How inspirational! Even when outside interference literally turned it's entire world upside down, it still found the will in itself, to continue along it's merry way!
We could all take a lesson from "The Little Cutting That Did!" 💕💕
So true, Mandie! That’s why I just had to share it. Instead of keeping my error a secret for fear of being judged, I took the risk and showed how human we all can be. 😅 They showed a lesson that is so precious, I just had to share it with everyone. Thank you for your insight. It is greatly appreciated. ❤️☺️🌈 I’m sure everyone loved your comment.
I'm a new succulent owner so I learn so much from your helpful well instructed video. I'm trying water propagation for a cutting, place it in a bottle and waiting for it to grow roots.
Hi Sarah, how did it go? Thank you for the comment. My apologies for the late response. I’ve been so busy. 😅 Wishing you more blessings, love and good health! 🙏❤️💫
I love your videos and how you say “pups” lol
Lol Thank you so much! I really appreciate your funny comment. ❤️☺️🌈
I like that she calls them "guys". So cute!
Thanks so much to both of you! These succulents have their own personalities, too. Some are so busy, some are so giving, some don’t eat as much, some are so prolific! 😊 They’re so much fun and relaxing at the same time. Thanks again, Brady! I really appreciate all of your comments. Blessing to you as always! ❤️🙏🌈
they are actually called pups
What a great propagation video. I love how many roots you got with water propagation. I have to try that one day. Also upside down cutting was quite interesting. Thanks for sharing 👍😊.
That was a mistake that turned out really well! Hahaha I was so surprised how that little guy managed to find a way to correct itself. 😂😆 Thank you for commenting, Ruthie! I really appreciate it. ❤️🙏😁
@@SucculentFame you're welcome😊👍.
I agree succulents like your inverted cutting are uplifting reminders of how resilient life can be. I've accidentally dropped bare stem cuttings of echeveria on the hard ground only to be rewarded months later with plants growing and it's awe inspiring. Also I like your tip about not waiting for a cutting to callous over if you plant it in a dry mix so it won't rot.
So true! We all can learn some lessons from these succulents. They really have such great will to survive. 😃 Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this comment. I really appreciate it. ❤️🙏🌈
You are my absolute favorite succulent youtuber. You give SUCH good info and share so much that it's absolutely invaluable, but you completely trump all others with your positive message. If more people did something like that.. Man, could you imagine? Thank you for all you do! 💚🍀💚
This is such a sweet comment! Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! ❤️☺️🌈
Ty you gave me courage!
Wondering if you have made it to succulent fame yet? 🤩 i have just started my succulent journey and want to say thank you for such great videos. I have been binge watching because they are so motivational. Best wishes to you wherever you are now 5 years on!!🌵🏝
😆😂 Not quite, but I’m getting there. I’m working on my next video, after 4 to 5 years (I think) of hiatus. My apologies for the late response. Thank you for the comment. Wishing you more blessings, love and good health! 🙏❤️💫
Welcome back and good luck 🍀🌵🍀🌵🍀🌵🍀🌵🍀
Thank you so much! My apologies for the late response; I’ve been very busy. 😅
I plan to share what’s been keeping me so occupied. Please bear with me. I really appreciate your patience.
Sheila, thank you so much for your videos. I watch them, not just because of your amazing succy skills, but because of how motivating you are. With every video, you bring such kindness and insight people wouldn't think of while planting. God bless you and your channel further!
Hi, Heidi! What a kind comment. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. Wishing you love, blessings, health and happiness! ❤️🙏💫
How cute are you ❤️ This was such a excellent video, especially for a beginner! I especially loved how you showed your mistake and how the plant was so forgiving and it even gave you back More! And, thank you for your nice thought to wrap things up.
You’re welcome! I’m so grateful for comments like yours. Huge apologies for the late response. I’ve been incredibly busy. I’m really hoping to find time to make more videos soon. I’m looking to buy a new laptop ‘cause I’m not able to use my current one for editing. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I’m also sloooooowly trying to catch up on responding to comments. I’m about a month or so behind right now. 😔😅Thank you so much for leaving your kind message. I really appreciate it. Wishing you more blessings, love and good health! 🙏❤️💫
Great video that shows how resilliant succulents are. It's so amazing the ones I fixed over the years and how easy they are to propagate. I'm actually starting my second batch of babies now. The last one got so big already they are show cased in their own pot now. Great looking succulents you have! Happy planting!!
Hello Stacey, that’s great to hear! I’m so glad to hear that you are about to have more baby succies! 😊👶🏻 ❤️☺️🌈
I almost give up, suddenly heard your saying at the end of the video. Hayss very inspiring. Thank you so much keep on sharing your knowledge. You give a lot of help specially for the begginers :*
You're welcome, Rea! I'm so glad I'm able to help in my own little way. My apologies for the very late response. 😅I have been so busy. Thank you so much for the comment. I really appreciate it! Wishing you more blessings! ❤🙏🌠
@@SucculentFame o my gosh you replied :* ♥️. Thankyou again. Your subscriber from Philippines. 🇵🇭 🇵🇭..

Hello Abbey! That’s nice to hear! Thank you so much for the comment. I really appreciate it. Huge apologies for responding too late. Wishing you love, blessings, health and happiness! ❤️🙏💫
That was the most informative succulent propagation video I’ve seen and I’ve watched dozens. Thank you. ❤️
Thank you so much, Meg! My apologies for the late response. I hope those who are waiting for a response from me will see this message: Just recently, I made a decision to respond to newer comments first. I have been trying to reply to older comments first, hoping to catch up. But I haven’t been successful. So instead of trying to do that (‘cause now, I’m a full year behind) I’ll start responding from newest to oldest. Thank you so much for the comment. I really appreciate it. Wishing you more blessings, love and good health! 🙏❤️💫
Nice quality video & I love how the upside down succulent survived; it's magical! 👍 Not the meek, but plants shall inherit the Earth. ✨🌱✨
Magical indeed! 😊 Thank you so much for the comment. Wishing you more blessings, love and good health! 🙏❤️💫
In this video, I’m sharing something very peculiar. 😁These succulents are so resilient and they really find ways. You’ll be surprised how awesome these guys are. 😃You’ll develop an even deeper respect for these living beings after watching this video. 😃 Enjoy! ❤️
very interesting what the upside down plant did! do think this would be a viable way to get more rosettes in the future? or would you not recommend this?
Sarah Mcnutt Hi Sarah, I still wouldn’t recommend it, even if he produced the most pups. I still feel guilty that I messed him up. He propbably had a hard time figuring out what to do. 😅🤣😆
Thank you Sheila! your videos are so informative and inspirational! I live in zone 7B here in NYC and have just started my first succulent garden - but they are not doing so well as the weather has turned, so i started looking up videos and love yours!
Thank you, Chuubie! OMG! Frost and snow are not good news for succulents. Indoors and grow lights are your best bets to overwinter them. I have links to some very practical grow lights in some of my recent videos ‘cause I know winter is fast approaching. Best of luck! Thank you for leaving your comment. I really appreciate it. ❤️🙏🌈
You had a vedio I can't find. It's where you shared different ways to start the succulents in little bottles of water. You did many different test but the bottles works the best. Can you tell me what that vedio was?
That little succulent that you found in a shopping cart was very lucky that it was you who happened to find it!
Also, thanks for the tips! I wasn’t aware you could water propagate succulents. This morning I accidentally bumped off a beautiful stem off one of my succulents and was so bummed bc I don’t have any planting supplies at the moment, so I’m very glad I can save it through water propagation! I already propagate pothos plants so my new succulent now lives happily amoung my pothos cuttings! ✨🌱
That’s is so nice to hear! I’m glad you also found this information just in time. Thank you for the comment! My apologies for the late reply. 😅I have just started responding to the rest of the comments again. I’ve been so busy. These are wonderful videos. I I just found your site today and I just got my second box of. Succulents in the mail today. One of them got bumped around that I almost thought they forgot to plant something in one of the pots . I looked at it again and noticed some green plants sticking up out of the soil . I used a small brush to gently brush off the soil until I could see the whole little plant and I think that it may be a bunny ears succulent. I am going to pot up the other three succulents tomorrow . God bless you very much and again thank you for your wonderful videos.
Hi Sheryl! I’m so glad you found the little one that got buried in the soil. Bunny ears are the cutest. 😊 Thank you so much for the kind words. Huge apologies for the late response. Thank You
Thank you for the kind words, Lisa. I just feel like there is likely to be a soul out there who could also use some inspiration, aside from the regular info about succulents. When I first started trying to keep succulents I failed miserably. I was either watering too much or not enough. They grew well outside but when I brought them inside they would die. I am now learning slowly how to deal with this type of plant and hope not to kill so many anymore. Videos like this are a big help.
Hi Ellie, we just need to get the hang of it. Just keep trying and keep learning from your mistakes and soon you’ll be a pro! I’ve had my share of dead succulents, too. 😅 My apologies for the late response. I hope those who are waiting for a response from me will read this, too. Excellent informative video! I accidently forgot to let the stem from the crown of one of my succulents callous over before I planted it in to soil that was not dry. After seeing this video I took the stem out and it was starting to rot a tiny bit but cut the end of the stem off and not I will make sure it has calloused before I plant it!

@@SucculentFame Hi Sheila - I put some of the Elephant bush cuttings in water after being in soil and doing nothing, and they have rooted in two days! 😁 It's amazing! Thanks so much for your help! 😊🌱😊
Hi Trevor, these succulents are amazing, right? Water them too often in soil and they will rot, but place them in pure water when they won’t do anything and they will root faster. 🤣😆 I’m still trying to figure out the logic behind it. 🤓 Happy Planting! ❤️🙏🌈
Omg your videos make me want to grow succulents! Very nice video as always. Great work! 😁😁😁
Thank you, Tom! They are really so rewarding to take care of. 😁 As always, I really appreciate your comment. ❤️🙏🌈
Love this thank you inspired from Chicago during our quarantine ♥️
Hi! That’s nice to hear! I hope all is well out there. We will all get through this. Sometimes it may seem hopeless, but there will always be light at the end of the tunnel. This is quite a long tunnel, but we will get through it. I really hope the virus will go away soon and we all can get our freedom back, without worries when we go out into the world. Thank you so much for the comment. I really appreciate it. Huge apologies for responding too late. Wishing you love, blessings, health and happiness! ❤️🙏💫

Thank you, Andrea! My apologies for the late response. I hope those who are waiting for a response from me will see this message. Just recently, I made a decision to reply to newer comments. I have been trying to respond to older comments first, hoping to catch up. But I haven’t been successful. So instead of trying to do that (‘cause now, I’m a full year behind) I’ll start responding from newest to oldest. Thank you so much for the comment. I really appreciate it. I just received succulent stem cuttings and I didn't know that I could plant them before they callused (then wait a few weeks to water :)). Thank you for the tip! Are succulent cuttings with thicker hardier stems better to propagate in water? Appreciate the advice. You gained a new subscriber!
Hello Molly, yes. I have been growing all sorts of succulents in water and they seem to be doing just fine, too. Thank you for the question. My apologies for the late response. I’ve been so busy. 😅 Wishing you more blessings, love and good health! 🙏❤️💫

thanks for the video! I have a question on cuttings, whenever I cut stems, they almost always seem to shrivel at the spot I cut them. I make sure the cut is clean and they always shrivel and weaken within 2-3 days while I wait for the end to callous. what could I be doing wrong?
Hi Cay, I think it should be okay. As long as the rest of the cutting is fresh. The tip would naturally dry up. Huge apologies for the late response. 😅 I’ve been so busy. I’m sloooooowly trying to catch up on responding to comments and inquiries. I can’t believe I’m over 1 year behind now. 😔😅 Thank you so much for the comment. I really appreciate it. Great information and spirit! Many thanks.
You’re welcome and thank you so much for the kind comment! I really appreciate it! Wishing you tons of blessings in the coming year! ❤️🙏💫
hello!! this video was highly informative, thank you so much! I was wondering if you had any advice for what I should do with my cuttings if im going out for town for a week and a half- will they be ok without water for that long?
Succulents are very resilient. They can stay dry as cuttings longer than a week. 🙂 I think they’ll be fine. They may even start growing roots. If you put them in water, they will grow roots faster though. Thank you so much for the comment! Wishing you the greatest of health, the biggest of blessings and the purest of love! ❤️💰🏆
Amazing tips!❤ thanks!🖒

Hi Sheila,
I love your videos! It helps me a lot and make me fall in love at plants. Thank you.
2:30 I am doing The Keypoint #6, for Crassula arborescens, and already have roots after 1,5months. When is the best to put them on soil?
Hi Magdalena, I’m so glad to hear of your success with propagating. I suggest that you wait until their width is about half the width of a mother plant. They are more likely to survive the process when they’re bigger. Huge apologies for the late response. I’ve been incredibly busy. I’m really hoping to find time to make more videos soon. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. 😅Thank you so much for leaving an inquiry. I really appreciate it. Wishing you more blessings, love and good health! 🙏❤️💫

Wow, I'm so glad I came across this video yesterday. So informative and very clear/easy to understand at the same time. Even in reading the comments and responses I learned a lot! I noticed in the video you said that water propagation works best for plants with woody stems (although I read you had success with a jade plant as well, a non-woody stem). If you don't mind can you share a bit more on what you mean by "woody" stem? I have just recently tried water propagation for the first time after an extended period of attempting to propagate a cutting on soil with no roots, and water propagation sprouted roots in 2 days! I was amazed, yet moving forward want to be considerate of which types of stems might be better for this method. Having just ordered a box of 30 cuttings I have some work ahead of me :) Thank you so much
!
Wow! Best of luck with your fresh batch of cuttings, Allison! I’m so excited for your. Succulent with hard, woody (wood-like) stems are easier to root in water, over the fleshy, softer ones, like jade. In fact, I was surprised that it also worked on Jade plants. I can’t guarantee that all succulents with soft stem would grow roots in water though. Stems of Portulacaria afra are what I call woody. The aeoniums that were growing roots in water that I showed in this video also have hard, woody stems. For cuttings, if you would choose to plant them in soil, you should’t water for two weeks. I hope this helps. Thank you for asking your questions. I really appreciate it. ❤️😃🌈
Nice video
What kind of soil mix are you using and what kind of weather these succulents prefer?
Hello, Madhura! Here’s a video I made about the soil mix that I use. How to Customize Your Succulent and Cactus Soil (Succulents Differ)

Is there an update on the one you planted upside down? Did it turn out crested? It looked so cool!
Hi Kat! They look the same as their siblings now. In fact, I can’t remember which one it is ‘cause I transferred all of my succulents in the ground now. They’re so much easier to maintain now that they are not in planters. I’m planning to make a video about it, too. I have just been really busy. My apologies for the late response. I hope those who are waiting for a response from me will see this message: Just recently, I made a decision to respond to newer comments first.
