    Tomato paste: Just dehydrate tomato slices, skin and all. Blend it up into a powder. Now you have shelf stable tomato paste or even sauce, depending on how much water you add.

    I was looking for information on Azure and your video was recommended and I wanted to thank you for the information and just say you seem to have such a kind, friendly and approachable demeanor. I don’t have a homestead and am not able to grow my own food but I really respect what you are doing.
    I also wanted to just comment with kindness and the best intentions that I think it’s sad how much these days people online seem to feel they have to apologize for everything-whether it’s not growing every single thing they eat, choosing convenience over all glass/100% scratch made/having sugar or junk food sometimes, or whatever. It seems in every comment section there’s always going to be a criticism or many, people insisting their way is best, finding fault or giving advice where it wasn’t requested-and though I imagine it likely comes from a place of wanting to help, it appears that so many now feel like they have to defend every tiny choice they make in their home. I think the things you are able to do are admirable and you obviously are trying to do the very best and in my eyes, succeeding in having a healthy and happy home for you and your partner. Maybe this is just more unwanted advice, and it’s not really advice-I just don’t think you need to apologize for a thing you do because you are excelling! I guess I’d just love if we could all choose kindness and empathy by default in our interactions-and I think it would be contagious. Anyway thank you for the content!
    And oh! The cumin seeds! You said you like rice a lot and if you enjoy Indian type flavors, jeera rice is amazing! Jeera translates to cumin seeds-and they make for just delicious and fragrant rice that we are crazy about in our house-if you were looking for ways to use what you got by accident. I keep cumin seeds on hand all the time and they are just great for marinades and sauces and such, and they add a pleasing crunch too, they aren’t like some other spices that can’t be eaten whole! Happy cooking! 😊

    It’s free to join Azure Standards and only buy when you need to buy. I started by spending $50 for a couple of months and saved so much since everything lasted me at least 3 months. Now I have almost eliminated the grocery store and spend $100 a month with Azure. I still buy meat locally. I buy Azure’s powdered tomato as I can’t grow my own here. Before I was spending $600 a month at the grocery store.

    My nearest drop is 3 hrs away, I'm in NW Oklahoma.
    As my daughter lives in same town, I order every 3-4 months. She uses Azure as well.
    For us, it's worth it!

    I love azure. I do 3 picks up year. I love that they do all work for you as in making sure it truly healthy vs taken a company word for it. If one ingredient in an item doesn’t meet there standard they will not sell it. There not one place here close by to even source clean products that I have found for myself. I get to meet tons people. It normally takes us 15 mins to unload a truck and into piles and we on our way.

    The plastic bags on the laundry powder (and some other items) is an added protection in case the product bag/jar breaks, that way it is contained somewhat instead of containing all the other products in the Tetris box. I hold on to the bags and reuse for other things, like storing shoes in a suitcase when traveling.

    For those interested in Azure Standard, there IS a shipping charge, based on dollar amount of your order AND distance. In MN & OH it's 8 1/2%, I don't know how much it is in other areas. For those who don't have a drop site close enough, you can have orders shipped to your home, just make sure you add shipping cost to product cost to see if it still makes sense for you.

    • @myrtlebee3143
      @myrtlebee3143 4 місяці тому +8

      In Arizona, there is no shipping charge for picking up at a drop. I believe it is the same for most, if not all, of the western states.

      I live in north Idaho. There is no shipping charge to pick up at a drop. UNLESS it's a very small order then they charge a small fee. I believe it's like $5.

    • @GreaterisGreat
      @GreaterisGreat 4 місяці тому +1

      @karenw9996 ... it's very expensive to have items shipped to your home if you're considered "off route". Their trucks only travel a certain route, so if ant deliveries from them are off of that route, it's sooooo expensive. We would've been charged well over $1,000 for shipping. And the drop pick up is also quite a distance.

    • @karenw9996
      @karenw9996 4 місяці тому

      @@GreaterisGreat I'm just going by what Heidi at Rain Country Homestead said. They don't have a route nearby but she orders from them for home delivery, including grains - said the unit price is still cheaper than other places. And I would think if people had small and/or lightweight things (essential oils, spices, etc.) the shipping would be less. Thankfully, I have a drop point less than ten miles away - and a drop site coordinator who unloads the truck and gives people a 2-3 hour window to pick up their stuff - it's wonderful!!!

    Yes, PLEASE do a video on making that GF bread with the buckwheat groats. I just ordered a 25lb bag from Azure just because I LOVE buckwheat in place of corn grits (corn allergy). Didn't know we can use it to make bread. I need a *YEAST FREE* bread though! Because of intestinal candida, I cannot have bread with yeast. Will use baking soda instead, when possible. *Please do a video on using the brown rice & oats gf bread too!* I need to make my own gf bread, but most ppl are using gums & or yeast in their gf bread.

      Yep, when one side is convinced that everything is rigged unless they win and can't take a loss fair and square with a peaceful transfer of power it sets a dangerous standard.

    Just subscribed to your channel ! Thank you for talking about your Azure company. Very good prices for what you bought. But there is shipping costs on top of that, correct? Thank you so much! Have a blessed day!

    Do you happen to know the difference between Azure and Thrive?? I do not have a drop area anywhere near me and the shipping for Azure may be prohibitive. Thanks for the video.

      Thrive has some good options, but not quite as much as Azure. I can get everything I need from Azure, but not Thrive

      Thrive you have to pay a subscription every month

      @@suzanneford1571 I pay a yearly fee for thrive just like Costco. You don’t have to pay a subscription fee for Azure?? I thought you did. I also get my Thrive order shipped for free after spending a certain amount.
