parents about my dream of becoming an idol. Tbh it didnt go well. My dad who have never shouted at me nearly threw his hands at me. He told me that I was out of my mind. My mom cried. They said that they are spending money on my education not to waste them too.And for one and a half year I was lost, I went through depression, I would have fights with my parents really often, I would cry myself to sleep and tbh my parents behaviour changed toward me from that day too but like more than a half year ago I realized that I am ruining my mental health and it took me time to heal myself. But my dream is not changing I am going to audition for belift gg. I dont want any regrets in life.

You know it's really hard when your parents don't support you for your dreams like my parents forced my to do BSc from Delhi University and I got accepted by DU but I didn't want to do that is wanted to do aerospace engineering then my parents say we will not be able to support you for your dreams you see yourself I took drop year and I just can't tell how much I changed in just 1 year but I'll always stand out my dreams doesn't matter how much it take times I will not let finance come b/w my dreams

Follow your dreams and work hard to get it, never, ever give into your parents because if you do you are going to spend years agonizing over what you could've been (not to mention how forcing yourself to do something that you have absolutely no interest in is going to be a huge source of pain for years.)
Ngl following an "unconventional" career path is going to be a lot of hard work, not to mention how much the emotional toll from lack of parental support is going to take on you. But you can do it. I believe in you.

I want to audition and I live in India and I have no idea how to. Can anybody answer these questions please:
1. Do we have to go Korea for audition?
2. Do we have to sing with music?
3. How to apply to audition?
4. Do we must know how to speak Korean?
5. Can we audition online? If we can, what is the process?
6. What should we be prepared with?
7. How old should we be to audition?
8. What are the rules?
9. Do we have to be Korean to audition?
10. Can you please explain like the applying process? (Like documents and stuff)
Sid J Although I’m not soobeanie I hope these answers help and sorry I’m late! I want to audition as well!
1. No, there are online auditions for major companies(Big 3, etc) and global auditions although I don’t think there are any in India.
2. I’m pretty sure you don’t have to. I think it’s optional.
3. The best to apply to are probably the big three companies because they are best with handling foreigners. (JYP, YG and SM) Here are the links to the audition info: YG- www.yg-audition.com/next-generation/ JYP- audition.jype.com SM- m.smtown.com/audition
4. You don’t have to know how to speak Korean, because if you get accepted they’ll teach you. It’s an advantage to speak Korean though, since Kpop is targeted towards Koreans. But no, you don’t need to know how to speak Korean.
5. Like I said for number 3, you go to their website and click “audition.”
6. It depends on what category you’re auditioning for. If it’s singing, a song or two. Dancing, a dance. Rap, a song to rap to.
7. Anywhere from 12-20ish. It’s better to audition early because companies accept younger people more than older but I think teens is the best age. There is no age limit but obviously you don’t want 60 year olds dancing on stage.
8. There aren’t really “rules” per se, but you should research a little bit to see what it’s like.
9. No, but it’ll be easier to get in if you are korean. Kpop is generally targeted towards Koreans. Usually those who are not Korean and accepted are Asian though. (For example, Sana or Momo from Twice.)

I dunno if you'll read this or not but you have to be confident about your dreams, loving them isn't enough. Being an idol is tough and isn't an easy thing, so you need to show your parents that you're stronger enough to achieve this dream. Show them how much you love music and how you know what you're doing. I wish you a good luck
same I told mom about being a Kpop idol and she straight up ignore me so I started poking her and she got annoyed but than she said I can do it if I want but I don’t feel confident cause my Face is asymmetrical so my lower lip is just not even as my upper lip and my one of my eye is higher than the other but I don’t know
Make a PowerPoint presentation the things you have researched every thing just put it in it in a organized manner put pictures of the company etc. And show your parents that you will be able to cope up. Don't forget to write every thing truth and tell them honestly. I just made an attempt to convince my mom through the presentation and lots of research(today). And she agreed but she is still left with 1% doubt cause i am Indian and i am 14

i really (still lol) want to do a auditio for jyp or sm but I can't really just move to korea and my parents also want me to finish school, even though my non-kpoppers friends show me a lot of support since I was the main singer on the school band and because I am known for dancing literary everywere(wich is a small school that's everyone knows each other)

I am an Asian but I cannot read and write Korean and I can't understand Korean or speak Korean fluently . and I have a doubt that I may fail in my plans . so as you said everything comes in Korean ( audition forms and the judges ) I am starting to doubt my plans . P.S - there are no auditions for k-pop in my home town .

for that it really depends on the company , like if you arent asian i don’t recommend going to sm or yg . a lot of people say they can be racist . but i do recommend jyp , he focuses more and personality and confidence more than beauty and skin tone .
