Loved it. I have never heard of that cake before. I am down South and we don't really get special foods from Himachal. But it looks so good. McLeod Ganj is a place that I really want to see someday.
Bhagsu Cake reminds me of a square we have at home called millionaire bars. It's very tasty and worth a visit to come get some. When you come, check out Singh's for the original.
We love your adventure, sort of reminds me of my travels in middle Asia to Korea / Thailand. Electrical power in that whole area does not change, just a total messy maze. [OSHA would cry over there]. We are not sure we could take the heat there.
I'll bet there are quite a few similarities between the infrastructures. Every time I see the electrical wiring I think of my Dad (who is an electrician) and how horrified he would be. 😅 The heat in Dharamshala isn't too bad compared to Delhi, but walking up and down that hill is killer.
In busy places, I'm right there with you with regards to having a guide. This place is a lot more chill and there aren't too many roads to get lost on. I've felt very comfortable walking around and exploring on my own.
I didn’t relish that you would be there for a month !! Is it a safe place where very little crime ? You are sure adventurous in the area and learning yoga!! Some beautiful scenery!! As always BS & BK & BC !! Now I see hubby doing the chores of a bachelor and must be saying something to himself ?? “This is a lot work “ !! Enjoy your time doing what you like !!
Yes, it's a long trip. 5 weeks in total. The town where I am completing my training feels super relaxed and safe. I have comfortably walked around on my own a few times without any issues. I even had trouble finding a shop one day and people were so friendly to approach to help me.
Yes ... India has so many places like this , full of different heritage and diversity but the some popular news channel like BBC and CNN and many western youtubers will always show you negetive side .. don't know why just because for thumbnail and views

Mel you are brave!
Why let fear get in the way of dreams, right?
How adventurous! I’m a bit of a baby and like being guided by someone!

Looks much nicer than Delhi. Delhi was far too loud and peoply for my taste. Hope you are loving the yoga classes. 💕
It's way quieter than Delhi! Sleeping is much more peaceful and there are fewer crowds.
