Riding & Crashing Berm Peak's Biggest Jump

- Today we are back at Berm Peak and continuing on my quest to ride every single feature here. The airbag jump is the biggest jump in all of Berm Peak, but unfortunately has been out of commission since my arrival... until now! Today, we’re going to that - and send this thing!

In the last video I set out to ride every sketchy feature in my buddy Seth’s backyard and after a very hard fought battle I emerged victorious.
But if I achieved my goal and conquered my fears, then what’s still keeping me up at night?
Due to a long winter and wet spring, the airbag jump has been out of commission since my arrival, so I unfortunately couldn’t include it in my last video. Despite having a perfectly good excuse, I still felt like it was a bit of a cop out since this airbag happens to be the biggest jump on all of berm peak!
So today, we’re going to make things right - and send this thing!
There’s only one problem….if you saw the last video through to the end, you will know that my trail bike is…. errrrr…. out of order…. - Розваги
15:20 mans does a table, no footer, and a manual to a drift. very impressive alex
Hahah
Petition for Seth and Alex to build a wide, flowy, not sketchy line of table tops that get progressively bigger so they can actually warm up on things
I
Tom Sanger I
crank it up mini
Seems like a cool idea
No chance. Seth likes sketchy shit too much
Mrs Bikehacks in homoffic during a Zoom-Meeting: "Don't mind my husband and his friends yelling in the backyard, please." xD
Bruh I thought you said mrs.bikehacks is homophobic and this sentence took like 5 times to read 😂
I only had to read it 3 times!!
for anyone who is wondering, hes saying "home office" lol

*“A lot of people come up to a lip like this and they’ve never ridden a lip like this”* - Seth 2020
This one hurt to make, but I'm really stoked to share it! Sometimes I need to remind myself that not everything I do online has to be a massive success, and that it's cool to share that stuff too! After all, the sour makes the sweet all that much better :P
This one took a while to create, hence the XXL video at 17 minutes long. Thank you all for being so patient between vids - I hope you all enjoy it!

You and Seth together are a dream team
@@cluckers1479 hi you just commented
Really glad you decided to make the video, man. I don't see any failures here, just a dude taking chances!
The Singletrack Sampler as a great man once said we don’t make mistakes just happy accidents rip Bob Ross
Alex doesnt upload often, but when he does. You know its gonna be good.
This. 🙌
I know right
agreed
Same with seth
Durpy Cake yea
Progression isn’t always landing and coming out the way you thought it would. Progression is what you learned from the experience for sure. I road a 10 miles trail yesterday. Till this point I’d only ridden four or five miles. It’s was the hardest most technical trail I’ve done yet. But I finished and am hurting all over. But never have I been so proud and felt so accomplished. You Seth, BoBo and Kev have all inspired me so much to push myself.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." ― Thomas A. Edison
Nice video! 😁
As a wise man once said, "You ain't cool, unless you pee your pants." -Billy Madison lol
Yes
Lmao
You mean Adam Sandler lol ( I know they are the same person )
Kevin seems like a such different person when he is at Seth's place, he goes from a wild man on Bobo's videos to very mellow on Alex and or Seth's. Btw, Very entertaining video you got here Alex.
Then again, Bobo is an _animal._ Kevin's gotta keep up!
I think it’s the difference between a PG channel and a rated R channel. I think They’re all more like portrayed in Bobo’s videos but clean it up with editing to keep the videos suitable for sponsors. 🤷🏼♂️
Ya Bobo force feeds Alex drugs soooo. I should probably say hides it in his food
"editing"
And very subdued on his own channel.
When I was into BMX dirt jumping, the best thing I ever learned was how to properly get away from the bike in the air. Take a few sessions and learn to push the bike away from you and do it in various positions that would cause a fall. It will build confidence just knowing you can and will have safer crashes.
You are a bike nerd
@@Heatherannenelson nothing wrong with that
3:47 that’s metal clad cable AKA “MC.” It comes with electrical wires inside and is a quick alternative to mounting conduit and fishing wires. The scraps tend to be about a foot long because when you pull it, you typically want 6”-12” of slack on the internal wires to make it easier to connect components, and allow for future repairs.
I’m not mad that you upload like every 2 weeks. Reason being is that you put so much time into your videos. They are top notch quality. Keep up the great work. Don’t worry about uploading more. It’s perfect the way it is 👍🏽🥳
dude when you said the video was coming late, we expected a normal mtb UA-cam video, we all failed to remember that you dont do normal
The music montage is nearly insane dudee. The fade when clip is gonna finish, that narrating, your choice of music... List goes on. Keep up the good work dude. You got insane videos.
🙌
15:27 worlds first manual lander to sidedrop-tiregrab frontflip. Damm. Happy you posted though was a good vid!!
That cable shield at 3:49 if anyone was wondering is From BX cable. You need to cut back some before hooking up to a box to expose the wires! BX is mostly used on commercial/ industrial because it has better strength. Rubber down everyone!
I doubt anyone will see this, but if you do, you're a legend and have a great day. :)
thanks
Thanks

That airbag is scarier than the entire rest of Berm Peak
I think the Kevin jump is the scariest
The actual airbag landing makes landing properly surprisingly difficult!
@@The_Sampler I now know you can land it perfect I have faith in you send it!!!!!!!!
I don't know the maim frame is preaty scetchy.
@@KristofferEk
The Maim Frame is the one feature I'd never hit, for damn sure.
I think what we all need is for Singletrack Sampler and Skills with Phil to Collab and cause as much confusion in the comment section as possible.
Ive gotten them mixed up so many times that i now check what channel im watching everytime i see a guy with long hair and a beard on screen.
Wait, you actually get them mixed up that often? (not sarcasm)
Alex Breaking his bike reminds me when Seth Snapped his Hardtail Frame on a jump
Who else was dying to hear the good news for a whole month tho
What news?

Sam Hulse the good news
Yeah me too

0:05 Instagram picture. Hell I could've never guessed that 😂
I love how you show your struggles in learning things! Makes me root for you to succeed.

Yes finally “the good news”
Great video
I wouldn't leave you guys hanging forever :P
Haven’t finished it but love the video so far I don’t think any of my friends would let me jump over them though
Failure is not a lack of success, failure is not trying...(again and again and again because we learn nothing from success)
You learn how to do things From succes
we learn that after all that pain of failing over and over and over again that we can actually do it from success after failure.
Except you learn what works with success lol
@@synthetixproductions5033 I would argue that success shows you learnt from your failures.
True
Glad you made the video! KEEP IT UP DUDE
I get in my own head too and watching you break down barriers like this is SO helpful.
Best in the biz Alex!!! Love, love, love your content. Your honest look into the ups and downs that come with a hobby like this motivate me to get out on the trail.
3:48 that’s the jacket of metal clad cable. Common for wiring buildings.
Was searching for a comment that said it was MC
Yep, also sometimes called BX flex
@@trob6108 Or Teck Cable.
EXACTLY !! BX ...
You know it’s a good day when Alex uploads
Awesome video man! Probably in the top 3 yet! I'm so glad you made it and were willing to post it!
am i a mountain biker? no. do i live near mountains? no. do i ever plan on mountain biking? not really. am i somehow still keenly interested in this channel that randomly showed up in my recommended? absolutely. also... his hair is *beautiful*.
It's filmed like at a professional movie level and edited and the story telling is amazing
HaHa I had a good laugh when you said “it’s hot out, it’s like 90 degrees out.” 😂
I’m from Arizona and I wish we had 90 degree summer days. I think yesterday’s temperature was 117.😂 Anyway keep up the great work, I love what your doing with the channel!
Although I’ll give it to ya, 117 is quite hot. But I’m from GA and I know what Seth and Alex mean when they say 90 is hot. It’s fairly hot but extremely humid, like hard to breath it’s so muggy out. Anyway, I’d love to be able to get out to Arizona sometime! Cheers!

Honestly I’m new to mtb as well. I know that there’s some pretty sick trails up north around Sedona and flagstaff, if ur willing to drive up there. But for trails closer to me and you, I’ve heard there’s some decent trails around gold canyon and the Superstition mountains. Once it cools down a bit I’m planning to do some more riding and exploring.
the degree is irrelevant, arizona is dry heat, ashville, id imagine it was wet heat when they were shooting the video
Im pretty sure 117 is now a wr cus hottest in the world has been 114 so.....
Nah bruh it actually was😂
Thank you for being so real with us. Inspires me to go out there, not give up, and conquer my fears! You rock 🤘🏽
Alex is so dang Inspiring. I've only been on his channel for about two days and now I just wanna go outside and do something. This guy literally got me from a stay in my room all day kinda person to somebody who wants to explore nature trails and stuff. Thanks Alex!
Dude, your editing skills are amazing keep up the GREAT work and I love your videos! ❤️❤️❤️
Alex you have the most chilled out vibe ever I would pay so much money just to hang out with you 😂
You SENT it dude! I'm still recovering from my first taste of singletrack and videos like this keep me motivated to get back out there as soon as I can. Love your videos
It’s crazy how berm beak has so many amazing trails and keeps so much nature in tact.
Congrats on hitting it! I bet it looks a lot bigger in person lol
Dude you insipre me so much keep up the great work.
I love your production and the time you clearly put into it. Thanks!
Such an awesome and inspirational video Alex! Thank you for posting!
3:48 this is rebar! It’s the saving grace of superheros and action movie dudes everywhere.
I love it when you're filling up the buggy with dirt and the suspension is just going down
Watching you helps me get over my fears and anxieties thank you!! -lead the way - stay Stoked
Alex i started the day watching your video, the day to day didnt let me finish it until the afternoon, the whole day i knew you were gonna make it and you did, i got really stoked by the end of the video at the end of my day, thanks for sharing your experience!!!
Anytime Seth and Alex are together l, it’s the best video, WE NEED MORE COLABS
Loving Alex, always okay with showing his true self with insecurities and all. I really appreciate that, showing others is okay to feel insecure and take precautions before committing. Thank you Alex!
Great job as always Alex!! Keep expanding your boundaries and trying new things. This video serves as such a great reminder of that.
This has been my favorite edit so far. It is great to see you improve on your editing and script writing on each video. Great job, man!
Let’s go couldn’t wait for this
"it's like 90 degrees out...."
it's 106 today here in Texas...
how ungreatful

It was 112f in fucking canada a week ago :(
Most spots on the east coast are very humid soo... it's kinda different. But 106 is hot any were in the world
It was 117 in Arizona a couple of days ago

I CANNOT believe that you've come this far Alex. I've been watching you since the beginning, and have enjoyed every second of your journey. Live Free, Ride Hard, And Get Stoked!!!
Alex, your videos are so well done. The story telling is fantastic and the content is great. Keep it up!
The insta story just turned out to be you falling asleep. INSANE
hahahahahaha
The brain writing checks the body can’t cash 😂😂. Trust me gets harder the older you get. 🤘🤘
Bro, great video, don't ever feel like you need to present only your best moments to us. As a newer rider it feels great watching this video knowing that you hit the same mental blocks I do when presented with new challenges. It makes you feel more human to me when I watch it and its very appreciated, so thanks!
That’s why I love this sport. It’s a battle to make yourself better. Every new thing we learn becomes a part of us in this sport. Great video Alex, thank you for sharing!
The fails made it even more interesting to watch. 🙂
The back tire hitting the landing really hurt even from this side of the screen
“A lot of people come up to a lip like this and they’ve never ridden a lip like this” - Seth 2020
Great video, really enjoy seeing the human side. There was a point where you were making videos that were at my level of progression but where skills are involved you have left me far behind!
I find it inspiring keep them coming!
I'm a skier and watching these videos has inspired me to try new jumps and stuff i never had even thought of doing, thanks Alex.
You can literally see him in mid air, heading just fine for the landing, losing all confidence, and causing himself to try and bail and crash
With Alex, it's always a mental game.
I heard it said once, "Failures are just steps to Success."
The cinematography, writing, and narration on your videos is absolutely amazing, Alex!!! top notch work!! keep it up.
Very glad you did not get seriously injured. Thanks for sharing.
The fact that the bike can hit you when you fall is scary af buuuuutt, just go watch Seth bike hacks how to bail video and everything will be better😂
Any other aussies hearing the Geelong theme song in the crash real
Dude. I love that you posted this video. It's awesome to see a realistic view of how hard it is to learn a new trick. Failure and learning can be the same thing. It's all about perspective. Keep up the good work.
This is your best video to date. Well done, more of these please!
No need for corona virus protection when you are one of the only people who dare to challenge berm peak
Even though I am a mountain biker I wouldn’t do half the features on berm peak
I've enjoyed so much this video, and i'm so happy you're uploading videos again
I love how your videos always end on a positive spin.
Came from Seth's channel ÷/
Seth when he sees me betray him 12:00
2 things about mtb’ers... 1- they toss their bodies around like crash test dummies 2- they care about their trails as if it were 1000 year old bonsais
Your tabletop crashing scene and Seth's 360 crashing scene are some of the best things I've seen on youtube.
love progression videos. thanks for making this one. hope you get that first trick this year!
Man I love your positive attitude! Keep up the great work!
Great video! Never stop sharing your fails, dude. When you only see someone's successes or best moments, like is often the case on social media, it takes away some of the most interesting human factor. Seeing people fail, especially those we look up to in terms of skill, reminds us we're all human and we don't have to feel bad when we don't succeed at something as fast as we'd like to.
what a great video dude , love the whole learning experience and most of all the humble perspective you have even showing the best bit your most powerful teacher failure
Love ur vids, so entertaining and calming at the same time.
Looks like plenty of success to me. Great job👏👏👏
Good effort! We all fail and we all get in our heads and it stings our emotions every time. I respect what you did bro. Keep it up. Love the videos.
Definitely glad you made and posted the video!
Bra the quality of your videos has improved so much! Every one of your later videos is such an inspiration. Keep up the good work 👍
Really great video Alex, I'm glad you still made this video, it definitely helps to see that even the good mountain bikers I watch crash and hurt their ego too. Also I love your videos, they are looking so good.
Dude, thank you so much for making this video. It is a killer video on its own but the message is what makes it truly over the moon. It’s incredible to see such an amazing mountain biker as yourself still get scared and still take some nasty falls. It’s so important for all the new folks out there to see!!!! HUGE THANK YOU.
Worth the wait! Great video and story telling!
Congrats for finally sending it... Never doubt yourself you've taken many bold steps in the past that we as viewers have seen and enjoyed.. 👍
Gripping physical and psychological adventure, beautifully crafted.
Grateful you did share it!
at one point you had me saying out loud "you can do it !!", at the end there, all i can say is i feel you, im the same, and im trying to learn that your ambition needs to respect how tired your body is, just cuz you know you can do it, doesnt mean your body can, so you have to watch for the moment when fatigue really sets in, then just keep it safe, rest up.
I definitely appreciate that you still shared your experience even though it did not turn out how you expected
You did great dude, don't be disappointed. Landed some great jumps, learnt what not to do. Hats off to your sir!
I just got my bike for Christmas and am already ready to jump into this world. Everyone riding seems so chill and nice. The vibe is right on my wave.
Best sampler video ever! Great work man!!
You've got an excellent way of presenting your story and making a great video about it, love these! Inspires me to do better on my bike and not get discouraged.
I love it whenever you load into the deer tractor, it slowly sinks down. And when you unload it for the jump, it rises up again. It’s so funny!
Great progression bro! The only way is forward. Great video as always.
