I personally stumbled upon her by accident. My battle with her was even more memorable as I came into that game after having beaten platinum a month before, I did what anyone who could did and sent over all my pokemon after beating the game, so my pokemon remain a culmination of my journey across all generations I played, and continue to do so, this created a problem though, I run into her and my first reaction is "Oh no, oh god no" only for her to say my eyes are familiar, making me realize that platinum did indeed happen, I fought her and realized immediately my time paradox causing mistake, I had Giratina Origin form in my party, which I was forced to use. After the battle she said I reminded her of the trainer who faced Giratina, and that line had far more impact for me personally, because I just used the same Giratina that trainer faced against her, because it was me. That was my favorite moment in all of pokemon, and it really made me realize that as the player, you really are an anomaly, having a journey across every region with experience and friends made across many generations.
I remember meeting her thinking, "Oh cool the previous champion." Then remembering, "Oh no, it's the previous champion" once the theme kicked up. Thankfully, I had a few 80s on my team then before facing her, so it was a fairly closer battle than all my previous matches.

I didn't remember her so to me she wasn't scary when I met her and obviously got destroyed by her in the first battle since she was much higher level and I wasn't even familiar with her team. I like to think of her as being so disappointed with never challenging her so she hopped onto the next gen just to beat me in Pokemon.
I loved this! I just love the fact that they brought Caitlin back too and the Villa you find Cythia in is Caitlin's! My first reaction when seeing Caitlin reappear for the elite 4 was a huge smile of excitement since she was one of my fav Frontier Brains(even tho you didn't actually fight her in the Battle Frontier)
I like how Caitlin mentions before you fight her as an Elite 4 member that she used to be more temperamental, before learning how to control her impulses and her psychic powers.
She's one of my fave Elite Four members besides Shauna and Grimsley, mostly because we share the same name. Except I have an "YN," instead of an "I N."
In pokemon conquest its good because of the amount of dragons in the game, nobunaga for example only use dragons, so if you want to to have some advantage against his zekrom or shiny rayquaza(yep, the guy owns 2 legendaries) glaceon is a good pokemon.

Honestly, yeah it is just really satisfying to see people from older games and it's just really nice to see Pokémon look into this therefore putting more emphasis on lore and overall detail.
Cynthia is the most terrifying pokemon trainer if not most powerful champion ever. When i first play pokemon black and white 2 I saw her. I HAD A HEART ATTACK LOL
I'm pretty sure that was literally the first thing I did when I went into Undella town. Turned, walked in there, and got my half dead team cleaned up. Cynthia's used to cleaning up she did a great job. I went back after and did better, but yea, don't mess with the true champ.
Bruh i still remember Coil sweeping with my Serperior after sacrificing 3 mons just to heal it up and use a couple leppa berries. Shit caught me so off guard lmao.
I forgot she had level 75's, and came over to her hot off the heels of my beating the main game. I made a terrible mistake. I actually did manage to defeat spiritomb, but then failed miserably to do anything else.
Pokemon White for me was actually where I started in the series. So I remember when I went into this house out of curiosity as a kid, I of course didn’t know who was in there, like many others. But even after seeing her, I did not recognize her. She even kept it a bit of a mystery, never once actually bringing up where she’s from or the fact that she’s a champion. So she challenged me to a pokemon battle, and I didn’t find it too odd. I was a little surprised, but didn’t really find it too out of place for this game. When the music started playing, I did notice it was different, and that’s what started telling me: this trainer is different. But okay, cool. This random pretty NPC has some music of her own. I’ve already taken down Team Plasma, beat N after he toppled the pokemon league. Surely, with Zekrom on my team, I could take her, right? I notice her pokemon are at such a high level, as mentioned here in the video. I realize I’m at a considerable disadvantage, but being the kid I was, I didn’t care, and again, was only a little surprised. Two minutes later I’m back at the pokemon center with the world’s biggest surprised pikachu face wondering what the heck just happened. AND THEN I TRIED AGAIN RIGHT AWAY I don’t know how I beat her many tries after that, but she was downright scary. I’d not felt quite so nervous throughout the entire main story of the game as when I kept walking up to her to try again and again. When I played W2, I knew one thing for certain: avoid that house until you’re at least at her level like your life depends on it, because worse, your pokemon’s lives depend on it. Good times, good times…
Dude, your accent is sooo nice. You speak so clearly it is very easy to understand for people who are not native speakers. I didn't even notice it was in english most of the video.
White Vers. Was my introduction to the Pokémon games, I did watch the anime when I could But that wasn't often, so I had no idea who Cynthia was. I just saw a sprite that was different from the rest and talked to her only to get my team absolutely stomped.
Back on BW, I have a Zekrom on my team and I entered the house.... ....and then Cynthia proceeds to paint the whole house red my my and my Pokemon's blood.
I think when Cynthia was talking about seeing the Trainer's eyes before, I feel like it was a metaphorical nod to the player. Like we know who Cynthia is and what she's capable of. We've battled Cynthia before. We as the player, is only but, the trainer spirit that controls the character we use in which Cynthia seems to be familiar with. She's familiar with "us" as the spirit who faced her as Lucas/Dawn. She was able to feel that same presence of true potential coming from us even though we aren't Lucas/Dawn but Hilbert/Hilda, two whole separate people from two whole different regions. The eyes she's rally talking about are the eyes that are peering into the DS, our own eyes. The eyes behind the avatar player.
I love how most people had trouble with Cynthia, but I was usually able to beat her pretty easily since her Spiritomb would spam double team, so I would have serperior spam coil. So the leads blades hit like a truck, did neutral damage to garchomp and serperior was faster than everyone

I like to think of her as being so disappointed with never challenging her so she hopped onto the next gen just to beat me in Pokemon.
Same. I didn't know what kind of danger I was really in until she personally taught me the fear I should be feeling.
I can imagine Garchomp on the beach just like "Aw hell yeah" and diving headfirst into the sand to swim around.
Actually, not all protagonists have gray eyes. Hilda’s eyes are blue, not grey. And Hilbert has brown eyes. Not trying to nerd out on you, though 😂
Damn didn’t expect my comment to get so much likes in 3 days..
Also let's not forget the fact that Rosa has the most unnaturally blue eyes anyone's ever seen
I was thinking about this. Red, Yellow, Gold and Crystal don't have grey eyes too, right?
I was thinking the same exact thing. He legit showed Hilda when he was saying every character had gray eyes, who has extremely blue eyes
@@NinjaPickle exactly, probably just a mistake but they’re clearly blue.. and Rosa’s as well 💀
still to this day i refuse to enter any random house out of fear of cynthia being in there ready to jump me
I loved this!
"All of them have gray eyes"
Proceeds to show blue eyes
At 1:07, the split pop up says "Tomboy propaganda? Nope. Not here." With a picture of Hilda.
Yeah saw it too
Yeah I just paused it on the right spot then I read your comment lol
NPC: nekid Cynthia behind you!!
Me: where??
NPC: she went to that house!!
Wow-wow-wow Cynthia chill!!
I actually never battled her in gen 5, but it is such a nice surprise!! :D
I had to out level her and morimoto, now I'd just build a anti team against her.
You can battle her after Elite 4
Oh thank god you didn't
*Player enters the house*
Cynthia : YOU PICK THE WRONG HOUSE FOOL!!
Glaceon doesn't need to be good in battle to be the best eeveelution.
In pokemon conquest its good because of the amount of dragons in the game, nobunaga for example only use dragons, so if you want to to have some advantage against his zekrom or shiny rayquaza(yep, the guy owns 2 legendaries) glaceon is a good pokemon.
In terms of breeding...
@@seawind930 thats vaporeon :)
But I actually think glaceon is WAYYY cuter and more... compatible 😏

Opens the door to Cynthias theme: Ok ok, it's just a 6v6 relax we got this.
Opens a door to Volo's theme: HOW THE FUCK DO YOU HAVE 8 POKEMON! THAT'S IT I'M OUT! THE DOOR IS LOCKED! SHIT SHIT SHIT!
0:04 "Get in"
Me: No, ladies first
"YOU PICKED THE WRONG HOUSE FOO!!!!"
Don't say you like the anime: *Cynthia in Undella Town*
If you've never read the manga: *Demi-Fiend in Digital Devil Saga*
Yeah, who could ever forget the only enemy to transcend the 999 damage limit and approach 9999 damage like it’s Final Fantasy.
ok, by damage i meant HP
She should’ve used the Big Smoke quote: “You picked the wrong house fool!” 🤣
Cynthia and her garchomp: You picked the wrong house, fool!
Honestly, yeah it is just really satisfying to see people from older games and it's just really nice to see Pokémon look into this therefore putting more emphasis on lore and overall detail.
Man I love the beginning lmao
Cynthia is the most terrifying pokemon trainer if not most powerful champion ever. When i first play pokemon black and white 2 I saw her. I HAD A HEART ATTACK LOL
I just said "Fuck" and loaded my last save
When you play a randomizer and the first house you enter triggers the battle: hehe im in danger
When I did this hwen I was 7, I actually screamed: OH SHIT IM GONNA DIE
When I first walked into that house and saw Cynthia, I immediately shut off my DS and walked away
I'm pretty sure that was literally the first thing I did when I went into Undella town. Turned, walked in there, and got my half dead team cleaned up. Cynthia's used to cleaning up she did a great job. I went back after and did better, but yea, don't mess with the true champ.
Pov: your nuzlock is about to end
1:04 'all the game protagonists have grey eyes'
Lyra: am I a joke to you?
Yeah the grey eyes thing is total bs he even had to use mays oras design because the original games had like a navy blue as her eye colour
This encounter scared the shit out of everyone who played through sinnoh.
Bruh i still remember Coil sweeping with my Serperior after sacrificing 3 mons just to heal it up and use a couple leppa berries. Shit caught me so off guard lmao.
Cynthia be like : you picked the wrong house fool
AND THEN I TRIED AGAIN RIGHT AWAY
I don’t know how I beat her many tries after that, but she was downright scary.
Me: *opens the door*
*sees Cynthia*
Also Me: Ohhhhhhh…shhhhhhhhhhit
Gator: "I like what she says when you first meet her..."
Cynthia when you first meet her: *notices ur uncanny resemblance* "owo, what's this?"
I still remember waking into this house for the first time and tbh I’ve never panicked that hard before in a game
Dude, your accent is sooo nice. You speak so clearly it is very easy to understand for people who are not native speakers. I didn't even notice it was in english most of the video.
The absolute dread on eleven year old Smugglefish when he entered that house...
"You picked the wrong house, fool!"
-Cynthia, probably
Cynthia: *breaks out the swimsuit*
The entire cosmos: *screaming Japanese man meme*
0:03 The pianos begin playing. My ADHD after dealing with Cynthia in Pokémon diamond pearl and platinum, oh shit here we go again but worse.
White Vers. Was my introduction to the Pokémon games, I did watch the anime when I could But that wasn't often, so I had no idea who Cynthia was. I just saw a sprite that was different from the rest and talked to her only to get my team absolutely stomped.
I learned to save my game just before entering any random house
I was tryna reject her battle request but I pressed Yes on accident because my hands were shaking so much
Back on BW, I have a Zekrom on my team and I entered the house....
....and then Cynthia proceeds to paint the whole house red my my and my Pokemon's blood.
Oh my god they really do all have similar eye colors with the exception of SwSh, BW, and Calem
