I felt like I had been physically assaulted by the intensity of the movie. The guy sitting behind me just succinctly vocalized exactly what I was feeling. "That was intense." Up to then you would see people get up and leave as soon as a movie ended but here it seemed people were frozen in their seats, still processing what they had just seen or trying to recover from the experience. A couple of behind-the-scenes facts about this clip:
    1. In Terminator 2's director's commentary, James Cameron described how Arnold Schwarzenegger had to practice the shotgun twirling move so many times that the skin on his fingers kept tearing. And to make matters worse, he had to do the stunt without gloves. During one day of filming, Schwarzenegger accidentally picked up the wrong prop shotgun. As he went to spin it like normal, the smaller lever caught his fingers, and the weight of the gun falling back almost broke his hand. While it caused a great deal of pain, Schwarzenegger luckily did not sustain any long-term damage, which easily would've halted production. He eventually managed to get the perfect take, although who knows how long it took to perfect. Not only did Schwarzenegger have to perfect the twirl, but he also had to keep a straight face throughout the pain, all while riding a motorcycle.
    2. Since Edward Furlong, the actor who played John Connor, sat on the back of the bike, he was hit over and over by Schwarzenegger's gun twirl, almost knocking the young actor out.
