76yo. Thank you Mel, Matilde and Grey. This conversation gave expression to much of my experience, as have other episodes of Made It Out. It’s thrilling to hear young, articulate, funny, thoughtful, self-aware accounts of shades of queerness. it gives me confidence. It feels like a gift.

I was quite confused by this one, the whole gender discussion until Grey said 'Im a Female, but I'm not a women' , that kinda clicked for me. This is exactly why whilst sometimes gender discussions make me feel uncomfortable, it's important... This was a good one and I'm glad I stuck around ! Thank you both 😊

It does feel awkward to change your name. But it shouldn't be. If you don't connect to it, you should change it. Our birth name doesn't mean true name. It's just a name chosen for us by our parents. We should fully embrace exploring names & finding one (or more🤷) that we feel connected to & meshes with our authentic self 😘✨️🌈🧡
Always look forward to new episodes! You gals are doing such a fantastic job with this podcast. Thank you! 💐 Happy birthday Grey 🎂🍨🎉

This is a different episode for me. I'm trying to understand all the terminology that is used these days. I screw it up on a regular basis but I am trying. Living in the Bible belt I have to admit one is not exposed as much here as other parts of the country. I grew up in a very conservative family and a very religious family. I have struggled with many of the same issues Grey has my whole life. People as a whole are afraid of change end of being different. The fear of being an outcast is stronger than the yearning to be who you are in some cases. Hope this makes sense. Happy birthday Grey. You have a beautiful smile. As always thanks for taking us along for the ride.

I get that. I was never confident or felt like I fit in. Those years in small town school's and raised sheltered that was never talked or heard about. I'm now 49 and came out 3 years ago. I'm fully feeling comfortable it what I wear now. I look back and I do see that if I knew more I would've found myself sooner. I'm married now to a woman and jumped in fast. I feel like I missed out on experiencing other woman and wish I found myself earlier. Don't get me wrong I love my wife and wouldn't do anything to mess it up. She knows how I feel and she feels the same. Love you guys.

This is such perfect timing. I was just discussing the topic of gender fluidity with my parents and couldn’t really explain it to them. You guys really helped me understand this a bit more and the way you kept saying "if you want to go back you can and if you want to stay non binary then that's fine too" that was really comforting.

This episode was so insightful and great! As always! I'm now very excited to go find Grey's books, I'm really curious about their poetry. 🙌
Also, I've heard someone else say "I'm female, but I'm not a woman" before a couple of years ago and it really resonated with me. I think it was also someone who identified as non-binary. It was interesting to hear Grey say it and remind me of it. I still struggle with this myself, I just changed my pronouns on Instagram for like... the third time. 😂 I'm thinking to just keep "they/she/he" so I can change my mind whenever I want... Basically, I just don't care about the pronouns others use when referring to me. It's a process. ✨
Thank you for another amazing episode, hope you have a great day whenever you're reading this. ❤️

Made it Out, makes every Tuesday a little bit more special. Learning so much from these podcasts.
Grey is just so lovable and I hope they have memorable (in a good way😀) 30th Birthday. 🎈🎉🎂🥂🍻♥
To be trans is to take a journey from our Cis beginning and find ourselves. The idea we go from one binary position to another and that's all the choice you get is thankfully drifting into the past. The journey is ours and ours alone, we can go in any direction we want, we can stop n start, plus keep on moving with no set in stone ending... just the journey.
Far more trans people are gender queer than I think people realise. x

Hey! Love the pod helps me a lot with my english. I was thinking that you could also invite non-lesbian people who still have something to say on the topic. For example parents who had to gontrough hard times because their gay child was abused. Lawyers or workers from human rights organizations. Maybe supportive sorority leaders or priests, it would be so interesting I think!
Keep up the good work team and make Mal laugh a lot because it is so fine fine

Oof. This podcast is making me realize maybe my obsession with being hot or attractive was my coping mechanism for the way I would look and feel about girls. I would think to myself, “is it gay to be focused on girls and have these feelings? No, I must just wanna be like them.” But the truth is I don’t have to be hot. That sounds so obvious but I guess it was my way of hiding. I definitely have always felt very fluid in the way I dress. Love basketball shorts. Love sports bras. Love dresses.

I think that these kind of feelings are very deeply due to the fact that our spirit is gender-free. We have reached the point of spiritual evolution where we already want to transcend matter. Conservative religions do not represent true spirituality, so they clash with what is happening. The grammatical changes, however, are very confusing and unnecessary because they are something physical, tangible as well. We should allow everyone to see us as they feel it without meaning an offense. It is simply "their perception", not ours. It should not affect us. We are consciousness embodied in a circumstantial vessel-body that came to experience this dual-physical dimension, but duality is an illusion. Just live and love while you are here, how and whoever you want!
