Admittedly, I have only a general understanding of dcs mission editor lua scripting, but when I attempted to implement very simple lua scripts written by chat gpt, they largely failed despite looking convincing. I'd like to see a video where you implement and demo a lua script written by chat gpt...
This has been on my mind for a while but you forced me to try it out too!! It'll go through MIST and MOOSE too and help out with classes!! Thx for the kick in the ass!
Holy crap! I had no idea it could create scripts like this! It is hard to get professional programmers to add commenting like this alone, none the less the quickness of generating functions.
The power of ChatGPT and scripting help is immense - ok, you do need to have a basic understanding of what's created for as it's not always perfect, however, it's so useful. I've used it to create python scripts for GIS analytics, looked at sentiment analysis from meeting notes etc.
I was able to edit a script for a tunnel builder that I found a year ago. The issue was the tunnel couldn't be rotated only the buildings that it used to create the tunnel, spent about 30 min with ChatGPT and was able to get it to rotate the whole structure while only messing up just the coordinate system
Chat GPT is an incredible powerful tool, not just for scripting in DCS but for coding in general. It’s also a great tool to plan DCS Cinematics, it can even give you examples of communication between Aircraft/AWACS/JTAC. I‘m currently working on a 10 Mission long Campaign for my Squadron and Chat GPT has made the entire scripting for me. Until know each script worked as intended.
OK, so now we are getting somewhere. AI can be used for scripting, and it seems to work. Yes? Lets hope AI comes to the rescue for things like populating bases with multiple units of usable, as well as static objects as needed. Even better, AI should be included into DCS for everything associated with mission triggers. Anything would be better than FI-THEN-NEXT programmer centric approach that we currently have! I am looking forward to it.
Absolutely, it's kinda freaky how well it understands - and it's very accurate. Very occasionally it gets something wrong (usually if one ventures a little close to sensitive "no-go areas". Because it confidently gives an incorrect answer, it's sometimes worth double checking
@@DCSDigitalCombatSimulator I have used it for all kinds of test scenarios from python, HTML, PHP, writings letters, offers asking for test results and comparison and so on, truely a time saver, but like you said it some times needs some causes oversight and often a only a small hint to the AI to get a good start off!

Today it is bit more smart. You can ask directly to make a script or mission briefing, and it does beautifully.

Maybe not as easy as one might think. But a start in the right direction.
Yep, I've been using it to program. As long as you give clear instructions it gives decent code. GPT4 (the paid version) is far better at coding.

This changes everything! At the same time, I'm waiting for Skynet to destroy all humanity! WTF are we getting ourselves into?

Wow! I'm sure you've come across some minor hiccups it made, any general tips on what to avoid or how to talk to it? I'm trying to do the same thing
ive been using this to learn coding in python, glad to know that it can get this specific.

Oh yes! This is awesome
This is cool, would like to see you script a short single player mission using this, and then play said mission
Gamechanger! ❤
It's funny more aren't talking about this. AI is the biggest thing in DCS content creation since its been a thing.
For me it understands even if I don't keep asking if it understood 😊

That wasn't the point.
That's amazing. Thanks for sharing 😊
Interesting video! Keep it up!
Would like to see these scripts in action in DCS !? 😜 are you sure it works ?
Is there a link to this AI?
How much does this cost to use?
its free
@@limmbow VERY interesting
It's called Google.
that is pretty cool.
