This car has aged so well, and at 30 grand these days I find it something i'd love to aim for. No R8 that has come out since the gen 1 gated V8 has made me want anything different than one of these.
I don't understand why people are dissing this car. It's a phenomenal car. It might not have the figures to be as fast as most people would hope in a straight line, but it definitely does well on a track. But just for the haters, wait until the V10 or the TDI. Will be a great day.
lol the lap times are confusing at first, but its because Autocar seem to have a completely different circuit for wet lap they call the 'wet handling circuit'. Is much shorter than the dry one hence the quicker lap time!

Too bad Clarkson is a critic/journalist and can barely drive. Chris Harris is less entertaining (although he writes WAY better than Jeremy Clarkson), he routinely races in professional events.

It's a bit irritating having the camera pov bounce around. Can't you invest in a camera bracket?
I agree. I'd love them to be a lot more technical but I guess there's a limit to the mainstrean audiences attention span.

R8 is beautiful...it is not a good drag race car as it does not have enough muscle but on track and on the streets this thing is hot.
