Well I for one thank you for all you do making great videos that are both educational and fun. I'd love to see more on the Grippen after your episode where you were dogfighting against it. Loved that video!
Goddamn I never paid attention to how fluid and well animated the crew aboard the carrier was. Shouldve paid closer attention when I was on the catapult.
What an absolute display. I really liked your work and bring us more air combat stories with the your visual graphics from DCS. It’s really amazing and educational.
Very cool video!! Looking forward to seeing a more like this. Hopefully you can get another DSC player for another strike package mission like this. Love the content my dude keep it up!!!
I got the courage to play on your DCS server last night with my friend. My first time PvP. Funny how you forget all the simple things when you are stressed out .. lol
Very nice mission, with a bit of everything and even a "Neo moment" there at the end by your Wingman; nice. I was missing a bit some ATG acction, but it was good. Stay well man
Your production quality was top notch there. Love the lighting and the angles you go for. And good flying.. nice snapshot on the mig - you had bombs and a tank and 4000 lbs of bombs when you scored it haha.
ahah ya I couldn't believe when I ended up on his six like that, thanks for watching Jeff, always a pleasure to see you still around here. take care man.
This was really great, seriously. Small critique for the added sound effects of the explosions though: Add a time delay to allow the sound waves enough time to reach the camera :) Keep this up, quality content man 👍
Hey I’ve been watching your content for over a year and it’s the reason I bought a pc and started playin dcs, sorry for not subscribing at the start but your content is amazing. Thank you for producing so many quality videos!
Very entertaining as always : ) I think its about time I got off of training and tried some air to air combat for the first time in DCS. I got the Hornet, Persian Gulf and most recently the Supercarrier so there is no better time to start!
The George Washington (CVN-73) aircraft carrier didn't participate in Desert Storm/Persian Gulf War. It was commissioned in 1992 well after Desert Storm. Curious if anyone else caught that. :)
Dam.....i sure do miss those days working on the flight deck launching jets. VF-21, VF-24, VF-211, VF-41. Tomcats baby miss those days terribly :( Yes i know those are F-18's. Just reminds me of my tomcat days.
Man, I picked an excellent time to get into DCS. Supercarrier looks amazing. Just waiting for my HOTAS to arrive and then I'll learn how to properly fly the F-16 and F-18 mods. Hope to see you in the (digital) skies soon, GS!
Amazing content as always. I love how you make your video like a movie. It has tension and its just great. You made me captivated into this video. Honestly your work has always been outstanding and i love your chanel. Keep it up buddy. I'm kinda speachless rnow so i can't make sense xD.
I was not aware of the f-14 acls not working with the new patch and had a hour long mission that was fun but once I hit pilot reference button my tomcat just fell outta the sky right on my final approach. Glad to see someone with a mission made it back to the carrier in one piece.
GS, what is the background music you use for Tacview? Is it a modified version of Moonlight Sonata 1st Movement? I love it, somehow it fits well with the Tacview:D
A scenario for you. There are mountains between you and the enemy. A very important large and friendly FARP for a lot helicopters has been established 1/4 the way into the mountains. The enemy has identified it through intelligence and is planning a sneak attack through the mountains on the FARP. They are a top notch four ship loaded to the gills with ordinance and fuel tanks to completely obliterate the FARP and gun down any choppers that get airborne. For safety’s sake each plane is carrying 2 Fox 2’s. One may or may not be armed with fewer bombs and more missles. Your intelligence is ahead of the game and knows the day, in the morning, of the planned attack. The mission of you and the wingman is to find them and stop them, taking off before sunrise to ambush them if you can. Take whatever toys you want and an AWACS. I seldom see fighters trying to stop an air to ground before it happens and I’d like to.
Brilliant video entertaining as always really appreciate your explanations with tacview at the ends i feel ive learnt so much thru ur vids please keep it up 👍
I'm confused @9:30, when the the 29 fired at 9 miles, you rolled and pulled, but how did you dodge the missile with just that? Had you forced him to break radar lock? (was it radar) how did you know it wasn't IR or something?
But VFA-106 is a RAG squadron! They've never been to war! (At least in an f18.) Can some one make my man a vfa83 Rampager skin? Those guys do work. Great vid as always!
Nice mission, a few points: - unreliable Sparrow date back to Vietnam war. AIM-7M did ok during Desert Storm, especially since a few were low PK shot to make the Iraqi MiG turn away. - Iraq has MiG-29A, not MiG-29S 😉
A year later from your last bombing run, you drop a bomb once again, and blow up a school buss that was randomly passing your target. I know you couldn't see that from the sky, obviously. But I did notice it on the ground camera right before impact. Jokes aside, I've been watching your videos recently cause you make good videos. What I mean by that is that you explain the situation and what you do to accomplish your missions. The most interesting thing you do is the tac view after dogfights, cause I've spent a lot of time learning to fly the F-18, and doing fine so far, but when it comes down to using weapons, combined with tactics, I'm quite the bambi. I know there are tutorials out there for the F-18, but I'm curious to how you would make a tutorial video. I think you would be able to teach others quite well with the knowledge you've got, and the effort you put into details.

GS's real superpower: Firing an AIM-7 and actually hitting something with the first shot.
Hahah got lucky man, I’d honestly rather throw rocks at him than fire a sparrow the odds seem better with a rock sometimes lol.
SAME MAN I really salute his balls for firing a Sparrow when he has AMRAAMs
Man don't miss... Never miss! 😂😂

I know it's a ton of work but I really like that kind of stuff, and BF themes makes everything epic.
Glad you enjoyed man I’ll try and do more
Whatever you can give us is appreciated. Awesome work, thanks a lot

Really like the "movie footage" at the start, sets the mood.
theres no movie footage, thats the game itself

whats the song?

I appreciate seeing you talk through all of the button clicks in the cockpit to get a better idea of the real time work flow.
This was amazing 😍 I need more content like this, keep up the amazing work.
Exactly the kind of content I've been craving. Thank you!

thank you man, and thanks for watching.
More multirole missions like this, please! Dogfights are awesome, but it's epic to see the aircraft really flex all of its capabilities.

Superb mission GS. Your videos are the best. thanks for sharing.

Pretty sure back in 1991 there was no data link, SA page and JHMCS, but otherwise nicely edited and executed. It was fun to watch! 🙂
Excellent video, Growling Sidewinder. I had to look up 'SEAD'....never heard 'it' mentioned that way before, but, now I know👍
I'm not sure what I like more. The content, or the music you put in there.
This operation was excellent in my opinion, was wonderful
