Do not pressure wash your DPF and DOC. Take it to a shop and have it baked and serviced. Great video to save on labor of removing and reinstalling but pressure washing is not a good idea.
I have a 2014 t660. The 2019 is a much better design in the fact, the the filters are farther forward giving much better access. AND not having the filters right next to the fuel tank. It's bad enough having a Regen occurring with a live body in the truck let alone a regen happening with such high temperatures. The engineers certainly didn't care about the well being of the drivers when having a mini nuclear reaction on board.
That sucks for real. My truck has a battery box between fuel tank and DPF system thank God. Switched out the lead acid to Non Serviceable AGM for more assurance but thank you for watching and your input.
I like my flip flops. The best driving accessory ever made. Keep fresh air on my feet so I don’t get stinking feet or athletes foot so I don’t see what the problem is 🙄
The washing of the DPF to get rid of the ash works although most will say it doesn’t. Bigger companies started doing it so I would say give it a shot. Get the gaskets to replace the old ones cuz they are going to be thrash removing them. Good luck 🫡
That’s what I’m aiming to do next time around, bake then wash but so far it’s doing quite good. I appreciate your input, hoping others will learn and save some money 👍👍👍👍
Honestly mine doesn’t give that much problem. Only had to replace the temperature sensor and clean it one time. I still think it’s bullshit thou. Appreciate you checking out the channel. Just Keep Trucking!!!
Baking is good for soot but washing or high pressure air is good for ash in the DPF. DOC gets hot and turn soot to ash, ash is then collected in the DPF and that’s what builds up. I would say both of them is beneficial but I still appreciate you stopping by on the channel and also your input. 👍

I live in Virginia and most times I have to drive to South Carolina, North Carolina or as far as Florida for better prices. Hope you understand.
You didn't have to bake it??
@@alextauati7383 Availability at the time. My local dealerships always backed up at least 2 weeks so I just pressure wash it. I just of recent found a place that can bake it for way cheaper than what the dealer was asking too. In all honesty I haven’t had a problem up to this time with it but next cleaning I MAY bake it depending on how I feel 😅

Ok, I’m deleted so it’s been a few years I’ve personally tackled any DPF issues. Why wash it? Why not finding someone to bake it? Was told baking one was around $300
The washing helped a little but there’s more underlying issues 😩. I Appreciate Your Input 👍
Baking only removes soot not ash load only washing removes it he is right
@@dentrizzle what was the underlying issue? Was the cleaning worth it, Please answer me when you get a chance, thanks Bro
@@user-sb8ip2ef3t it’s was the inlet temperature sensor at the DOC and also turbo actuator. After replacing both I got to do parked regens again.
@@user-sb8ip2ef3t The cleaning really helped cuz you will see the physical ash being washed out. It’s a brownish pinkish substance. That same week I went from 6-7 mpg and saw at much as 8.5 mpg @70k on the same route. Unfortunately it went down back to 6-7 mpg 2nd week cuz it still wasn’t doing regens. 👍
How well did ur dpf filter worked after cleaning ?
Haven’t touched it again since. Been good and never ever saw that code again. I would say it was a total success cuz I track my soot levels and it don’t do an active regen “when you drive” up to 5 days which is good.
Also note when it wanted cleaning it would puff a lot of black smoke during start ups and it would idle ruff as if it wasn’t breathing. All that went away and as I said haven’t had no issue since I did the cleaning.
You will pay anywhere between $700-$3000 for a new DPF. Professional cleaning, between $175-$300.
Look… the dealership quoted me $7,500
@@zyereri Were they replacing you DPF and DOC, or is that a quote for cleaning and reinstallation? I did mine a year ago at a KW dealership. It cost me $2100 for a NEW DPF, and getting the DOC cleaned, reinstalled, with new clamps and gaskets. $7500 sounds like they were replacing both parts.
@Zyereri Some DOC's, are $2000-$3000, alone.
Delete also runs about 3k
If it gives me 1 major issue again it’s gone 💨

Thank you 👍
great video, but the music needs to go, or be quieter so you can be heard.

Hey buddy, nice videos. May I ask, did you have to change any gaskets in between the filters?
Yes I changed two ‘2’. I recommend get them before you start the tear down. The part number is at the end of the video. Some people claim it don’t work by washing but it worked for me 😬😁. I appreciate you watching and hope it helped. 👍
@@dentrizzle yea it helped a lot. I want to find the chemicals that they put in there, in Greece that am from, you can buy those chemicals as well, I want to find the names or ingredients of the product. And then probably need to find a demo on how to not burn your self 😂
Thanks.

I gotta say, after watching all the work… maybe $3G’s ain’t so bad 😅😅
Dwl I don’t even m ow what they charge
Do not pressure wash your DPF and DOC. Take it to a shop and have it baked and serviced. Great video to save on labor of removing and reinstalling but pressure washing is not a good idea.
Ok got it 👍
Why not?
👏👏👏
I have a 2014 t660. The 2019 is a much better design in the fact, the the filters are farther forward giving much better access. AND not having the filters right next to the fuel tank. It's bad enough having a Regen occurring with a live body in the truck let alone a regen happening with such high temperatures. The engineers certainly didn't care about the well being of the drivers when having a mini nuclear reaction on board.
That sucks for real. My truck has a battery box between fuel tank and DPF system thank God. Switched out the lead acid to Non Serviceable AGM for more assurance but thank you for watching and your input.
Don't forget you're flip-flops
I like my flip flops. The best driving accessory ever made. Keep fresh air on my feet so I don’t get stinking feet or athletes foot so I don’t see what the problem is 🙄
My lazy raas already took mine to kw…. Over $3000 later here i am…. Never again…
The washing of the DPF to get rid of the ash works although most will say it doesn’t. Bigger companies started doing it so I would say give it a shot. Get the gaskets to replace the old ones cuz they are going to be thrash removing them. Good luck 🫡
With a crowbar, this dpf nonsense is definitely solved!
Facts but I’m afraid to do it 😂
Need to bake em for 24 hrs then power wash em. Or better yet get it deleted
That’s what I’m aiming to do next time around, bake then wash but so far it’s doing quite good. I appreciate your input, hoping others will learn and save some money 👍👍👍👍
Please are you on tiktok
I was but haven’t posted in almost a year or so. @Dentrizzle & @Trizzle Go-Getta
worst shit they could've done to trucks was put this on them
Honestly mine doesn’t give that much problem. Only had to replace the temperature sensor and clean it one time. I believe if you don’t idle your truck too much and do periodic forced regen you will be golden. Had the truck 310k and now it’s at 720k and seems to be needing a cleaning again. I still think it’s bullshit thou. Appreciate you checking out the channel. Just Keep Trucking!!!
please no music
Imma try. I appreciate you 👍
Just remove it !
Dang wish I could 😊
Stupid loud music
I apologize. Was my early days of making videos. Didnt know better.
Baking is better but very informative! TY!
Baking is good for soot but washing or high pressure air is good for ash in the DPF. DOC gets hot and turn soot to ash, ash is then collected in the DPF and that’s what builds up. I would say both of them is beneficial but I still appreciate you stopping by on the channel and also your input. 👍
Im sure he found out all the work he did was for nothing.
How do you know that???
@@dentrizzle Theres another video from a mechanic shop much more recent than this video that talks power washing the filter and how they tested it on a machinenfor those things and after the power wash the readings for filtering were still the same as well as several videos explain you cannot piwer wash those filters need to be heat baked to remove the dirt. Ive also talked with a kenworth dealer and they offer free heat baking if you bring in the filter to clean it. Remember when your truck is cleaning it the temperature goes over 1000 degrees . Look it up. Sorry but thats what all the experts are explainjng.
@@soflodougHave you personally ever tried it??? Not saying baking won’t clean it but if the trucks goes over 1000 degrees why it stills needs another 1000 degrees to clean the DPF??? If it’s only high heat that can clean it, why you still have to take it off??? There’s more than 1 way to do things and in my option I have nothing against dealership but they want to charge an arm and a leg for labor to disassemble the system and eventually charge you for new components. I personally pressure washed mine and up to this day from making that video I’ve never had a DPF issue. Sometimes before you ASSUME you cannot pressure wash the filter, you ought to try it and see the actually ash coming out.
@@soflodoug So the expert is always right 🤦🤦🤦🤦
@@dentrizzle Dont delete my comment coward. You have no idea what youre talking about.
Looks like this driver does not have a life a wife kids 😢😢😢
😂😂😂😂
I’m curious, why you say that? 🤔
Him just jealous 😂
Thats the right way to do clean the system but only spray the way it comes in the dirty side down hey yall can remap the ecm - computer to delete that and never worry no check engine light or codes either
If you remap the ecm without removing dpf your dpf will get clogged and can cause issues.
