Industrial Society and Its Future by Theodore John Kaczynski Introduction 1. The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. They have greatly increased the life-expectancy of those of us who live in “advanced” countries, but they have destabilized society, have made life unfulfilling, have subjected human beings to indignities, have led to widespread psychological suffering (in the Third World to physical suffering as well) and have inflicted severe damage on the natural world. The continued development of technology will worsen the situation. It will certainly subject human beings to greater indignities and inflict greater damage on the natural world, it will probably lead to greater social disruption and psychological suffering, and it may lead to increased physical suffering even in “advanced” countries...

You're back with another awesome video! You definitely deserve more recognition! I felt so bad when the first camper fell and then the campsite closed. Glad you could finish! 💞

Tip: take off and cushion the tv when traveling if you go on bumpy roads. This applies to normal campers too. I’ve broken 2 tvs on one road that was just slightly unpaved.
0:28 the flying tent was a nice touch! In the future might be smart to bring a pump on a 50 mile trek! Could also put a spare wheel on the back if you plan to keep using it!
Suggestion for an upgrade which I did to mine - solid tyres on wheelchair wheels, and hitch via the rear wheel axle on the bike rather than the rack position - this will stop it tilting the bike when cornering. I ended up building a monowheel trailer to fit on my motorbike instead though.
Thank you for sharing this video, it was a real eye opener- i learned a lot and took notes! I am building a bike camper currently- so far only the subframe is complete. When complete, it will have more of a traditional "airstream" look. My day job is in commercial signage, so i have all the free (used) aluminum tubing and sheet i could want at my disposal. Trailer will have solid (not pneumatic) tires and hydraulic brakes. Tow vehicle is a Tern GSD ebike. Floor material will be a sandwich of fiberglassed polypropylene honeycomb and rigid foam. Should tow okay (if I stick to my weight budget) as i occasionally pull a Bikes At Work trailer loaded with 300 pounds.
The gate didn’t seem like too much of an obstacle to begin with lol. I thought it would have been much bigger. Idk seems staged at the end.. but good shit. You guys always work so hard.

If you ever do this again I'd recommend taking some inspiration from drew builds stuff. Both of you have really amazing builds that I'd honestly love to also try to make. Might sound weird that I'd want to make my own, but I feel like I'd love it all the more if I made it exactly perfect just for me.

The mindset behind why you made it is definitely a lot more positive though.
Only issue with that is that airless tyres are quite expensive as they're not widely and mass produced yet. Instead, it would be a good idea to use stronger alloy or carbon mountain bike wheels with actual all terrain tyres. The wheels should also be mounted to the camper with much tighter force.
@@matthewtants6025 not really that expensive, but a big pain in the a-s to replace, also this build is like very limited and basic, almost to the point of being unsafe... he could have install a lot of auxillary stuff which wouldn't affect the weight that much, but instead they rushed it for the views.

You could cycle that distance in 2 hours. And which electric bicycle has enough power to cycle for 6 hours? I mean, I think it's kind of fake. But who am I to say that.
Good lord the amount of design mistakes with this one. Here are a few improvements I would suggest: - If you really wanted amenities, use something portable like a small projector and a fan, not a bloody flatscreen tv and airconditioner - Don't compromise the tyres in favour of the aesthetic. The mobility of the camper is much more important than trying to hide the wheels or placing them right up against the camper walls to make it 'less ugly' - You have to imagine pulling one of these with a regular geared bike, not a motorised vehicle, which is why you should have gone light to begin with. What would have happened if your e-bike ran out of power? - The foam sheets were a good idea, but I would have gone with aluminium and tarp. Much lighter, inherently waterproof, and if you build it right, modular enough to unpack and convert into a larger sized tent
Cool idea! Curious if bicycle helmets are required in your jurisdiction. Might be worth noting in the description how important helmets are whenever sharing the road with vehicles.
Long time ago I made a bike camper out of a pair of trikes, one was a more modern E Bike conversion, while the “camper” was made from my grandparents old 70s-80s era trikes In trailer mode it connected to the e bike with a Y yoke that hooked up to a large eye bolt i have welded to the ebike and to the front wheel yoke of the trailer. The handlebar of the trailer was turned 90 degree and half cur away, with the front handle acting as a goose neck for brake cables to the trailer wheels (really helpful on those down slopes) The seat of the trailer had been cut away so that the cargo area could be slid forward during travel When deployed as a camper the cargo area is slid back and fold down legs provide stability. For added stability it can also bolt onto the back area of the E Bike by removing its basket. The “camper itself is simply a assembled floor and an A-frame in which US Army shelter halves bolt onto BUT its what I’ve always been most comfortable with and i long learned to modify it with extra layers of shelter halves, rain proof tarp, bug netting , even movers blankets , and while I dont have a air conditioner the ridge pole can be threaded into a a length of dryer hose that is perforated and end in a small but very efficient battery powered ventilation fan. ALL of which can run off of the extra batteries that the trailer bike carries to greatly extend the range of the E bike
Pls pin me bc you are the best UA-camr EVER

- You have to imagine pulling one of these with a regular geared bike, not a motorised vehicle, which is why you should have gone light to begin with. What would have happened if your e-bike ran out of power?
- The foam sheets were a good idea, but I would have gone with aluminium and tarp. Much lighter, inherently waterproof, and if you build it right, modular enough to unpack and convert into a larger sized tent
Nice you haven’t uploaded in a while!
0:13 Tent flying around in the background 🤣
Does this build work with a normal bike? If so how would I try to build something similar to this? I like this idea
yeah its just gonna be all you pulling with no electric motor
At the end when they see eachother you could tell how much they missed eachother
Cant waste time but had plenty of time to do shots like 7:11
Got to hand it to you, you stuck it out. Kudos to you buddy! Thats how epic things are done: against the odds!
Cool idea! Curious if bicycle helmets are required in your jurisdiction. Might be worth noting in the description how important helmets are whenever sharing the road with vehicles.
Long time ago I made a bike camper out of a pair of trikes, one was a more modern E Bike conversion, while the “camper” was made from my grandparents old 70s-80s era trikes
In trailer mode it connected to the e bike with a Y yoke that hooked up to a large eye bolt i have welded to the ebike and to the front wheel yoke of the trailer. The handlebar of the trailer was turned 90 degree and half cur away, with the front handle acting as a goose neck for brake cables to the trailer wheels (really helpful on those down slopes)
The seat of the trailer had been cut away so that the cargo area could be slid forward during travel
When deployed as a camper the cargo area is slid back and fold down legs provide stability.
Did you stage the camper falling in the creek because....
At the end when I saw yall cracking up Well I did too😂Lololol I'm so glad he made it yay🎉
