Getting ready to try your recipe. So glad I found your channel today! Anyway quick question. So if I want to can this up in jars like you do. How long do I need to do a water bath to seal my lids? Would I do it like 10 minutes the same for jelly? I didn’t want to burn the Carmel while canning it. So excited over this recipe!! ♥️♥️♥️
Yay! Thanks for sharing! Please let your kind friend know that her wonderful recipe and willingness to share it are greatly appreciated. Can't wait to try it!
You can make homemade Karo. I believe I found the instructions in a Paula Deen recipe book. I'll have to find it... True that most countries do not allow Karo due to, well....do your own research on it. There's nothing difficult about making it homemade. I believe it's just sugar and water boiled down.
So I realized as I was making this I didn’t have light corn syrup just dark … normally I never make a new recipe without checking my pantry but for some reason I spaced out this time … anyway still turned out amazing with the dark .. it was a huge hit !! We drizzled it over apple pie 🥧
This comment is with much respect. My family has been making this exact caramel sauce recipe for years except for the Sea Salt. It really surprised me. I’m so happy that you presented it on your channel! It is so very delicious. It’s even good without the condensed milk if you’re lazy one night and just want some caramel sauce and apples. It’s over the top delicious with the condensed milk though. I just couldn’t believe it. Maybe we’re related! Lolol! I love your channel. I am learning some amazing new recipes from you that I am definitely trying though. Thank You!
I'm one of those strange people that don't like salted caramel or really most salted sweet flavoured things. One exception is sweet and salty popcorn. Sorry. Lol. It sure looks pretty though. I make sweet caramel sauce with ghee , rice malt syrup ,arrowroot flour and rapadura. Its pretty good but definitely not compared to dairy based ones. My kids love it and their tummies are happy so that's important. Thanks for the video lovelies 🤩
I am another strange person then. No salted caramel for me. I think the 1/4 teaspoon of salt present in a typical stick of salted butter would be plenty to round out the flavor so it’s not flat but not so much that it’s salty caramel.
Yay! Thank you to your friend for allowing you to share the recipe! And thank you for this video! The apple crisp was amazing!! Can't wait to make this caramel to go with the rest of the apples we got last weekend!
We went apple picking, lots of apples. So Last night I made the apple crisp with gluten free flour and no Carmel and it was a huge hit. Also made your apple butter. My family loved it! Can’t wait to try this too

Thank you so much for sharing the video and please thank your friend for allowing you to share it! I also love that you asked her first, just saying ☺️. I don’t usually use corn syrup either but like you said, it’s dessert so I’ll get some and give it a try. One question, i’m wondering if this can be canned? Thank you!
Here's our experience...When we put it into our jars (hot) and lid it, it tends to seal. We've never actually canned it on purpose. So, definitely do your research.☺️
@@anniemcelroy2812 I already started some research and it doesn’t appear that there is an approved recipe or method. I’ll continue to look but until then I’ll just make it as needed then refrigerate. Thank you! ☺️
Great Cheryl. Since I haven't researched it yet I definitely don't want to give a firm answer about it :-) but yes, most the time it seals up on its own which is awesome.

Hello. No, no cold packs necessary for shipping. The caramel lasts a good long time on the counter but we do recommend putting it in the fridge for storage once you receive it.

The FDA does not recommend canning caramel sauce because of its low acidity. The same applies to apple butter.
