Probably should have, but how it sounds under distortion is still a useful test! Also it’s not like we can tell exactly how a guitar is going to sound from UA-cam, more of an educated guess at best, which is why I don’t stress too much about tones when making these videos 🤷♂️
@@timhern3841 That's cool, I'll do it anyway :P thanks for helping make this video reach more people though! The algorithm sure does love lots of comments
its a cool set up! , i notice there is a double pup for the bridge here. i have a hotrail on my strat and i was thinking maybe adding another bright pup beside it. could this work ?
the graphite nut is such a wasted feature considering this is a hardtail version. yeah, I know that in production they probably just have the necks for this series in a heap and just attach it to whatever body
@@richardclarkmoore My point is that a graphite/graphtech style nut is really only useful when using a tremolo (and even then it is not NECESSARY). With a stop tail it does not provide any better or worse tuning stability compared to a plastic nut.
@riffsnoleads you may be right, but if it’s one less thing to worry about, I still think it’s good! Upgraded components that make you feel better about the guitar are worthwhile 😌
So you’re telling me, you have watched the video about a weird, mid-priced Strat, and now you’re here commenting to say you just want a normal, cheaper Strat? Fair enough hahaha 😂
How about a demo with a clean sound, so we can actually HEAR the tonal differences......

@@richardclarkmoore yeah, why have good tones when you're doing a demo.....
@timhern3841 next time at least one clean tone, just for you 😉
@@richardclarkmoore don't bother. I won't be watching any more of your videos.

You really need to reevaluate your gain structure, between that and UA-cam’s compression, all I’m hearing is a sonic mess.
I reckon more gain next time eh 👌
Didn't Robbie Robertson do something like this decades ago?
I’m just now learning that yes he did!

Try it! If you don’t like it you can always change it back!
Your tone is too distorted to tell what the guitar sounds like
Probably is, that’s the beauty of making a video in a hurry. Sure is getting me some comments though 😉
Replace the top pickup with a hot rail and the bottom with a P90 and you're set, looks cool either way though.

Wasted feature or nice attention to detail? It’s just one less thing to upgrade for someone who really likes the guitar I reckon

I'm sure someone makes a copy of that pickguard. Just get that, then load it up to taste then install it on the Strat body of your liking.
Axesrus make one, they call it the “Juan mod”. Originally done by Robbie Robertson
Good to know, that would be a fun mod to do!
I've wanted to get one and replace all the pickups with hot rails for a while now
That would be tight 👌
Unfortunately the two I tried at the store the pickups were messed up and the frets were brutal
And every one will call you Robbie Robertson
Yeah, what is it with the frets??? They're so chonky that it makes you fret the notes sharp if you apply any pressure to the strings
@Joe-ri7bi not used to jumbo frets maybe? They stick out pretty far and it gives you more chances to wear them down and get them dressed again
Play clean…distorted tells us nothing
I got it and put a set of HSS emgs on it. Amazing guitar
I bet it’s got some crazy chunky tone!
What happened to your ears? Good vid, tho.
I made em bigger! Haha cheers mate 👌
oh hell no...the Fender debut is basically the same thing minus the weird pickup thing...im changing those anyway...the debut is 119.00.

Looks like a great guitar! Lots of good Squires coming out, making Fenders look overpriced.
Yeah Man, this one’s a couple years old, but I do love the variety!
No one ignored it.
I dunno I think a few people ignored it haha
Yup I ignored it.. at $500.00+ I'm still going to Ignore it. Just too many better deals for similar guitars.
Fair enough, this one definitely isn’t for everyone!
