Definitely agree the paranormal series is way under appreciated. Always thought they had some cool creations but this years models are all very well done. It would be a hard decision to choose between them. Maybe not so under appreciated - but I also really like the parallel universe series from fender, other than the prices. I think they are some of the cooler new models they make, way more interesting then anything else from the 'modern' collection
Absolutely agree, it almost makes me a bit sad that there must be people at fender trying to do cool new stuff, but 90% percent of fender players just want a Strat/Tele.
Hello, I would say I have experience with Fender Toronados, since I got my first in 2011 (US made), and recently got a MIM "Deluxe" for a new project. I definetely like the hardware on these, it is a well balanced guitar that feels really nice. Now, I don't know about the Squier's version but I don't think the plans changed that much. :) One thing I can notice though, is about the Atomic pickups, that I had on my both Toronado's. I never really found a way to make them work outside of edge of breakup (i.e. on an AC15/30). To be fair, I found them not that expressive in cleans, and too muddy when adding distorsion. That is a bit disappointing, because this guitar looks cool in a very diverse range of styles, especially rock, and I would have loved her to perform "equally-ish" from pure cleans to blues, or from blues to distorsion. I know you can't get everything, but what these pickups got me was a bit too restricted of a margin. This can easily be solved though, by changing pickups (mine are SH4 and SH2). SInce that, I have clarity and impact. Anyways, this guitar will get you a very comfortable playing, and looks from people, which is what you need on stage. :) Thank you for the review by the way. Cheers!
Mine had tinny microphonic pickups that were super annoying. Changed them out and it sounds so much better. And think the problem was they weren’t wax potted? They picked up voices and sounds so easily which imo wasn’t good.
I gotta admit I'd be tempted to just keep the weird pickups for recording special effects type weirdness, it sounds kinda cool! Maybe not so good for playing guitar though haha
Really like Toronado's little bro the Supersonic, same Atomics. Squier is addicted to poplar tho, either would be fantastic in alder. Personally I'm deeply ambivalent about stripped down Jags that drank too much Gibson... But you should keep it!
They usually weigh about 7.5 lbs, give or take. Nice 'goldilocks' weight range, and they balance well if you play standing because of the projection of the upper horn. Helps keep that long headstock from neck-diving on you.
I’m hoping to pick one of these up in a day or two. Killer demo, that crunchy tone at the end is so nice.

@@richardclarkmoore Well, Strat and Tele are the shape and sound of the classic rock and beyond.
@@saby5075don’t forget about Les Paul now!
2:38 about the bridge: is a old style from 60's (danelectro and Silverstone)
@@brunorabelo4 thanks for sharing!Since making this video I have seen similar ones on some music man basses as well

Oh yeah, they look cool too, I’d love to take one for a spin eh!
How's the weight? Been wanting to try one out
I'd say a little heavier than medium, but it's not on like Les Paul levels of rip your shoulder off.

Once again us lefties are out of luck.We need the Leftorium and Ned Flanders to make these. Until then it's just a pretty piece of firewood to me!
I truly feel bad for y’all man, i couldn’t believe it when I realised that lefty guitars are almost always more expensive, if you can even get them 😣
