The GameGear final boss actually moves around and feels like a real Sonic boss fight. Also, is nobody noticing the fact the GameGear version has AoStH Robotnik?
I think the GameGear version was made when aosth was on air so they made robotnik look like that to sort of tie in with the American depiction of sonic eg. the genesis version has the spines of American sonic in the minigame glass reflection of sonic playing pinball
Game Gear version is way over-hated. It's not a bad game, despite some problems with hit detection. It's basically a whole new game with the same name, like all 8-bit Sonic ports. The original soundtrack, while not as great as the Genesis version, is very awesome and underrated.
It reminds me of the Unleashes. Whilst the PS2/Wii were technically inferior to their counterparts, they had different gameplay mechanics and still had great stages.
@@DanielDX i agree when i play it on gems collecton this is easier and plus if you unlock the codes then it made 10 times easier it's playable but on genesis it made me mad i went as far as the machine and the bosses freak me out like where did come from?

What bugs me is that the Mega Drive version doesn’t have the same physics as the platform games. It just doesn’t feel like Sonic. Almost as if they’d made a pinball games and added the Sonic sprites late on to get better sales 🤔
The reason tails doesn't save sonic in the game gear version is because he was never there to begin with. It was a hallucination he's been seeing ever since he failed to save tails in gg sonic 2
I Like the both of the versions. Sega Genesis/Megadrive & Sega Game Gear, i can't pick one but Sega Genesis/Megadrive is My Most Favorite lol (Sorry that I commented late)
I like the mega drive version but there are 2 things that bother me 1 the sonic sprites are tiny and uglier compared to sonic 2 or 3. 2 thing is the soundtrack is good but since it was put on the mega drive it seems is bad like it compared to sonic 2 3 and 1

no they are the same game really, same for mean bean machine unlike all the other 8-bit sonic ports which are completely different games
Wow. I had a Game Gear when I was a kid, but up until now, I had no idea there was a Game Gear version of Sonic Spinball.
It did go under the radar since it wasn't released (or even announced, so far as I know) at the same time as the big 1993 Genesis debut.

I only just realised that the 'boss hit' sound in the Game Gear version is the same one from Sonic 1 8-Bit.
Honestly spinball has to be my favorite spin-off I’m not sure why but I love it even though the genesis version feels unfair at times
