I have TSI Engine Rapid so can talk about that engine only. Few things to consider: 1) Warranty Status 2) Service Plans 3) Service record I have never faced any issue in 3 yrs of Ownership but can't comment about older cars. Spares are as expensive as Honda or Ford. One thing, I can say with confidence that no car beats Skoda/VW in control and ride quality in similar price range.
@@CarsTribe_OfficialGood to know. Some people talk about increasing mileage by putting additives or by putting premium fuel( is it putting worth ). Is there any other ways to increase mileage. Petrol only gives near 13 kmpl.
@@Wander98765 My used to give 10kmpl in city and 13.5 kmpl on highways. After 3rd service, It has improved by 1kmpl. Additives, I have never used, but I use 95 Octane Petrol.
No rattling sound at all till now. My car is still under service package so still paying almost zero in services. But yes, you can expect 12-15k/ service after 3rd or 4th year.
@@CarsTribe_Official Thanks for the reply, what is the mileage you get on highway and city now as am I planning to buy a second hand rapid 1.0 tsi manual?
9 to 11 kmpl in city (Ring Road type traffic) 14 -16 kmpl on Yamuna Expressway at 100-110 kmph 13 - 15 kmpl on other highways at 90-100 kmph 12-13 kmpl on Yamuna Expressway at 120-140 kmph. Above are measured values tank to tank. My car is Automatic.
@@CarsTribe_Official can you please tell me how much it will cost me for repairing it. I don't know the actual amount which I have to pay and also I don't want to get looted from repair shop
Yes, I faced break noise and had to replace the brake pads and disks. The reason was that I travel twice through an extremely congested stretch of 2.5 km which takes anything b/w 20 to 35 mins on daily basis.
@@thurules it costed me 5300 INR including taxes and installation. Otherwise transmission is working fine. I have avoided any drag races etc or harsh engagements disengagement of transmission system. My avg driving speed is fast but I am nice with transmission, engine and brakes. You may visit a workshop nearby as automatic transmission is covered in the warranty
I replaced oem ceramic disks of skoda Fabia.. compatible with rapid...if there are stocks still available try ceramics..brings lot of confidence. Infact i changed suspension to arc ...now the car feels much more planted as it used to be earlier in tdi engines
Please share your views on used skoda/vw. How to have control on service and maintaince ( save money).

Hi, is there any rattling noise in your car? And without any service package how much can we expect a regular service bill for 15000 km/1 yr?

@fallen4711 : In City, it is b/w 10-11 kmpl. On highways, it is b/w 14 to 16kmpl (AT) at 95-115 kmph speed.

@@CarsTribe_Official Thnx. 👍
I bought a used Skoda Superb, so according to you should I take my car to Skoda official service centre or to the local workshop
Till it is in warranty, you should take it to official workshop. After that you may consider aggregator based workshops as well (Go Mechanic etc).

Did you face any brake noise? Also does the transmission perform the same way now as it used to be when new?

Can you elaborate on suspension change? Like replaced with earlier model rapid suspension and cost?@@vsk906
