That tender will last longer than the noodles for sure. Noodle replacement doesn’t seem like something that will be to difficult to replace every 6 months or so. Seems like a great idea.
Thank you! The tender improvements have made a huge difference. The noodles are now covered with canvas that we had left over from a mailbag project, keeping the sun off the noodles and hopefully extending the life span. Totally right though, not hard to replace the noodles when they start to go! The tender is so much fun to drive and hang out in now, days out fishing 🎣 will be awesome -Cait
Great work you guys it looks amazing. Yes I'm glad you realize that the pool noodles won't hold up but they should be okay for a little while. Can't wait to see you next week when you take it for a run. I just love the way that you guys like to recycle stuff and use it for your benefit. As always stay safe and God bless till next week
Thank you so much! In total the tender collar cost us about $120 dollars, with glue, sikaflex, and "nomore nails', we think it's brilliant 👏 😀 👍 Thank you Kris! 💜💜 Cait
Thank you so much Rob & Karen! Next week is the sea trial to see how it performs - we are really looking forward to using the pods and having easy access into the water! -Cait
Thank you so much! 🤣 hahahaha yes they do! 😆 The tentacles had to be large for the glue to work, we'll say the other tentacles are behind him 😆😆🐙❤️ So happy to hear you enjoyed the video and the improvements! -Cait
Pool noodles, ours don’t last a season before they start breaking down. Perhaps some of the insulated lagging used by plumbers might be a better bet. Or cover the noodles with canvas, that might work. As a Territorian I’d not feel comfortable in an inflatable so it’s good to see you are using a tinnie, can we get a demo?
We've been talking about painting them with cheap paint or gluing some canvas onto the pool noodles. We have some canvas left over from the boombag project and the canvas would give the noodles great protection from the sun. When we were sailing though Hinchinbrook Island and going for exploration up the creeks it was really good feeling to be in the tinny with all the croocs around!! Next week's video is the sea trial - stay tuned!
@wyattfamily8997 Yes! She is owned by someone who is getting ready to retire soon and she is his retirement project and plans to restore her 🥰💙⛵️ -Cait
Dinghy looking good, pool noodles are a fail team. They are going to look like death in 5 mins, better off with alkathene pipe split and riveted on if you want something rounded and less damage inflicting. Alkathene pipe riveted on will also look like death but itd last at least. Video skills improving👍 Aways a good watch you 3⭐️
Thank you so much, always love hearing people enjoying the videos!💙 Yea the pool noodles won't last, not a forever solution, we've thought about covering them with paint or canvas to protect them from the sun ☀️ Very happy with the tender improvements overall! Now for the seatrial to see how it handles! 😃🌻☀️💙⛵️
I presume the pods will get the tinnie up onto to plane a bit more easily and the extra hull length will offset the increased beam of the external buoyancy to maintain performance

Thanks guys 😊
Thank you so much Trev! Legend! 💙☀️
Your customization definitely brings some fun and satisfaction to the enterprise... especially if it works. Good luck on the water!
Thank you Frank! She's definitely looking colourful but functional! 👍 Looking forward to doing the seatrial and how the pods affect speed! 😍

Love the idea of the pods on the stern of the tinnie. We'll be very keen to see how they go. Cheers R & K

Looking at the colour scheme noone in their right mind is going to steal it
@davidsutherland5044 functional and steal-proof ☺️🤩

Amazing modifications :) But doesn't an octopus have 8 tentacles? 😋
Thank you so much! 🤣 hahahaha yes they do! 😆 The tentacles had to be large for the glue to work, we'll say the other tentacles are behind him 😆😆🐙❤️

@@sailingwiththejamess Yes I assumed that was the case with the tentacles :) Looking forward to your next video.
Thank you! Sea trial will be great to see what these improvements do!

Did you guys find out what the owners plans are for the "twin" cat, your new neighbor. It would be interesting to compare boats.

Looks good but where are you going to put the wheels now?
Thank you! No wheels for us, we will do an endless loop type anchor ✨️
-Cait
It will last until you get your new one built.
Thank you so much Sallie 💖
