Gigue from Bach’s Cello Suite No. 4, on the Moog Sub37

This Gigue is relentless! You'll see me using the Oscillator II on/off switch to create the echo dynamics that are indicated in the Barenreiter edition.
An interesting thing is that Bach organised this Gigue in a way that very nearly can be called sonata form; it only lacks a formal second theme. It's cool to see a transitional style of piece from the more free-form Baroque style of binary form (which the earlier Cello suites certainly employ) and the more Classical sense of thematic organisation that was developing around that time period.

Could you explain what oscillator switching is if you have a moment. Sounds interesting but I’m dumb

Happy to - this instrument uses digital circuits to create sound waves, and these circuits are called oscillators. On this instrument you can switch them on and off individually. I turned one of them on and off to increase and decrease the volume when called for in the piece, which is what you see me doing with my left hand in quite a lot of this video.

Thank you! No, this is a pretty simple patch with 8' and 4' oscillators set between the triangle and sawtooth waveforms. The main dynamic effect is switching the 4' oscillator on and off.
