I cant believe there are actually people out there whod rather have 2 copies of the same weapon. Like your team is your team, they sometimes change, and you can remove the weapon and put it on someone else. Why go through another lv90 same weapon when you can make it more powerful and keep it as your special "one day R5"?
The only exceptions are whales who already have R5.
Theres also future weapons and future pulls. If you have one homa for both zhongli and hu tao lv90, it would be so shitty if you get an even more powerful zhongli signature weapon and you couldve had an R2 Homa for your main DPS

For me, I always refine my wp until r5 even if they're 5*. There's little likelihood that I'm gonna run two characters on the same team that will need that same weapon
and it costs so much to level that other weapon to max aswell. It's pretty much a waste.

Yesterday I got my first 5 star and it's Qiqi. I was sad at first but later I played with her for some time and realised she was actually not that bad. Considering I don't have a good shield character, her healing is very efficient. I'm a F2P btw.
In the beginning of Genshin people thought Qiqi was broken but then everyone realized she's underwhelming. Try gliding with her. Her 30 second moaning audio clip makes me want to break my keyboard in half 🤭
shes not the greatest,but she's not terrible, pair her with a battery cause she sucks on energy recharge, and give her cryo artifact and attack, she should be good, shes just not great for whales, my qiqi is not leveled up because i got kokomi and jean, and already have 2 leveled up cryos, so im not sure where to fit her on my teams yet when i already have 2 or 3 bruiser healers

I got Qiqi in one of my beginner's wishes... I was happy to have a 5 star... she seems pretty decent... still my only 5 star.
imho qiqi is the best 5* you can get in the early game. she is OP healer(less uptime then healers like shinobu, buf still better then barbara) that can heal you even out of combat. and in the beginning of the game you need heals (saves a lot of food or time you waste reviving).
and her passive makes hunting for plant in liyue trivial.
the only place she is not that useful - abyss and endgame dungeons. because you don't really need healing there.

When you F2P, you don't plan for weapons, you just appreciate when you finally get them. My only 5 star weapon is Wolf's Gravestone, I gave that to Beidou since I don't have a Diluc.

The refines are incremental, but they stack up. This is incredible luck that suits your account and way you play so well
I pulled my final constellation on Mona today.. It feels unreal.. Mona was my number 1 wanted 5 star at launch and I didn't get my first one until 1.3 or 1.4.. I was expecting Qi Qi to be first, but my last few lost 50/50's were Mona, Keqing, and then Mona.. taking the spot from my C5 Qi Qi. I'm also excited that my 50/50 is ready for Itto!

@@bowkenpachi7759 That really was just his way of coping with the fact that he spent 4,000 primos on the standard banner. Mtashed does care about his primos but whenever he gets crap pulls he becomes high on copium.
Why only single pulls? Also, after months and months of playing I finally understood wishes because no in-game content explained them, and I did a 10 pull on an appropriate banner. I NEEDED a hydro character other than Barbara. My first 10 pull was Xingqiu AND Kokomi. I was floored my 2nd and 3rd pulls were Xingqiu. I'm stoked!!
Because it doesn’t matter. Every 10 pulls (singles or multi) will net you a 4 star. After 75, soft pity starts and rates increase as you get to 90 which is hard pity. Some people just feel more lucky doing singles.

All sources of %dmg are additive. Amos' passive isn't uniquely multiplicative like Mtashed is making it out to be here. Still good to refine though since no one other than Ganyu will want to use the weapon.
seeing how tough it is to get 5* weapons as f2p, i see it being a waste to refine it as the dmg increase is really negligible. Saving it for a future character would have wiser, f2p speaking.
@@byooob it is efficient to save but not effective on most cases.
Why efficient? In some cases, Skyward Harp or Aquila Favonia is worth to save 2 copies. They are both high base attack and can be used by main dps and attack buffers like Bennett and Sara.
Why it is more effective to refine other weapon? Because weapon refinement from r1 to r5 will DOUBLE the weapon passive. Even it is not really noticable, maxing the potential of main dps is really important. Why settle for less for your damage dealer where you have an option for more?
@@byooob It roughly depends on the type of weapon. For generally great weapons such as Crit or ER% sticks, or those with a somewhat general passive, definitely do not not refine them. Amos is an extremely niche weapon - to a point that a lot of 4-star options are extremely close to its potential (outside of Ganyu).
I doubt MHY will release a character with very similar mechanics to Ganyu - that is it will have attacks that will GUARANTEE arrow flight to at least 0.3 seconds. And even if they did, I feel there's very little reason for people to pull for it if they already have Ganyu unless they really do want that type of gameplay, and they do plan to run both of them separate in Abyss.
Mean while I just pulled my sixth Mona from the standard banner, and I don’t even use her despite having her best in slot weapon as well. Sadge
Mtashed is not so f2p. f2p do daily commissions, events, quests and use 4 condensed resin for def stat garbage artifacts and then produced to wish for black teasel every day and get barbruh for 4 star and qiqi for 5 star. This guy is not f2p, Hence proved.

Go with your gut, you are definitely correct in this case. Amos Bow is pretty much only best in slot for Ganyu, other main DPS bow users don't really benefit from Amos Bos and the support bow users all benefit more from many of the 4* options. Hope you get R5 Amos some day!

Amos is a C-tier 5* weapon except when on Ganyu. There is no reason to save it for anyone else since it would be pretty useless on anyone else.
Not if Mihoyo decided to do another charged attack based bow character, probably never going to have broken scaling like Ganyu tho
Most of the Archers are not DPS like Ganyu.And only she can fully benefit from Amos Bow so its worth refining it

This Amos can also be good for Yoimiya because she infuses her normal attacks with pyro. So you can be dealing more damage with your fireworks.
remember mtashed wasted way more primos on standard banner. that would ruin even a budget player's limited banner savings. mtashed is just lucky. ur not supposed to get 3 amos like that. the way he used primo would ruin your account. those free gems arent the major factor. if a f2p got those, they would get a few 4 stars and build pity for a qiqi. the factor for mtashed is his luck,

To be honest all the skyward weapons are trash because of all the new weapons power creeping them. They are still good, but comparing them to the knew weapons they are just 4*'s in disguise. So getting them is a waste unless you got them from feee fates.

Yes and no. Before the streamer event, which everyone even you could have participated in, he got the normal amount of f2p primogems like every other f2p player out there. But he participated in an event which you and I missed so he got rewards for participating in this streaming event

each refinement of amos for ganyu, gets you ~3.5% damage increase at 0.2 sec arrow flight (aka, 0.4 sec flight time for the bloom to receive the full bonus)
it's not huge, and definately not worth spending money on (weapon banner is always a trap) but if you have it randomly, it's not bad to refine the bow...
*unless* it's your only 5* bow, and you use the characters:
Sara (bigger attack buff than all 4* bows)
Childe (stronger than all 4* bows)
Yoimiya (stronger than all 4* bows)
Amber (her bis... lol)
childe especially really, he has meta teams that can pair with ganyu's teams for the abyss.
eg) taser childe+melt ganyu, or international childe + morgana/morgaka
and who knows about future bow characters (that aren't replacing ganyu, but pairing with her on the other side of the abyss)
amos bow is literally the only bow you should refine as a F2P player, mtashed really is F2P god

At the current stage of genshin, if a billionaire account worth of 1 month is started today I'm sure it would be stronger than a 6 month account. 30 days of full resin refills + rushed completion of quest is enough for that. Consider also they have unlimited supply of mora and (high advantage) on talent book acquisition thru genesis crystal purchase. C6 characters also adds +3 talents for skills and burst...
The AR comparison do not mostly matter especially 45 compares to 58 up since most of that ar accumulated by an f2p is thru dailies while the resin used by f2p is divided on mora,books,talent mats,and weapon mats(ohh I forgot there is also a whale type of ores :3).
Just think about all the events and featured 5 stars(ganyu, kazuha, ayaka, hu tao). Also, I have enough mora, talent book and talent mats after playing 5 month as f2p. NOT EVEN CLOSE
@@sungksy you are forgetting the fact that the billionaire account could literally have all of their gacha'd c6 character have a r5 5 star weapon each. Plus on a patch rotation they have the childe/hu tao banner assuming its on this patch. They can give 2 r5 homa to xiangling and hu tao and take them to c6.
We are talking about a billionaire account here. That account could even be payed to be piloted when the user feels bored to play.
hutao isn't out yet(need another 2 weeks) and last 5 star was kokomi. you might be able to beat f2p with hutao, but not with kokomi and man childe.

Off topic but one thing that rubs me the wrong way as a returning player is that you have to complete the majority of the story to participate in events. I was planning on taking my time and enjoying the story but now I feel I have to rush through before the events end or I’ll miss out.
1 year welkin moon is 36k primogems for $83 cad
I got Ganyu on her first banner she was my first good dps previously I had Venti and Qiqi but as of June 2022 I don't have an amos bow I knew Ganyu was coming in 2.4 so I saved 15k primos but Zhongli came out of nowhere and I had to pull for him in the end I did 20 pulls on the weapon banner and got a jade spear I don't have xiao.
As a f2p i would save all my extra weapon copies :)

Refining to R3 is good for ganyu and her only if a new character comes and he needs another amos well it his loss, well thats who he is can't argue with that.
