I agree the pump instructions are confusing. I will be making adjustments as well after this year and also putting something under some of the legs. Take care, Ben.

Hey Ben, Good video! It’s nice to see you doing something besides firewood! Every time I put out a non-firewood video, I lose a subscriber. I don’t get it. Anyway, good job and enjoy the pool!
God love ya. I would have thrown in the towel about half way through that project and called somebody. Nice work! So it said 60 minutes…how long did it actually take you?
Mike it was fun lol. Not counting the site prep just putting up the pool about 2 days. I was just cruising along taking my time with the pump waiting on the water to fill up. Thanks for watching take care, Ben.
My 12ft pool goes up in 20 mins now, but takes 24 hrs to fill. Took me 2 weeks to make the hard standing for the same reasons, no level ground plus had to carry (up 15 steps) 2 tonnes of materials
Karen I didn’t do much. I just added some pavers at the base of the ladder and kept the grass neatly cut. I closed it down last week thanks for watching.
hello. did you have to make a level base greater than 20', I read somewhere the pool footprint is actually larger than the dimension provided by manufacturer / thank you!
Travis the pool was great unfortunately no updates since we sold it. We no longer needed it because we bought a condo a few minutes from home that has a pool. I would buy the same pool and pump again though if I was in the market.
I didn’t see it in the instructions but I didn’t look that closely. I’ve had others tell me the same thing. I used the sand because I was lazy. The best solution would be to completely level the area by digging out the highest spots.
I learned real quick the ground tarp that comes with these things are garbage. I highly recommend anyone looking to install one of these things just go in and level your chosen location with sand or rock dust (preferred cuz it packs more tightly compared to sand) and then get some 1/2 or 3/4 inch 3ft x 6ft' horse stall mats. You can thank me later.
@@TheEnigmaticmuse Both actually or at the very least put some weed barrier material on the bottom then the mats then the tarp. But if you only have one tarp just put it on top of the mats.
Good to know. We are in the southeast and looking at getting this exact pool!!! Is it worth it and how long should it last? We had one when growing up but the sides were covered with aluminum.
How did you get the cover on? I got the same pool but can't get the cover on. Also some of my legs look sideways sort of. Any idea how to straighten those out?
Theresa I haven’t messed with the cover I was planning on putting that on in the fall. The legs should have been leveled before adding water. I have a few that look crooked also. I plan on draining mine this winter and leveling everything up better.
Do you recommend saving money and leveling the ground myself? Tried calling some landscaping places and they’re all so expensive to come out, dig and level the ground. Like around $1,000. Ridiculous.
That’s what I did but my slope wasn’t too bad. It was brought to my attention also not to use the sand underneath the pool either. Just level the ground and remove the turf and rocks. Thanks for watching.
Great video! I’m wanting to purchase this pool but the site prep and leveling scares me. Any advice on prepping the pool site so that the pool is level once water has been added?
I wouldn’t use the sand. I got lazy and added sand instead of taking the extra time and digging more dirt out. When I filled the pool the legs sunk into the sand from the weight.
What I tried to do was dig out the upper end as close as I could so it would be level. I then just used a little sand to smooth out. I would skip the sand if possible because the legs will sink in the sand when the pool is filled.
You could still use the sand but use it for the liner and your feet it’ll help smooth out the wrinkles which is critical to keep clean.. but use pavers for the legs. Dig down after leveling to add the pavers and thdn cover with weed block and tarp.
Good evening Sir, outstanding pool set up and I will probably put a empty plastic bucket over your 2x4 electrical connection for better water splatch protection or down poor rain on it 🧐🧐😉😉👌👌 Great looking pool Sir Cheers 🍻🍻😎😎

Holly someone else mentioned that I must have missed that part. The only problem I’ve had is the legs sunk in the sand on one side. I will probably redo next year and put some thin pavers under those legs. I’ve also found a couple rocks under the liner that I missed. Thanks for watching.
@@OGAOutdoors I read it on their website, under the FAQ section for the pool -- their reason was because the pool moves so wl the sand possibly causing collapse. We were all ready for a delivery of sand when I found it (thank goodness I was able to cancel it!) Yes. Pavers is what they recommend 😀 I watched someone in Maine use foam board insulation under his. We may try that. Thanks for the video and information. Enjoy!
Maybe 18 hours. It depends on how much water flow you have. You can fill up a five gallon bucket and see how long it takes. Then do the math and get a good idea how long it will take to fill the pool.
If you say so wish you would have told me that a couple months ago lol. I must have missed that part and I had the sand down anyway. The only issue with the sand is the legs sink in when filled.
