  • Our Super-Duty ‘GEN-3’ Supercharger Shaft Kit provides the ultimate in reliability for high boost applications. Kit features a revolutionary hydraulic shaft stabilization bearing that limits shaft deflection and wear. Bearing stabilizes end of supercharger shaft via high pressure oil film dramatically increasing the stability of the system. Hydraulic end bearing and one-piece shaft bearing are fed by a through-shaft oiling system providing superior lubrication. Oil is delivered by braided stainless line and injected into a billet end cap that houses hydraulic bearing. Shaft is precision machined from a single piece of high-strength billet steel producing shaft, collar & gear as one piece. This eliminates the common failure point on stock shafts where OEM gear is pressed onto shaft. Shaft also features larger diameter threads & nut for added strength. Kit includes new one piece bearing with increased surface area providing improved torsional stability of shaft. Bearing features superior materials & finish treatment for reduced friction & abrasion resistance. This Shaft & Bearing Kit is a direct replacement for OEM parts and requires no additional modifications for use.

What is the RPM threshold for when this part is required/necessary? I've heard 8500, but I would think that also depends of how many times the rider bounces up to that RPM (IE wave jumping, etc.). Thanks!

Any time the factory rev limit is increased, this shaft is a good addition to maintain reliability. Sustained RPM over 8000 with higher peaks can cause the stock shaft to fail. This upgraded shaft is a necessity when using an aftermarket supercharger impeller due to the increased stress on the system.

installed a few of these its worth it if your running 8000 rpms it even sound smoother at a idle

+Edgardo Emralino It would be nice if we could offer this part for less but it’s very expensive to manufacture. The shafts are built to our specification in Japan by HKS which is the original manufacturer of the Yamaha OEM supercharger. HKS holds the shafts to very high tolerances due to the high RPM and performance requirement. Also the addition of the external oil feed system adds complexity to the manufacturing process. This shaft is used by the world’s top PWC racing teams and has a great record of reliable performance.

That's really not a bad price at all if you know the manufacturing processes to generate what you're getting. That one piece supercharger shaft is NOT cheap at all to produce, especially being a billet piece.

@@Anterisix how much they get paid per hr in Japan do u have a idea?????? they are NOT made in Usa... cmon 500 for something that max could cost in japan is 25-50$.... Boating parts are so f ridiculous.
