Hilton and Marriott being exactly the same is too accurate
hilton isnt making newer hotels it seems so marriot seems nicer since they have some newer offerings. but yea same price and feel for the most part.
@phgamer4393 Depends really. Fairfield Inn and Suites are great, but we have horrible luck at Courtyards, and we loveee Homewood Inn and Suites. 😊

Last Spring my wife and I legit went to check in at the wrong hotel, because a Hilton and Marriott SHARED the same building and the check-ins were opposite of the same room
Meanwhile Motel 6 was busy getting rid of a corpse in the bathroom
I was gonna say outside digging in the trash can but I like yours better.

They did both
While cleaning and disposing of the corpse from the bathroom (how can ONE person make such a gods-awful mess on their way out?) They found treasure in the trash can and thought 'eh, why not. Might distract from the stains this dude left if we place em weirdly enough'
I woke up to a racket above me at 3am at a rodeway inn. I was like what the hell are they doing up there? Moving furniture around.
Turns out they were dying. The emergency vehicles and gurney coming down the stairs tipped me off.
The next night the hotel manager asked if I was missing a child and then he was like well a little boy just ran out the door and down the road...you go get him while I call the cops. I saw no kid but just walked the way he pointed...for a while...still no kid. Eventually way off in the distance I see a shape run through the streetlight and I'm like "eff, this IS real"...so I take off at a run, still smoking my cig, I finally catch up to him almost 2 miles from the hotel as he's about to cross a 6 lane hiway.
Turns out he's autistic and in his underwear...so now, here I am, walking down a dark access road, with a struggling, screaming, little boy in his Spiderman undies and I totally look like a child predator plus I have a gun on me because I was outside a shady hotel smoking a cig in the dark.
Great situation.
The most exciting car troubles I've ever had. Thank God it was fixed so I could leave the next day.

On my first solo trip ever, i stayed in a motel 6 and found a meth pipe IN THE OFFICE when I went to check in

Only times i've stayed at a Super 8 is in my early 20s when me and my friends wanted to do blow consequence free.

@@michaelbreckshot6589 Depends on Red Roof in as it is a franchise where people run each individual one and in most people allow pets in so people highly allergic to salvia on pet dander should avoid.

La Quinta is odd since I've seen well kept versions, and terribly reviewed versions. Must be a franchise thing.
I worked in housekeeping at one of these hotels. Gloves used to clean the bathroom were not taken off before cleaning the coffee mugs. The coffee mugs were cleaned with window cleaner and wiped out.
It wasn't Super 8.

I have yet to stay in a hotel room that is 100 percent clean. There is always something dirty, even at the Hiltons.
I take lysol wipes/spray, a vaccum, and dishwashing supplies with me everywhere.
Always clean your own toilet, shower, and dishes...u never know.

the "free beers from the previous visitor" cracked me up. I stayed in a local motel in a beach city and when my family got to the room, the fridge was broken and had a 4 beers and a bucket with 2 fish in it. The room stunk so badly, and the smell did not go away for the ~week we stayed there.
Ironically out of all the hotels in this video I think Super 8 is the only one I've never had a bad stay at.

What's crazy is for as little as $20 extra per night, you can vastly upgrade your motel.
I was in the USA the first time last year and almost booked a super 8, not knowing what to expect. Now I am happy I didn't :)
Dodged a bullet there! As a life long road-tripper, I never stay at Super 8, Motel 6, Red Roof Inn, or anything with the words “budget,” “value,” or “economy,” in the name. 😅

As someone who travels for work, I absolutely loved this.
Did security 👮🏼♂️ lived 24-07 2X Days Inn Orlando.gov . I saw some wild %&*÷! Naked women, woman went into labor 🚑. 2 suicide scenes. 3 or 4 domestics, DV calls 📞. 2x people trespass/break into rooms.
Roadway Inn makes super 8 look luxurious.
I was stalked by a methhead at a Rodeway Inn. Never again.
All of this is why we just stay home😂

Ramada will always be my favorite. My parents took me to one when I was like 10 years old and I never forgot the pool. They had a normal outdoor pool with a bar in the pool that was inside a waterfall. You had to go underneath the waterfall to get to it and it was like a whole ass nightclub back there, you can sit at a bar while in a pool it was awesome. The best part was they had this like 15 foot deep pool too, it was about the size of a large hot tub but it was pretty much this 15 foot hole you could dive down. As a tall person who always touched the bottom on pools it felt amazing to actually put in some effort to touch the bottom for once.

Rumor has it Motel 6 couldn't make it because they were cracked out.
Lived in one for far too long, the biggest problem we had over here was the smell of weed and an infestation of German cockroaches. They were gone on the _good_ side of the motel but the cheap side? Saw 1 not an hour in. Sad.
But the light were left on!

My first and only stay at a Super 8 had me deal with the maid sitting in my room watching tv, crumbs all over the inside of the couch with the pullout bed, and shrimp tails on the floor. We changed hotels super quick.

My local super 8 got shut down because it was a bio hazzard and fire risk. Renovations lasted half a year and in the first month it re-opened, it burned down
