I just wanna say, thank you for making this video.. that is my father, Kevin Peebles, in the video and he passed away in 2020 from Cancer. When I’m missing him I watch this video and brings back lots of great memories of building pools with him. ❤😇

Hi Kaylie, Your father was a worker and craftsmen. He put those pools together like hotcakes 😊. It was sad to hear he passed and I’m sure he is watching over, he was a great man.

Putting down the leveling compound before setting up the wall is a great idea! And that cart for rolling out the wall is genius. You definitely know what you’re doing even in Fila work boots!

I used to install pools 5 days a week with one other guy. It only costs about $80 - $130 to rent a skid steer/ bobcat. It’s definitely worth renting as the pools pay a decent amount of money. These guys are good are what they do and that’s 100% how to do it. The only thing I have to say is I don’t like the foam cove/ corners that they use. Believe it or not it’s better to make a cover out of dirt and pack it down with a tamper and water.

Never backfill to the side of the pool otherwise when or if you let the water out you’ll be removing the offsetting weight to the soil back filled and the pool will be like a crushed soda can when the weight of the dirt rips through it.

We bought our sheet-metal pool from a friend. I believe we might be the third owners. It was a little bit rusty on the bottom but still went up just fine, I think these metal pools last a super long time. We have had no issues with ours whatsoever. I personally like how the cushion and the vinyl liner feel under your feet over a plaster pool. Much more pleasant. I couldn’t be happier with this type of pool, I plan on keeping it until I can’t maintain it myself anymore.

Good video for any do it yourself er out there. I have a question. I've learned that placing rocks that high around a steel pool will cause premature rusting. Not saying all situations as some good drainage areas don't really matter. Perhaps this is a good shed off area or that is rubber mulch that looks like rocks around the finished pool? I Install pools in Massachusetts and we do lot's of resin and aluminum construction. I'd also like to say the installers here did a great job installing the pool. cheers!

We just put our own pool in earlier this summer. Bought from The Pool Factory over the winter, then could not find a contractor willing to install it this spring. Couldn't even get a damned quote. & What a pain in the ass it was! SO. MANY. ROCKS. So many! 😔 😔
Anyway we put those patio blocks in under the posts just like you did here, per our installation instructions. Got the pool installed, filled, everything is great, mostly.
Then I saw a video of an install & the guy said he would NEVER put blocks under the posts because of "frost heave." Showed pictures of the concrete blocks pushed up & out of the ground & the resulting wrinkled, creased, mangled pool walls the next spring. So now we're paranoid. It's not much of an issue in most southern states but we live in Southeastern Pennsylvania, which can get pretty frigid in winter. Is it something we should worry about?

What size pool is that? It's hard to gauge sizes online - they always photo-hack them by shrinking the people to make the pools seem huge. LOL.

I'm doing this right now and I am at about the 2.5 minute mark I buried the bricks at ground level and they are level with each other there are just a few places where the channel between them isn't sitting on totally compacted dirt like maybe an 8th of an inch in some places where daylight comes through under them can I just pack some more loose dirt under them or should I go back and lower everything

The video was great. I wish there were written instructions overlaid on video at bottom of screen and tips to explain parts of the process that could make it easier for the DIY'er. I didn't always understand your thought process. I didn't mind the music....I turned down the sound since there was really nothing to listen to!

How many people can you swim comfortably in a 24’ pool like that. I just purchased a 30’ and was looking at a UA-cam video on that and the thing is huge so I’m going to go back to change the order for a 27’ round pool
