Cracking on the fly review mate. Love your enthusiasm. I'm not sure that lean angle indicator is a good idea mind you, I'd spend all my time trying to beat my best! And you know what will eventually happen. Bummer about the battery mate. looking forward to the XR. Cool beans bud.
+Rob Ash Thanks Rob. Yes, found my self looking at lean angle after every turn. Got it to 40 degrees. I'm sure with a little more time, I'd get it further. Dangerous.
Despite the GoPro dying on you, it was a great video. It is interesting to here everyone's perspective on a liter bike. Some will have more insight than others and others will point out something taking for granted by some. I'm looking forward to the XR review as I find myself leaning towards an ADV styled bike.
This was hella fun to watch. The 'lean angle' would be distracting, like you mentioned, I'm thinking? That is very cool. Would be an awesome bike to have. I really like those BMW sport & touring bikes, but my hb steered me away from them (grrrrr!) because I think he was worried about the maintenance cost.
This video is going to help a TON of people know the difference between the R and RR. You're also going to be disappointed with my R1 now compared to that.
I know me so having a super sport is definitely out of the question. Ha! The bmw WAS the deciding factor on seeing Mission Impossible though. Good stuff!
I've always loved the look of that bike. I think I can justify buying a used one when I get enough money because of the low to mid torque. BMW's a hell of a company.
That thing is beautiful! If I was ready for a leap from my 250 to a 1000, this would really be at the top of my list for new bikes. But, I want to take it nice and slow with a 600!
+NicheRiding 600 is more than enough power. None of us can maximize the potential of a liter bike. The reason I have one is for longer distance rides on the free way where I can cruise at lower RPM so I don't rev my nuts off.
I love BMW's, they make such quality products in everything they do. Were you able to push it pretty hard in Santiago, I know those turns aren't very tight unless you're a bit over the speed limit. hahaha
+Panyck The part where I was pushing it the most is where the camera died. They still had the rev limiter on because of the break in and Santiago is FILLED with police. I still got to push it some.
very nice review, I lost between 2016 s1000r and a pre-owned 2015 s1000rr, since they fixed the mid range on rr, i think I might go for it. how is the wind on rr? thanks
i have a 2003 R1 and when i sat on my new 2012 bmw s1000rr i felt like i was sitting on top of the tank lol, I think it's because my rear sets are up higher for more aggressive positioning
It's a fantastic bike! the only thing is it doesn't like to cruise, feels better accelerating or slowing down, that means riding the speed limit and being behind traffic is no fun lol. this bike gets you into trouble and the quickshifter makes you want to accelerate all the time lol
lol for a litre sports bike, I don't think there is a better street sports bike....but if I was told I could only have 1 bike.....I'd probably buy the XR cause it'll do anything I want it to do....AND MORE lol :) can't wait to see that video :)
+CNCycle I'm interested in seeing your XR review as well. I'm thinking about selling my 2010 S1000RR and buying the new Ducati Multistrada. It'd be cool if you could ride the Multi as well to compare and contrast with the XR. I've ridden the new MS, and it's a great bike. I have yet to ride the XR, however.
+Manco Kwan Honestly, you'd have a hard time with this at 5'7. I'm sure there is an after market seat that could lower you a bit. Go to a dealer and sit on it to find out.
Chock full of useful info! In your humble manor of self-deprecation, you don't always give yourself enough credit. Good job!
Thank you Tim.
Absolute dreambike. Now back to looking at used 600's lol.
Your gloves look awesome mate!.... So does the S1000RR! Nice vid :) (only just caught up with it)

+SRVmotoman Thanks man. Unfortunately, me hustling the pace through the tighter twisties is what I lost. The XR will be out in a couple weeks!

Great review man! You gave a good feel for the sound of the rev matching shifts.
Sounded even better when I was going fast.
CNCycle Yeah i bet! in person it sounds awesome!
This video is going to help a TON of people know the difference between the R and RR. You're also going to be disappointed with my R1 now compared to that.
+FryRiding Yes, the engine characteristics are actually a lot different. I'm sure I'll have a blast on the R1!! What is is it?
I think you're asking what year and its an 05
Yes, that's what I was asking. Can't type!
I know me so having a super sport is definitely out of the question. Ha! The bmw WAS the deciding factor on seeing Mission Impossible though. Good stuff!
Yes, they looked bad ass in the movie.
I've always loved the look of that bike. I think I can justify buying a used one when I get enough money because of the low to mid torque. BMW's a hell of a company.
Indeed. Make sure you get the 2015 or newer.
+CNCycle Why a 15 and never man? O.o
Very enjoyable and comprehensive review! Thank you sir!!
I don't know about comprehensive but thanks Captain. Haven't heard from you in a while.
CNCycle Indeed! I've been watching, but just very busy. Not much time to do editing either. Back into this week though!
Keep them coming! :-)
Love the review n the acceleration is awesome with power ^.^ looking forward to the next review
+Keith Wong Thanks! It'll be out in a couple weeks/

CNCycle yah my work is only 14 miles away through mostly side roads and traffic lights. I rarely ever go on the interstate.
600 is a great choice.
CNCycle yah buddy, im looking at getting one in the next month or so. Definitely ready to move up a size in bike.
We've all been there with starting. lol I thought my bike was dead once, but it was the kill switch. DOH!!!!
+RevvedUpBiker Glad i'm not alone!

one day i'll have that bike :]
Me too.
+A Girl and Her Bike You want the hp4 ;)
Mr. Phantasm OF COURSE I do :]
very nice review, I lost between 2016 s1000r and a pre-owned 2015 s1000rr, since they fixed the mid range on rr, i think I might go for it. how is the wind on rr? thanks
+NoShadowOfDoubt1 it's not bad at all. That's one of the things I mentioned. On the single R you feel the wind so you're more aware of your speed.
i have a 2003 R1 and when i sat on my new 2012 bmw s1000rr i felt like i was sitting on top of the tank lol, I think it's because my rear sets are up higher for more aggressive positioning
+Armoni Visuals how do you like it?
It's a fantastic bike! the only thing is it doesn't like to cruise, feels better accelerating or slowing down, that means riding the speed limit and being behind traffic is no fun lol. this bike gets you into trouble and the quickshifter makes you want to accelerate all the time lol
Good review. I want that cruise control haha
Cruise control is soooo nice to have.
Can't let Kerryann see this!!! LOL!
Oh yes you should.
Good review ...nice bike
Thank you sir!

I want the cruise control!
+Farzine Ubroski I have it on the S1000R. It's fantastic.
thinking about pulling the trigger on the RR?
Not today
2:18...Uh it's only a 0.1" difference.
+Just Floor It I think part of is that I have the Sargent comfort seat on mine. Forgot to mention that.
lol for a litre sports bike, I don't think there is a better street sports bike....but if I was told I could only have 1 bike.....I'd probably buy the XR cause it'll do anything I want it to do....AND MORE lol :) can't wait to see that video :)
Warning: I had a few gripes on it. All fixable.

+CNCycle Will you also try the R nineT?
What Dianese gloves do you have are hey kangaroo leather?
+Michael Galeancu Dianese X-Strike. I think it's fawn leather b

+damajama1 The boots are Rev'It Rodeo and the pants are Ugly Bros. Motopool.
i am thing of buying this bike, but i am 5'7, dont know if this bike will suit me
+Manco Kwan Honestly, you'd have a hard time with this at 5'7. I'm sure there is an after market seat that could lower you a bit. Go to a dealer and sit on it to find out.
What bike do you have?
S1000R
I'm taking a shit as I watch this vid, that means its very entertaining
I am honored to be your poop viewing pleasure.
Lmao. Good, waldo only watches the best as he releases his waste
IM FIRST

You're a whole mushroom tip taller than Suburban Delinquent.
Two mushroom tips.
How can a self assuming man say '' Ooh premium coconut water'' In that voice without laughing?
I cut the camera right after because I was laughing. Good catch.
+CNCycle I was laughing so hard haha good videos u have a new sub
Thank you!
