I want to point out that, at 6:40 that zoom-in on chad's hand holding on Logan's is significantly more romantic than Donnie Yen's
As it's meant to be.
@@ScenicFights Please do the knife scene of "The villainess" Korean movie. Opening knife fight scene. I can assure you it's totally different
@@sozibrahman8504 i second that, it has similar choreography to the man from nowhere
Lol… I was thinking the same thing. 😂
@@ScenicFights NEW TO CHANNEL BUT LOVE THE CONTENT GUYS , I HAVE A FEW SUGGESTIONS THAT I THINK YOUSE WILL LIKE N THE VIEWERS TOO N WOULD LOVE IT IF YA'LL COULD DO A REACTION PLSSSS THANKS 😊 😀 😄 ❤👍👊
- REDBELT
- FIGHTER IN THE WIND
Not gonna lie Chad's and Logan’s chemistry is something else. It's always so fun to see these two
Just best friends doing best friend things. Glad you enjoy our chemistry!
@@ScenicFights Just guys being dudes
Well they are a couple.
...a couple of guys! 😉
For real!!! no lie what a great duo to have on UA-cam. Always so insightful an entertaining to watch Logan an Chad break down fights.
*these two nearly choke themselves out 🤣
When chad talks about how easy it is to break the opponents arm with the power armbar he's worryingly happy
Chad just loves beating up on Logan
@@ScenicFights yeah, I’ve noticed this,.. you lot need to analyse more knife focused fights, so Logan can get his own revenge…
Logan just tapped out of a very instinctive fear, not necessarily feeling the pressure
It's the same energy as Logan's "I will hurt/stab you"
@@pepegya5168 when you feel everything fall into place you don't need to wait for pain.
Donnie Yen is FIFTY EIGHT and still making us all feel deeply inadequate lol
Donnie Yen is immortal.
Donnie unpacking that telescopic is mic drop of a moment. You know shit's gonna go down.
One thing I'd like to point out is that the kevlar-type soft armor that Donnie is wearing is often not stab proof. It may be cut proof, and may stop a stab at an odd angle, but they're not designed to stop blade penetration. Body hits shouldn't be too much of an issue. "Bullet Proof" is a misnomer, because vests are bullet resistant up to a certain amount of force. If it had been a hard-armor ballistic vest, with front, back, and side plates, then I could see having to work around it.
This one had plates plus, I don't want to waste time figuring if I can or can't penetrate; if I see a non-covered area, I'll go for that first and move on my merry way.
@@logan607 Ah, I haven't been able to watch the movie yet, so I didn't know. But, that makes sense, if you aren't sure, just assume it is protected.
PS, I love this series, and all the great work you and Chad do!
Dang I just added a comment about this. I pointed out it's just tightly wound wire fibers which WILL stop a bullet but they're weak against edges and pointed tips lol. He'd have been a lot better off with a Shank proof vest
@@logan607 I'm sure you get asked such questions very often, but have you thought about doing a review on Corridor Crew's Lightsaber Fight?
@@wipplewopple1876 that fight was INSANE
And here I thought Chad is going to do a wall run to armbar high athletic move and I didn't know Logan can do Balisong knife tricks
Still epic breakdown from an epic movie
We have no walls in The Void that is our set
@@ScenicFights Sure Chad, keep saying that
Donnie Yen's Raging Fire (2021) is a must watch for Donnie Yen fans. You can watch it now on Amazon Prime, Hi-Ya TV or buy it on Blu-Ray!
How would you rate Raging Fire with his other 2000s era films like SPL, Special ID and Flash Point?
And as always, it's always glad to be back with another upload, what other fight scene would you like to see us breakdown next?
The hype is way to freaking real, it’s been a while since you covered Donnie Yen and I can’t wait to see you cover another baton fight scene again
Well done keep up the great work!!!
I respect the on the fly opening
I'd be super keen to see you react to something a bit out of the wheelhouse. This one in particular;
ua-cam.com/video/xd5xYGlBzlM/v-deo.html
“He’s 58!” … That addition should’ve pumped the grade up to an “A”!
GREAT BREAKDOWN as always (A+)!
Donnie Yen is like the old Ezio Auditore from Assassin's Creed, doing wall run while being almost 60.
Old Man Ezio Auditore from Assassin's Creed: Revelations was awesome!
@@ScenicFights You guys should do Assassin's Creed breakdowns too. Either the cutscenes or the gameplay itself (especially the counterattacks), it's got a lot of weapon Logan can breakdown from scimitar, yataghan, daggers, hidden blade, hidden hook, guns, mace, darts, etc.
. they should do one on Connor from ac3
@@rocelderamos3013 Yeah! Especially Revelations Cinematic Trailer
@@saplkereviz6824 I remembered that. When I played it back then, I thought the scene was so cool because of the choreography. But now that I watch too much videos on martial arts, I watched the scene again and was like "wtf, did he just headbutt a guy in a helmet?" 😂
It really breaks my heart that Thomas Jane’s Punisher is the only time we’ve ever scene an Emerson get used, and we didn’t even get a sick wave draw mid fight. As a knife guy, it’s a real let down.
Waitwhatnow?
@@logan607 sorry man, im real bent out a shape about this Emerson knives thing and this seemed like a good place to vent. If y’all haven’t had the chance to try out an Emerson, I highly recommend it, but I do warn you that your ganna feel the same existential dread that I do once you start using it.
same man. dont own any emersons, i prefer to stick with my crk but its a great feature
@@rjflores3800 I've got three, they're great! BUT I didn't know it was in Jane's Punisher. Do you have a timestamp for me?

Should break down the fight scene in John Wick 3 between Keanu Reeves, Yaya Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman. Loved that fight.
You guys should breaking down the final fight of the show “My name”. It’s a korean show and the choreography’s are AMAZING
Second that! Had a lot of fun watching it and would love to see a breakdown of it
Yes! Definitely not amazing compared to the great action movies, but for a TV show the action is very very good. Loved the show in general. The main character (Han So-hee) is also ridiculously hot.
I was just about to comment about My Name. I still have 3 episodes left and there are at least 2 fights worthy of a breakdown.
Great work guys, that face on the choke of 'sorry not sorry' hilarious
honestly i love watching these two break down fight scenes
I see Logan finally got revenge on Chad with that bar choke
And it was super sweet. You saw Chad's face at 11:55 lol
The arm bar segment reminded me of UFC, Cory Sandhagen escape when his elbow was fuly flexed. Great work guys!
Chad and Logan never cease to amaze their viewers with awesome contents.
Appreciate the comment as always! Thank you so much for the support. Are there any other fight scene that you'd like to see us breakdown next?
I like how all the sudden cuts to them just holding onto each other and staring at the camera, feels like something out of a romcom
Thank you SO much for covering this fight scene, it’s been a while since you covered Donnie Yen and Raging Fire brought back that classic MMA/Baton Donnie Yen back
4:32 The spinning back kick: probably the flashiest kick that is the most effective
Also Logan is correct, Donnie Yen’s most iconic moves are mainly kicks, such as his triple kicks and his every so amazing back kick
Also since our man Donnie and SO many other action icons is going to be in John Wick 4, I can’t wait to see future breakdowns of their fight scenes
Donnie Yen's kicks are amazing!
Have you guys thought about doing a scenic breakdown of jet li's fearlesses final fight with the Japanese fighter? Some amazing weapons work, and some hand-to-hand at the end
Chad explaining something: Logan's expression is like, "Alright. I am going to add this into my arsenal. Cool!!"
Logan explaining something: Chad's expression is like, "I am gonna run, man. This dude is just crazy. Get the hell out of here."
I'm, mostly, normal.
So cool to see so many techniques referenced back to prior videos as more come out. Its like the Scenic Cinematic Universe is filling out lol
Lmao at SCU (Scenic Fights Cinematic Universe). Honestly, it's really cool that we've done enough videos to be able to refer to previous breakdowns. We are really lucky. Thank you for the continual support.
I really want to see them breakdown the Krauser fight from RE4
Wow! Really excellent breakdowns. Entertaining commentary too!

It's 1 Am and im sure as hell not gonna sleep before watching this.
I love the butterfly knives too! I've owned 7 in my life one at 6' sharpened like a razor. I wouldn't pick any other knife because of how easy it is to show style and speed in an intimidating way
Appreciate the content guys, great as always!
Fun, informative and wholesome as always! Great breakdown!
I legit just watched the movie for a fuller context on this scene. Love it.
It's a great film. Highly recommend everyone to go watch Raging Fire.
Again you guys point out one of the main things I see alot of the kids in my neighborhood ignore when they spare. Leverage. Thanks again gents for showing a very critical rule that should be respected in a fight
Interesting. Love you guys' channel so much!
Chad, a trained fighting athlete, a literal chad : "I'll be honest, i'm not that athletic"
Me : hmm yes interesting, of course, yes hmm
I missed you guys welcome back😎💯👍🏾! My wife and I watched Raging Fire and it was an awesome 👌 ✅🎯!!! Excellent breakdown to both of you😁😁!!!
We missed you too! Glad you enjoyed Raging Fire. It's an awesome Donnie Yen film.
I remember how excited I was for this movie, in part because it reminded me so much of Donnie Yen's stuff from years ago, like SPL and Flashpoint, with very hard hitting, fast paced action. I wasn't disappointed. Despite this scene not holding up as well technically, it was still a great climax to a very entertaining movie. R.I.P. Benny.
It's an extremely entertaining fight scene. I highly recommend anyone reading this go to watch Raging Fire now. R.I.P. Benny Chan.
I agree, but that may just be due to everything both characters had to go through in the movie up until that point, resulting in them not being at their best psychologically, aside from the Superman punch.
Granted that's not always the case in movies/shows.
Could also be that some details getting overlooked sometimes 'cos of how much time they spend on fight scenes in Hong Kong.
In Hollywood, they spend maybe a day or half a day on their fight scenes.
In the final fight in Ip Man 4, I think they spent like a week on that scene. I believe Scott Adkins has talked about how he was hurting from soreness due to spending the entire day, each of those days on getting the fight scenes right. So they probably have a lot of takes, with not all of them matching perfectly.
Benny Chan not being alive to do the editing himself could also have been a factor.
I love your enthusiasm and joy! Thanks for making another great video! ❤️
Thank you Maddy for the support as always ❤️
Hey guys nice job as always, can't wait for next video!
The next breakdown is almost here! What other fight scene would you like to see us breakdown next?
I love how you guys analyze scenes that, in my knife naivety, I would think are gratuitous and over-acted, but after your analysis, I see as a carefully constructed scene with maybe one or two slight transgressions.
I look forward to seeing your analysis of the Hollywood reboot of the Man From Nowhere. Would like it even more if you consulted on the knife scene :-). Then I know it would at least be 💯.
Thank you for the awesome comment Mike! We are going to be all over the reboot for The Man From Nowhere. Hoping it's a good film, but doubt it given Hollywood's resume on remakes lol.
I didnt hear they were rebooting The Man From Nowhere, its one of my favorite films. Sadly, Hollywood does not fare well with taking Asian films and putting the same attention to details, just look at our version of Old Boy.
Nooo! Props to you guys. Great video and tutelage. Love the distinction between the explanations of blunt vs. edge weapons. Also... Can't lose with Donnie. Can't wait for John Wick 4.
I’m so proud of the exceptional production quality that you guys have maintained, it’s always a joy to see you guys on my feed!
And it's our pleasure to keep seeing you return to our channel! Thanks for the constant support.
This channel is like a blessed love child between my old wrestling coach and a martial arts instructor talking shop over a beer. It’s weird feeling like I’m back in the gym watching a coach demonstrate a move while a dude simultaneously talks about shivving a dude but it’s a pleasant surprise, like finding that surprise curly in your order of straight fries. 5/5 stars. Would recommend.
5/5 nostalgic comment. Glad our videos can take you back to the good old days.
I know it isn’t a show but I recommend some for the most part realistic martial arts manga like Teppu or All-Rounder Meguru. The acttion panels are well done and the manga do enough explanation for evwryone to get what the fighters’ are intending to do
Guys, you are amazing! The way how you explain everything in details is impressive, as your professionalism. Great great thank you for your job!
Our pleasure! Comments like these motivate us to continue creating these breakdowns for you!
It’s ALWAYS a good day when you guys make another video!

Donnie Yen is always impressive. It seems like Logan is always a second away from breaking an arm
In our Ava breakdown, Logan really almost broke his arm: ua-cam.com/video/OIM9lFRQitU/v-deo.html

The best martial arts channel in my subscriptions. I know you're busy, but I would watch every video even if you pumped them every day. The explanations, alternative moves and humor are on point. I have only one wish: break down any scene you like from Raid: Redemption. This movie is freaking epic.

What's your favorite Baki fight scene?
@@ScenicFights ughh toph one, netflixs Baki Hanna is really good but the fights are generally keeps going with pauses through one or two episodes and characters have like no joke super human strenght and durability so its different From a fight scene lets say kengan ashura
Very good episode! Very funny and entertaining as always

Now, I understand why in games I see soldiers using CQC with two knives in ice pick on one hand and hammer on the other.
Icepick and Hammer grip combo is the way to go! Thanks for the awesome comment and support.
yet another movie i watched per your recommendation ...excellent work (and movie) guys :)
It's always awesome to read that you found a movie to watch per our breakdown (and actually enjoyed it). Much appreciate the comment.

Very cool for a guy two years younger than me.
Nicholas Tse was great in Raging Fire.
@@ScenicFights When you both have some free time should check out his movie Time and Tide sometime. Not to do a reaction to but because it's a good action flick with him in it. It's from 2000.

@@ScenicFights coming from a dedicated and expert team as yours the result would be amazing, and surely would go to see a movie of you to as lead actors.
I love how you guys take these movie scenes and clearly and completely explain what is happening, and what ought to have happened were it a 'real' fight. I was always taught if they have a knife, run like hell if you can. But these are fantastic videos even just for the fun of it. (Plus who doesn't enjoy two handsome dudes wrasslin')
I just watched bad boys for life for the first time. And God daym the knife scene in the beginning is nuts. Would be amazing if you could break it down. Since he pulls a karambit in a close combat gun fight
