Jamaica lacked an experience leader who can manage the team on the pitch when they face difficult situations. Also the best defense is offense. I long to see a coach for Jamaica prepare our team to play the intensity like Ecuador. I agree we should have been awarded the penalty if they got theirs. Also they reviewed the Ecuador penalty twice as long than ours. That shows the respect they have for Jamaica.
Every time we play 🇪🇨 they play the same way. It’s true, we probably couldn’t manage their intensity this match but we come a far way since last scoreline we got from them.
I think that Antonio is their experienced leader. At 34, he is the oldest player on the team. He did score a goal against Ecuador.
Commendable results vs 2 teams who are better than us. Mexico and Ecuador have more talented players so the efforts of the coach and the players was good to see. We were always going to be second best and always be on the back-foot. People calling for the coach to be fired really don’t understand how hard it is to play against a team better than you.

It is hard and for Jamaicans to expect us Jamaica to play beautiful football against a side that is far superior lol. International football is completely different from club.

Some of the players can't keep possession of the ball.They lack basic skills such as passing, moving into spaces and creating opportunities to score.Cant blame the coach alone.

I still have faith in this coach. Just cannot understand these armchair critics. You keep saying this player should start. When he does not perform, you curse and blame the coach, saying this player should start...and so on and so on. The coach started a different approach and made the changes according to the 1st half performance. Give him a chance, or we will end up endlessly changing coaches.

@@fanaminott3377 CEPHAS: idk about his club performance because I've never watched him perform there hopefully in the future tho he would move upwards. IN MY OPINION WITH MY OWN EYES his performance the few times I watched him play for jamaica on the field his performance was outstanding.

We aren't winning games against good teams and that sucks ,but we really don't look capable either . It's not the coach , but our players are sub standard. Lembikisa had a simple cross to make with us attacking with a man advantage and couldn't beat the first defender ? Coach can't fix basic ball skills or the lack thereof

Grimmy I hope you learn from this Copa America. You need a strong bench to play at the top level internationally. Players will be injured/ lose form (Demarai Gray) or out for personal reasons (Leon Bailey) so you need elite level players to call on. In fact we need better quality in the midfield and ST. Second thing for me you should take note from how the team played in the second half. It is clear the guys are more suited to that system of play.
Antonio, Nicholson and Bobby Reid were our best players. Poor game from Lembikisa, Lowe and Bernard. We had the upper hand in the 2nd half but the subs were ineffective. We need more elite level players.

You all keep saying the cosch, when its the players responsibility to deliver on the pitch? No confidence. Plsying timid as if no one wants to be blamed for making a mistake. No one coming for the ball trying to play out of defense. Team press, force a long ball from us. Mentality problem, the man them slow to react to everything. 3 JA players stood around the loose ball and allowed one player to step in and win the ball, 3-1. Pressing was woeful. Be brave on the dam ball
Coach made some good adjustments after the first half, but I think he could’ve prepared the team better. Maybe he needs a set piece coach to join the squad, I didn’t like how the team looked in the first halves of both games. The team is talented and should not have been eliminated already from COPA.

It’s actually both.but mostly the coach…all soldiers follow the commands of a general.They strategize and the soldiers follow.Yes the soldiers would adjust on the field if said strategy is compromised but it’s the Generals duty to also adjust….Let’s see a team play without a coach staff and let’s see how far that team reaches.

He is learning. And his plan wasn't bad. The first 2 goals u really can't blame anyone. A deflection that would catch every keeper off guard and a penalty. We lost but as a nation we must can have sympathy as see we unfortunate and we must can see the coach is learning the team. I'm seeing so much more structure and tactics being applied than ever before. We seeing so much talents being called up more than ever before. It's not perfect yes but let's be honest we winning the matches we should and losing the matches we should. He is tweaking the side to find a perfect balance
