    Excellent video, thank you for taking the time to document this install! The thing that put me off buying was having to drill and tap but after watching this, my mind is made up!

    Excellent video! I'm looking to install the Turbosmart BOV from Fizzle on my 09 FZR. I'm still indecisive on tapping into the map sensor tubing or using an adapter in the intake manifold....

    Thanks for the tutorial. Decided on the fizzle with the turbosmart. I'm going with the map sensor tap. Do you have a link on where to buy the 4-way or does fizzle send one in the kit?

    • @Driven82

      OR maybe a 3 way would do it since you plugged up one of the holes www.summitracing.com/parts/rnb-47356?rrec=true

      Hey Nate, fizzle does not provide a “T” in the kit. I found a brass 1/4 barb T on amazon. It’ll be here Monday and I’ll install Wednesday night hopefully...

      I did my same way but now it stalls on low idle. All tubing seems to be tight. Any idea. ? I put stock back and now does same. Is it possible map sensor challenge?

      @jimcloud74 Рік тому

      @@denysmst Don't tap the map. Use the Riva adapter that goes on the manifold temp sensor. Best $60 bucks you will spend.

    Great video. For the T splitter on vacuum line would you say leaving attached at both ends and just cutting it in the middle would be easier then attached splitter?

    Great video and thanks for posting. Is the blow off valve completely water proof when it comes to cleaning? Can you just hose it down with the rest of the engine?

      Tech Help Direct yes, very easy to clean.

    I just did the same thing just like in this video and on idle my blow off is open as you give it slow throttle it’s just pumping air right out of the blow off.. the only time it doesn’t just release the air out is when I do sharp throttle pulls. Any idea why? I checked the vacuum line and it’s under vacuum basically at all times except those quick throttle pulls.

    I recently purchased a bov from Pwc but I’m having trouble installing. Air box seems to be the problem. How were you able to install it?

    • @alphajetstudio1601
      @alphajetstudio1601 3 роки тому

      The Stock air box is seen in this video. It should not interfere with the install.

    How does this BOV compare with the HKS Super Sequential Blow-off Valve? I know they serve the same purpose, but which sounds better?

    • @CRAIGAR82
      @CRAIGAR82  5 років тому +1

      Zach Brose Hi Zach: the HKS brand is no a 50mm BOV and tends to “whistle”. A 50mm is what allows for rapid relief of the excessive pressure in off throttle situations. That’s what I recommend.

    Great Video! I have the same ski. Why do you like this particular BOV over the Riva model? Can this be put on a stock motor with no engine mods? I have a Stage one plus tune, rear exhaust, solas impeller, and air intake installed. Am I good? I am confused, I looked up the Tial Model and it is red. Is this a different model? Sorry for so many questions, want to get it right! Again, great video brother!

    • @CRAIGAR82
      @CRAIGAR82  6 років тому +1

      C Flo this BOV allows for quicker pressure release than the riva. The riva BOV “whistles” from restricting the air flow. The whole point of the BOV is to protect the clutch so the quicker the better. A BOV should be the very first mod to any supercharged ski. Currently, this is the only mod on my FX.

      Thanks for the quick reply! I called Riva (live 5 miles from) and they said they tap the manifold as opposed to tapping the map sensor like you did. I asked them if it anyway affected the performance and they said it didn't. Can you think of any pros or cons to each way. Just want to get as much info as I can before I do this on my own. I am hoping you make some more videos, not too many with the 2018 SVHO model. Keep em coming brother!!

    • @CRAIGAR82
      @CRAIGAR82  6 років тому +5

      C Flo drilling and tapping the manifold is irreversible. Tapping into the map sensor can be converted back to Stock!

    I’ve been reading up on the fizzle with the tial 50mm and some people say there is not enough room if you still have the stock air box. How were you able to make it fit??

      Theres about 3cm of space left in between stock air box and turbosmart bov. I just installed mine last weekend. It wont be a problem.
