      Sometimes it's also an issue with the wiring that goes through the door jam. So if the actuators look OK, then look for broken wires in the door jams (in the rubber boots). Thanks for watching!

    The problem side is the passenger side front. When we unlock from the driver's side the passenger side front stays locked while the sliding door and the rear hatch unlock?

    Hi there, thanks for the very helpful information. Central lock in My 98 Rialta (Eurovan) doesn’t work (I need to lock each door individually, by the key fob). I checked the wires and all 4 wires seem ok ( each one is connected to its dual on the passenger side). But there is no hot wire (I think the red one should be 12 but it isn’t). Would you let me know if you have Any idea what could be the problem (I’ve checked fuse box and it seems ok).

    • @EXOVCDS
      @EXOVCDS  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, the red wire (driver door & passenger door) should have power all the time. The fuse is located above the 2 rows of relays. Look for a 15A fuse that is probably blown... if a new fuse blows as soon as you plug it in, you will have to do some checking as to why (disconnect one actuator after the other until the fuse does not blow anymore).

      Thanks so much. You were right a 2nd row of fuses had a burnt 15amp. Replaced and now it works :)

    How did you remove it from behind? Is there a hook? Also my directional light on the passenger side does not shut off. Any parts I need to look at. Could it be a lock module control? Do I need to reprogram my keys after replacing it

    • @EXOVCDS
      @EXOVCDS  3 роки тому

      The green lock actuator "hooks in" to the lock rod... you have to "tilt" the lock actuator to remove it from the hook. I don't know, I would have to check a wiring diagram to see if it is a Central Locking System Control Module issue... or if it has to do with the Immobilizer.

    How do the inner & outer locks "mesh" or come together for lack of a better word?
    My (dad's) Eurovan has a similar problem but the actuator is stuck in the locked position.
    On top of that, the key wont turn in the lock at all.

    • @EXOVCDS
      @EXOVCDS  8 років тому

      +Erik Liska Can you open the door from the inside? If yes, open the door and remove the outside door handle... then you can see how things "mesh".

    Hello Thomas;
    My '92 Eurovan passenger door lock insists on locking and will only open with a key and stays open while the door is open but then locks itself and all other doors when the door is closed -- very annoying. Would the problem be the actuator?

    • @EXOVCDS
      @EXOVCDS  5 років тому

      Grab the lock knob / pull knob at the base of the window... lift up and down (door closed).... how tight does the movement feel? Very loose? The problem could be a broken over center spring in the door latch assembly.

    • @bcisantbcisant9842
      @bcisantbcisant9842 5 років тому

      @@EXOVCDS The lock knob is very hard to lift -- extremely hard. Tension on the knob pulls it right back again. Does this mean it is the actuator?

    • @EXOVCDS
      @EXOVCDS  5 років тому +1

      @@bcisantbcisant9842 Could be. What happens when you unlock from the other side? If one side is commanding lock.. even though you want to unlock, it will go back to locking.
