    We have a small family compared to yours only 5 people plus animals. It makes me so happy to see a large family buying the best that they can for their children. Good on you and your husband for budgeting and being able to do this for your children’s health!

      I agree. There are other large family vloggers that mainly feed their kids junk and processed food. The dougherty dozen are the worst that I've seen. This family buys healthy with a few treats on special occasions and it's admirable since they have a large family.

    I absolutely love how healthy you try to keep your family's diet. And I like that you show it's not perfect and say there's room for improvement. That shows you're always willing to learn and make changes when you find better alternatives.
    If you want a sweetener that does not raise the body's insulin, try allulose or stevia. Honey and fructose raise the body's insulin higher than you might want.

      @@arnicepernice8656yes! I actually had a mass on my pituitary gland in my brain and my neurologist told me to cut out all artificial sweeteners including stevia. He said stevia was one of the bad ones. They are endocrine disrupters or in other words mess with your brain and hormones. I stopped and my mass went away and I am healthy and my hormones are normal now! I also try to eat as clean as possible and organic if possible as well! Maybe this will help someone.

    I love what you do! I too buy as much as I can organic as well as eliminating all processed sugar and making sure my meats are grass fed.
    I am not a honey fan (but I'm glad you like it). I like to use coconut sugar for everything in replace of processed sugar. It tastes, bakes, and cooks just like processed sugar 1 for 1. Though once in a while I have to take the coconut sugar and use it to make powdered sugar to work with a particular recipe. I also have some recipes that use dates as the sweetener, and that's super delicious, too.
    I am new to your channel, so I'm not familiar with the videos you have made. I'm hoping you have one on how you meal plan for the month.

      @RealMomRealSolutions  10 місяців тому +3

      Honey is for sure more expensive than sugar however, I’m sure a bucket of honey would last too much longer than it does me it is pretty much one for one on the substitution so I guess just think about how many pounds of sugar you use and that’s probably about the amount of honey you would use.

      @RealMomRealSolutions it looked raw. Do you make butter and cream when it seperates? We have access to fresh raw from Amish farms around and just welcomed 2 Jersey calves onto our homestead for future dairy needs for our large family!

    Fun seeing your grocery haul:). Just a family of four here plus two dogs, which are treated like kids:). I make their dog food monthly and that adds up, but absolutely worth it! Is the beeping your fire alarm?

      I don’t know where you’re located the store that I buy it from is called Johns marketplace but it’s only here in Utah and they only have one location. However, I have gotten it from local bee farmers as well and you may be able to find someone like that in your area by searching for them

    Consider buying tomato sauce only in glass Jars. Because if tomato's acidity, the aluminum cans leech toxic aluminum into your food.

    No added sugar because fruit itself has sugar. It's just crazy how some kids snack is like 10g plus added sugars.
