Thanks for this video. It was a big help!!
Great info on removing the mold. Scales and Aphids contribute to the honeydew which is sugar and the mold feed on the sugars exceeded by the pest. If you don't see scale bugs, look under the leaves for aphids. Because the mold on he bark if from scales, if they are on the leaves that mold if from aphids.
Wow i was so excited to see a Gardening channel then saw you have not posted in two years =( i hope you come back i think this would be a great channel!
Just what I was looking for. I have 2 that are dormant now about the same size as yours that are covered in soot so I'll give the soap and water treatment a try and use the orchard spray. I thought initially this might have been from the Snow storm we had last year, 7 inches here in Austin, lost my Wax Myrtle and a Cherry Laurel from the Ice but the Crape myrtles survived. Thank you again
Thank you for very informative video
Great information thanks
Great video! Subscribed! Hope all is well in your garden as I don’t see any updates.
Good information, looks like the Katy area.
Thankyou. Great video. Sorry you have to suffer that ignorant neighbor
What's the update with your trees?
Great info, thank you. How did you get your green thumb? Did you study horticulture?
Any update on the scale?
The best thing for these is systemic drench. It will take a few weeks for it to be affective but it can last a year. Home improvement stores carry it. Bayer makes a good one. It's not cheap and it won't wash the mold for you.
So you don’t have to kill them somehow after you scrub them off?
It’s February and my trees are black I’m also in Houston can I wash them before they start budding?
It is February now, I am in Austin , I have the exact problem with my crepe Myrtle ,
