I've been to India many times. You can buy toiletries easily as well as over the counter medicine. Buy a "mosquito machine" which plugs into the outlet of your room from local store there. Carry your passport under your clothes. Bring a padlock. Buy bottled water there. Instead of worrying about the noise, I found it one of the interesting facets. Have a great trip.
It's a small plugin device usually with a small bottle of mosquito insecticide that aerates while plugged in. The old style used to not be as good as the ones now in case you read some stories. Although some areas in India do not have malaria, you can get other stuff while you are getting chewed up. For daytime protection Odomos products work well too. Odomos works on noseeums in case you have them in your area of the states.
You got this Mel ,This is going to be a great ,You are going to enjoy all the different experiences ! Can’t wait to follow along on your journey as you take us along T
No, it is on my bucket list though. My fabulous daughter in law is half Irish and half Indian. Before Covid we had discussed making a trip. We should get busy planning that trip next year.

Hah, well maybe it's not for everyone. I (Jay) will have to reserve judgement until I visit someday. I think that like anywhere, it can be beautiful, serene, and quiet in some areas, and loud, messy and polluted in others!

Thanks for the tips! What exactly does a mosquito machine do? How does it work?

Hit me up with some questions you have. I am in India after all. Clothing - it depends on which part of India you are going to.

You couldn't pay me enough to go to India, are you out of your mind?

@@HomeARoam Well good luck finding areas that aren't loud, messy and polluted. Not many people that go to India ever do it a second time.
