Lol "Today's technology"... Shitty shaky can, jittery high frame rate, green screens and CGI. Its not even film anymore, just animation at this point. Green screens and CGI are the autotune of filmmaking.
Saw this 1991 with friends, we were so "jaw dropped" during the movie, when it was over; we had so much to say, but we couldn't speak. Years later, we experienced the same exact feeling when we saw "The Matrix." T2 was pioneering, revolutionary.
James Cameron looks like a stylish actor more than a director, perhaps he should have acted too and his commitment towards movie making is always top notch and no wonder he has a wonderful team and crew .

its because everyone saw how Fantastic and Amazing Terminator 1 was , Arnold schwarzenegger was in the absolute prime of his career everyone wanted to put in their hardest and best effort into Terminator 2 , and also having this Pre James Cameron direct before he turned Vegan helps a ton
The chase scene when the T-1000 was chasing The Terminator in the semi truck towards the beginning of the movie was the most intense scene ever, even still till this day I enjoy watching that scene.
Filmmakers of today (and moving forward) will probably NEVER appreciate what lengths certain directors of the past went to in order to achieve exemplary, award-winning, TIMELESS results. 🐲✨🐲✨🐲✨
I can still remember going to see this at the local cannon cinema. Great memories from my middle school year's. I'm still standing, but unfortunately that cinema is no more.😪

I drove by a couple sets while they were shooting this movie while I was living in the High Desert. Acton Arco station. An old abandoned gas station in Little Rock is where they pulled the bullets out of his back. Gas station was demolished shortly after. Just south of that location is where they filmed the first movie scene where Sarah took that picture in the Jeep. I used to get gas there. It is now also remodeled.
Funny to see how everyone looks quite relaxed and enjoying the making of the movie as opposed to the finished product where almost every scene showed the intensity and desperation of trying to stay alive.
These are moments were cast and crew (Stand Winston Studio and Industrial Light & Magic) and are simply making (film) history. T2 was (and still is) a jaw-dropping and breath-taking Sci-Fi action film.
CGI Movies : once watched it's fun, twice it's normal, three times it's boring Non CGI Movies : once it's great, twice it's fun, three times or more it's so excited, especialy when we know how hard they make those movies
