I wasn't prepared to be so impressed, as I hadn't heard this piece before, but I really loved this recording! The string section was gorgeous and the organ registrations were excellent. Great teamwork.

+Leendert Cordemans The Composer is Francis Poulenc (1899-1963) and it's the concerto for organ, tiampani and strings. It's the organ in the dom/cathedral of Riga.
I often feel the Poulenc concerto is what Sans Sans was trying to do with his organ symphony and failed ending up with something at times having the atmosphere of a circus mixed with a silent movie accompaniment.
