Our special needs 9 year old daughter went to Heaven in 2014. Can’t wait to see her walking and talking and doing all the things her earthly body was unable to do! I know she was healed as soon as she got there!!! So excited about going home!!!
where does the scriptures say humans go to heaven, where For is when they die? it does NOT say humans go into a place they are NOT designed to dwell at, NOT Purged, cleaned and converted as what scriptures say. Scriptures clearly say humans do NOT nave any conscience once they die until resurrection event when judgement is administered to humanity.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD . She is in heaven now - her soul/spirit. Her body in which she is absent from, is waiting for the resurrection. Like all of us and all who have gone asleep. You will get to see her take on her resurrected body. Oh, what a day.
@@danielmann5427John 17:24 - Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. be with me where I am; not where he was then, unless it may be meant of him as the omnipresent God, and as such then in heaven; though he rather designs where he should be as man, after his resurrection, and where the souls of saints are after death; and where they will be, soul and body, when raised again; and which is desirable both to Christ, and to his people; this was the joy that was set before him, and what they comfort one another with, that they shall be for ever with him:
I agree, faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. From this side of heaven it's hard to imagine the way things will be when we are there.
@cc3775 There is a passage in Matthew 25 that talks of the end times where the people are separated like sheep and goats. The sheep go to "eternal" life and the goats to "eternal" fire along with the Devil. I do understand the conflict inside because I too have loved ones that most likely will be heading to hell. It's probably the hardest doctrine that is written in the Bible. Adherents of Christianity can easily see that it is tucked in amongst all the other nice beliefs. Anyhow, you wouldn't be the first person to selectively build your own religion.
Jesus’ hands and feet still bear the scars. We don’t forget our pain, but it is redeemed. We see it wrapped in God’s justice. We see it wrapped in his forgiving love. And God himself will wipe the tears from our eyes.
Jesus was raised a spirit. As a spirit he could fashion his materialized body to take whatever form he desired. Most of his disciples didn’t even recognize him after his resurrection. Why would someone need proof the resurrected Jesus was who he said he was by investigating the injuries left by his execution? If his face looked like it did just THREE DAYS prior then why not just look at his face to tell if the resurrected Jesus was who he claimed to be? Is it reasonable to believe the apostles and disciples will forget how Jesus looked only after THREE DAYS of being dead? Spirits can materialized bodies and appear any way they wish and the resurrected Jesus did just that.
@@toreyhorton1789 Jesus was bodily resurrected. That's why the body disappeared from the tomb. That's why he still had the scars. That was specifically why in most of those appearances he ATE with the disciples - precisely to show he WASN'T a spirit. In only one of those appearances (the two men on the road to Emaus) did the people to whom he appeared not recognize him. This may have been that they were downcast and not really looking at him. This could have been that God had blinded their eyes. Or it could be that our resurrected bodies won't be exactly the same as we are right now. We just had a funeral for a lady at our church. I used to hang out with her kids when we were young (over forty years ago). I could recognize her youngest son easily because he has the most distinctive eyebrows. Even though he shaves his head now and back in his teen years sported a mane down to his shoulder blades. But his older brother, who I actually spent more time with, was a lot harder to recognize physically, but his attitude and voice were still there, and I could recognize him easily from that. In a similar way, our resurrected bodies, free of the influences of sin, decay, disease and all that (that one guy whose defining feature back from high school was his epic case of volcanic acne - won't be rocking a single pimple then) will probably preserve some of our features and look, the same way our adult faces preserve our appearance as children, but with a spiritual maturity that will make you appear both completely different and recognizably the same.
Not only will you meet here but you will have the opportunity to raise her. Christ loves you both more than you know. (According to modern revelation in the LDS faith)
I lost my daughter right after Christmas last year. She took her own life. I had prayed for months for God to heal her and save her. I believe she is with him now. There are many people who contributed to her choosing what she did along with her 8 rare conditions/illnesses. I tried so hard to help her and yet I feel like I missed the mark. Others did too and a few people whom harmed her and I believe have some responsibility over the outcome. I pray often for God to give me peace and to continue to heal me and my heart and help me forgive them. I appreciated this stream. Thank you. God Bless.
God bless you and your family. I can't imagine the pain of losing a child, but I was stricken with grief when my relationship ended. But I wouldn't be where I am with God had it not happened. I trust that the Lord has your child and that she is in good hands. I pray for your peace and healing.
Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss. Yet I sense from your words that God has already brought you a measure of healing. May He strengthen you day by day, and comfort you. All we can do is trust in His goodness, and rest in His love.
I to lost my son at his own hand. He also was sick. We love him dearly. It’s been years and it’s hard but the only thing that gets me through this is knowing is in the only place that he can be happy. He just couldn’t handle with his bi-polar living as an adult with all the demands he felt. I don’t feel guilty because he knew we loved him. We tried everything we could it just wasn’t enough. I miss him every day.
I agree. When I was a child I had so much heartache over being bullied. But now as an adult seeing my own siblings turn away from Christianity I can see how being bullied drove me to seek after God and deepen my faith until it was unshakeable. And I thank God for that pain.
Fellow former bully victim here. The one more secular saying which this reminds me of is "Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create hard times. Hard times create strong men." I feel that this applies to faith too. Nobody is stronger than one with faith forged or heat-treated from hard times.
I can relate. I have always been separated out from my siblings. I have had many blessings in my life and it took me a while to see that it has always been Jesus Christ, leading me through it all. My family now lives in insecurity and fear, sickness and hardships, not putting their trust in God. I live without fear, am healthy and have a pure love for God and Jesus Christ out Savior. Seems the only family and friend that was important that I really ever needed was Jesus after all. Now I look at me being separated out as a blessing. It's betty to have a bumpy road to Heaven than a smooth road to Hell.
Paul said it when I'm weak, it's then that I'm strong.... It's in those times that we seek Christ most.... Something good can come from struggles as long as we don't let it harden our hearts...
@@mmorphy4258maybe it’s just a coincidence. Christianity makes people kind of preoccupied with death and hell. It’s no wonder people constantly talk about this stuff. Why do you think there is a magical Holy Spirit? Isn’t a coincidence a better explanation given how preoccupied people are with this?

I needed to hear this today. I've been in alot of emotional pain lately and it has brought me closer to God. I was just listening to Cody Carnes "Run to the Father". I image that is what Heaven will be like.
I love how you said that, because He had asked me to take a hitch hiker and I was just going to take him to the nearest place where he could get another ride...and God told me..did I take you just half way??? I took him to where he wanted to go... Might have just been an angel God used to give me that message and you just reminded me of that. The hitchhikers name was Randy and he wanted to get on a greyhound bus from Arkansas to New York. I was at my house and the only stuff that was on TV was horror stuff. I wanted to go to a Bible study cause it was Wednesday when I saw the guy at the corner. I passed him up and prayed. God said...do you want to go to the study or do you want to do something for me? 😅 I said...well I have to go to the bank first and if the guy is still there when I come back around I'll pick him up. He was still there and the rest is a testimony 😅.I definitely do not advise people especially females to pick up hitch hikers...better pray about everything before you do it...if there's something I feel like doing but it looks too risky I ask God to send someone else in my stead...and sometimes he just kinda insists. He knows the reservations we have about certain things and he sure won't lead us to evil etc. My pastor always said...if he gives you the unction..he'll give you the function.
The sin-sacrifice-resurrection story implies a superstitious God who values blood-sacrifice. Obviously the superstitious early folks, who valued blood sacrifice, created the God of the Bible in their own image.
Early writers fabricated the resurrection hoax by making up fake testimonials that the disciples & others have witnessed an empty tomb & a risen Jesus.
When my mummy died, I had a vision of her hugging her mamma. I knew it was my granny and I saw the hug, and my granny standing up, which I don't remember seeing on earth.

Thank you mike. It’s been 10 months since my 6 year old daughter suddenly passed away, and I long to see her. I’m so thankful that we will know each other and be together in heaven. It gives me hope.
Most people, myself included, do not have any idea what it will be like to be in the presence of Christ. They do not understand how amazing that single thing will be. No idea whatsoever. The overwhelming power of it will blow our minds and is beyond our current comprehension.
I do agree with you. my thinking is it will feel a little bit like when you feel the sun come out from behind the clouds on a cold day. just the most tranquil and wonderfully warm presence you could ever feel. but Im sure our earthly minds cant even fathom how it will truely be.

Brother Mike, thank you so much. I’ve been laboring over that question since my dad died back in 1984. I finally have scriptural peace on that subject.
Good teaching, Mike! The point you made at the end, about people being able to look back at past suffering and be at peace and even thankful for it reminds me of a man my grandparents knew in the early 1970s. His name was Jiem Ming, and his family were Chinese immigrants to Thailand, where my grandparents worked as missionaries at the time. Jiem Ming was a brilliant student, but his promising earthly future was suddenly destroyed when he contacted leprosy in his early 20s. He was expelled from his family and had to go to the leprosy colony where my grandfather worked at the time as the main medical doctor. Understandably bitter at first about the turn his life had taken, Jiem Ming eventually came to Christ through the love shown to him by the caregivers and fellow patients in the community. He became a Christian evangelist and also translated many theological texts into Thai. He eventually thanked God for his contracting leprosy, as it led to his finding Jesus.

Pastor Mike, I so appreciate your ministry. I am grateful that you are always wanting to remain teachable. When I was first a Christian my pastor's wife told me "always" remain teachable. I have tried to keep this advice throughout my life. I'm sixty five and learn new things everyday. You have a solid perspective. Keep teaching and keep learning. 🙏🕊
I just want to say I’m glad there are genuine people of God like Pastor Mike. There is a lot to learn from role models like him. He is so rich in Biblical truths and I love how he always points us back to scripture as the authority of everything. This is what every teacher should be like. God bless him abundantly.
I’ve heard Chuck Smith say we would forget all evil, but I think we’ll remember since we will praise God for justice. We don’t need to sorrow about lost souls, on that day all of our questions will be answered.
The take of forgetting our lives/unsaved people in heaven always came off as very pessimistic/despairing to me. It implies that somehow the sorrow of this life is so great that we cannot have joy in heaven and still remember it, which reduces God's power and the utter perfection of heaven tremendously. The reason we won't be sad anymore isn't because we'll just forget what made us sad, but because we will come into perfect understanding under God, and fully accept the reasons for that suffering and the reasons for the punishments of unsaved people. The sorrows of this life will not in any way detract from the joy of heaven.

Thank you. Yesterday I was thinking of my 2nd husband and how he left with my 17 year old daughter. He’s since married my daughter and had 3 kids with her. Odd I feel more betrayed by her. Our rewards in Heaven are an eternal token for the lives we lived. The rewards themselves (or lack thereof) are a reminder of the kind of lives we lived.
Excellent point... to have no memory of life here would be to have everyone in heaven living with no clue why some are more blessed/rewarded than others....
A fantastic answer! I discovered this years ago and you hit it on the head. Another supporting idea is "in your presence there is fullness of joy", which mwans God is conatantly fully joyful, but how couls that be when He is aware of all the bad things going on here. He is joyful for the same reason we can be, which is the answer you gave
Beautifully said! Thank you for sharing this…it’s something I’ve wondered myself and I’ve been a Christian for 47 years and serious about studying and understanding the Bible for about 30 of those years. Really excellent content! Thank you!
I know when I was younger I believed that I wouldn’t remember my past. I then heard a eulogy saying that we will but only to use as a form to rejoice together with those in heaven. That made a lot of sense because the memories are there but the negative feeling is not because there’s no negative in heaven. Thank you for your thoughts this was awesome to listen
This is so great and important. Thank you for doing this online. This is an account to follow, because of sound and secure theology that doesn't waver. God bless!
Isaiah 65:17. "See I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.". So I wondered the exact same thing.
I, too, thought of this verse. It seems worth being addressed in a video such as this. While I agree with Mike that our memories won’t be erased, the experience of existence will be radically (to the root) different than now - our perceptions and comprehensions will be astoundingly unlike they are now.
Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing. They have no further reward, because the memory of them is forgotten.
Yeah, but like, it's all down to interpretation. Multiple verses as Mike mentioned show people in the Bible remembering their lives after death, so why don't we could interpret this one verse to say that's not the case, we could also, contextualize it, and come with a more accurate meaning. I mean, the idea of not remembering can be used in speech in a non-literal way, forgetting the past, does it mean you literally don't forget the past, it means you're moving on to the future.
@@AlphaProto If we don't have any recollection of our past lives just imagine the sinful people in hell?!... They must wonder why they were burned and tortured for eternity!!
Blessings, Pastor Winger. Thanks for this Blessed content. I believe that, all too often, we put limitations on God. I believe that the only limitations we should place on God, is scriptural…He cannot lie…He cannot sin. Jesus knew what went on in the pagan temples, such as Diana etc…yet, He wasn’t negatively impacted. I believe that we will be gifted with the ability to see all things, from a righteous and Godly perspective…there is NO GOOD that comes from sin. Blessings from Tennessee.
Mike you actually cracked your knuckles while you were talking.😂❤😂 I love you! Your videos are #1 in my UA-cam feed because I click on all your videos.
I believe we will fully understand. We will be in a place where we truly understand what happened, see God in it, and are in awe at how it wove into the greater context.
Pastor Mike Thank you so much. I appreciate your willingness to learn. As a young Christian a friend encouraged me to "always" remain teachable. I've followed this advise throughout my life. I am 65 and each day I learn something new. My daughter Amber died of an overdose. It almost destroyed me. I spent 35 years going to a churches similar to NAR. The last one was for 11 yrs. At Amber's funeral, the pastor's wife expressed her" regret that Amber was in Hell"... to my 18-year-old daughter! Let God deal with her as he sees fit. I have struggled about her eternity For many reasons I do believe she is with she is with Jesus. I know that God is merciful and just. I have found peace with this aspect of her life. My family's lives will never be the same. However, I know I serve a loving God. Pastor Mike you have a solid perspective. Keep teaching and learning. 🙏🕊
A loving god would not require servitude. Or demand worship. Or ignore vast numbers of the faithful who die at the hands of criminals, starvation or tragedy. A "regret of hell" would be the laziest banality I have ever heard.
I've heard several people say this throughout my childhood, I didn't understand where they could possibly be thinking that and they never provided a biblical example of the claim. Thanks for providing some light on it!
My friend at work confided to me his wife had a prescription interaction and she died. They resuscitated her and she said her father told her she wasn't done yet and sent her back.
Mike, thank you for this video, what you were talking about has been hard for me to grasp. Listening to various pastors over the years, it still eats at me if I know my children, grand children aren't Christians, my fault, and I look down from heaven and see them struggling in life and my never see or know them any longer. Thank you for talking about this subject, it still weighs heavy on my heart.
Being in God's presence is why we will not have sorrow. Ps 16:11. I don't think people contemplate how radically different our understanding will be when we are in God's presence.
it will be such a deep mercy that we just cant comprehend this side of the Kingdom-- to remember pain but not FEEL it. we just cannot wrap our heads around that absolute peace...! i wait on God for it too
I had a pastor say “God will wipe away every tear”, so basically He will wipe all of our memories away, this was very disturbing. Thank you for the truth.
When my daughter died someone told me that I had been an atheist for a long time and was just starting my journey to Christianity and it really turned me off so thank you for clarifying this I am a Christian now and I believe that God would be that cruel to not know the people that you loved or the experiences that made you
Thank you Pastor Mike, I really appreciate this. This is similar to how I’d come to think about things, the “mind wipe” version of things (along with being extremely unsettling), just never made sense to me.
you know, when we look back at the past, it is often sad or painful but there is beauty in that. perhaps when we are in heaven, the pain is gone but the beauty remains.
I agree with Pastor Mike on this. Paul would not call dying gain, if it effectively meant the end of him. For me to completely forget everything that happened on Earth is the same as me completely ceasing to exist. We /are/ our experiences. Retrograde amnesia like you see in old movies almost never happens in reality (most real cases of amnesia prevent NEW memories from forming, not erase old ones), but in those rare cases when someone completely loses their memories for whatever reason, that person has effectively "died." Their body might still be there but whoever is in it has a new personality, new experiences, new likes and dislikes. In what sense would I be "saved" or "immortal" at all if some other version of me with no ties to the old was all that remained after the Resurrection?
Same with dementia. Those who forget lose parts of their personality as well as the things they bonded with others over. I fully look forward to spending eternity with the people I watch cheesy movies with as well as making new friends.
There is only one way to be fully healed (in my opinion) of the bad of this life. It is amnesia. In a physical way on earth we can have pain that is the cause of some damage. But if only a pain killer is given, only the pain goes away. The damage remains. If you remember everything about this life, yet don't feel the pain, the damage remains. Your mistakes and sins you will remember forever??? No. Healing of the bad of this life is by amnesia. As it says: “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind. -excerpt Isaiah 65
@@8784-l3b You're reading amnesia into the text though, it doesn't explicitly say amnesia. This passage may be conveying a point very broadly and perhaps not meant to be understood entirely literally.
@@Bugs-o8k From word hippo: What does amnesia mean? Noun 1 (pathology) Loss of memory; forgetfulness. 2 (figuratively) forgetfulness you wrote: This passage may be conveying a point very broadly and perhaps not meant to be understood entirely literally. What does that even mean?
@@8784-l3b I wish we could talk in person for this conversation because things like voice tone etc. matter. But I mean this in the kindest way possible when I say if you truly believe that amnesia is the only way to heal wounds, then you lack all meaningful faith in God or even the slightest comprehension of what it will truly mean to be in fully, physically His Holy Presence. We will "forget" much of what was before not because we can't remember it but because it will be a "who cares in comparison to this" amazement. When you were a child, a small toddler, at some point you probably fell and bumped your head or your foot or something as you were learning to walk. At that moment, you cried. It hurt. It was a big deal. A few minutes later you stopped crying because someone picked you up and comforted you and the pain became trival and forgotten for more immediate relief. Not multiply that times the literal infinity of a FAR more loving God and an eternal life in Kingdom. In what sense does a mere mortal life of a few decades need to be completely erased in order to be overshadowed by THAT?
Like a child who slips and falls and is picked up by their parent. The tears are wiped away and soon they no longer are upset about the skinned knee. Gods love surpass all pain! Being in his presence will be so dawning the pain of the world will be that of a memory and no longer hold weight or cause suffering. We are being reconciled back to him and a apart of that is a healing process!
One of my favourite verse comes to mind: 2 Corinthians 4:17 "For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison". The afflictions of this life are doing something-are producing something-in us that will contribute to the eternal weight of glory in the new creation. We will not only remember our earthly life, but its perfected and healed memory (as Ps Mike said) will contribute to our joy in God.
I guess you could also say, if we didn't remember anything at all. then how would we be able to follow that comparison of the eternal weight of glory. Does that makes sense? or is that what you were alluding to here haha sorry if i missed it.
@@alvaroescalante1167 yeah that's a good one too! My point was more that the memory of Earth will contribute to the weight of glory in Heaven, but you're right that when it's time to compare we would also need to remember!
I always thought of it like we'll have a greater understanding of everything and not know sadness as we do on earth because we don't have all that knowledge here. But i absolutely believe we'll know are loved ones , friends and even meet family that passed on long before me.
There will come a time when God will wipe away all your tears. Everything that you mentioned is before the judgements. I can't help but think that it will make an impact on all of us, we will see things differently afterwards.
Ive always thought that we wont forget our life here because if we did we also wouldnt remember the gravity of what Christ did for us. We will be more aware of what happened here more so than we are right now. I find comfort in that because i know i take my salvation for granted more than i should and i cant wait till that never happens again.
Omg I got told that too and I panicked and got so beside myself.. that is so depressing to think because then if we do get our memory’s wiped does that mean I’m not gonna know I’m there.. am I gonna still be me? See then all the anxiety starts in.. it makes it terrifying to go but you only wanna go cause you don’t wanna burn 😂 the unknown is always a little scary and you add peoples opinions like that it’s a recipe for disaster!! I honestly believe we remember everyone and know them even better than we do here!
Jesus Christ died for our Sins according to the scriptures and that he was Buried and that he rose again the third day praise God praying for everyone everyday God bless you all...
This life will be forgotten. This was known hundreds of years before Jesus came. “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind. -excerpt Isaiah 65
You're not alone. Late 19th century writer Thomas Allin wrote in _Christ Triumphant:_ "And when, finally, the curtain falls on an universe darkened by endless sin, they actually call this the triumph of the Cross; and are content to retire into a heaven of ineffable selfishness, where love is paralyzed, and the Spirit of Christ dead; not caring though the wail of the lost for ever rise; the husband grown for ever deaf to the appeal of the wife; the mother unheeding the eternal agony of her child. Dante inscribed over the gate of the medieval hell, 'Abandon hope, you who enter here.' Our teachers bid us inscribe over the gate of heaven, words, if possible, more awful, 'Abandon love and sympathy: abandon the spirit of Jesus Christ, you who enter here.'" I believe God will search for the lost sheep UNTIL he finds them (Luke 15:4, John 12:32, 1 Cor. 15:22,28).
How simply erroneous an ludicrous...our families are there to greet us when we arrive...All who have gone before us...best of all Jesus...History isn't erased...it's redeemed.
I lost two "Dads" - my biological one, when I was 14 and my Stepdad, when I was 26. Both of them were very important to me. My Stepfather was sent bei God, because I needed him for my growing process - especially towards God himself. Even though my Stepdad was a Jehovahs Witness since childhood (I'm pretty sure that he realized on his deathbed, that that isn't the right way), I found God through him and the JWs - I must state I'm not one of the JWs, I just started to dig deeper into the bible after going to the JWs meetings. I truely believe that I will meet them both - and everybody else I never met or that I lost from my family - when I'm with God. I really believe that this is one thing our true and loving Father doesn't take away from us. Also I think that the things we endured in this life shaped us - yes even the bad ones - and we have characters, so I don't think God wants us to be all the same and stuff. All those memories, loved ones and stuff made us how we are and when we then also realize who we are in Jesus, we are finally whole.
So I think it’s really interesting, Heaven isn’t a place completely without sadness. We are told that every tear will be wiped away. That implies we will always be comforted in His presence, not that we have no memories. In fact when all things are made new, we are told the old creation will not be remembered, but the people who are in Heaven are already part of the new creation. As the Second Born of Resurrection, the believers in heaven are made new long before the old passes away. I think we will remember past hurts, but forgiveness will be so radical in the After, that we will praise God for how he turned all things for the good of Us who were called according to his purposes. That’s my understanding of it, but I’m not in heaven, so I can only really theorize
I've always looked at it that we will look back on our lives from a completely different perspective. We will see how God uses the hard times in our lives to help us to grow. Amd those hard times won't bring us sorrow or hurt anymore. Even in my own life now, I look back at things thay were so painful a few years ago and they no longer bring me sorrow or heartache. I can see how going through those things brought me closer to the Lord or helped me in some way. So I can only imagine how even more removed we will feel in heaven from the pain in our lives. My one concern with this is loved ones who won't be with us in heaven. I don't understand how I won't feel sorrow being in heaven and knowing I will never seeing them again.
The notion of eternal bliss seems rather selfish. Several million children die of starvation every year. Perhaps you think an infant in heaven won't miss the pleasure of a full stomach. Your religion is fraudulent because it is unable to account for or elucidate its illusory sky pleasure dome. Your religion is immoral because it threatens to withhold heaven from those it deems unworthy.
Hey Mike, I've been watching your videos for quite a while, since 2021 to be precise. I was a new convert at the time, then became a Calvinist after reading and watching content from Calvinists like RC Sproul, the Puritans, John Calvin himself, etc. I eventually ended up in a proper Calvinist seminary. I've always been ignorant about Arminianism and used to attack Arminians, thinking it was cool. However, I'm still in the seminary, and I've become quite skeptical about both Calvinism and Arminianism in the past 3-4 weeks. Arminianism is starting to make more sense to me now. Hello Victoria ... if you are open to the possibility that what you've always been taught, and what Mike Winger is teaching, is incorrect, I would like to suggest that the truth about heaven and your family members and everybody's family members is far more positive and beautiful. Most of the early church fathers believed that punishment in the lake of fire will be temporary and will be proportional to their sins (not infinite). Once their punishment and purification is complete, they will be able to enter heaven. If you'd like to know more, look for the post I will make soon (including the two replies I will make to it). God bless you and yours! I believe He will!

@yafois988
Absolutely false.
The scriptures do not teach soul sleep. The scriptures teach the very opposite.

We’ll be in the presence of God. We won’t need to forget our earthly lives to be happy.
Your life will always be earthly
I agree, faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. From this side of heaven it's hard to imagine the way things will be when we are there.
Will you forget your friends and family burning in Hell for eternity?
@@dallas1891 no one burns in hell for eternity. That’s just more false doctrine that the church has taught.
Imagine Jesus looking at his hands and going "oh wow! What happened here?!"
Bore. Bore the scars.
Wow. This is a really profound response. Kudos. 👏
No way I could ever believe this. I had a daughter who was miscarried and I can't wait to meet her some day.

Thank you. God Bless.
So sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine how you feel but God knows.
Amen. It’s in our hardest moments that we are drawn close to Him.
Amen!
Fellow former bully victim here. The one more secular saying which this reminds me of is "Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create hard times. Hard times create strong men."
I feel that this applies to faith too.
Thank you Mike. I literally just said what you said almost word for word this past Sunday without knowing this video existed.

Very encouraging response! Thank you.
As Mike said, we will see the sorrows differently as steps in waking up with Christ instead of taking us into separation.
You know this how exactly?

Isaiah 65:17. "See I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.". So I wondered the exact same thing.
I, too, thought of this verse. It seems worth being addressed in a video such as this. While I agree with Mike that our memories won’t be erased, the experience of existence will be radically (to the root) different than now - our perceptions and comprehensions will be astoundingly unlike they are now.
Ecclesiastes 9:5
For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing.

I agree with Pastor Mike on this. Paul would not call dying gain, if it effectively meant the end of him.
For me to completely forget everything that happened on Earth is the same as me completely ceasing to exist.
We /are/ our experiences. Retrograde amnesia like you see in old movies almost never happens in reality (most real cases of amnesia prevent NEW memories from forming, not erase old ones), but in those rare cases when someone completely loses their memories for whatever reason, that person has effectively "died."
Their body might still be there but whoever is in it has a new personality, new experiences, new likes and dislikes.
There is only one way to be fully healed (in my opinion)
of the bad of this life. It is amnesia.
In a physical way on
earth we can have pain that is the cause of some damage.
But if only a pain killer is given, only the pain goes away. The
damage remains. If you remember everything about this life,
yet don't feel the pain, the damage remains. Your mistakes
and sins you will remember forever??? No.
Healing of the bad of this life is by amnesia.
As it says:
“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;
And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind.

Thank you. This was explained so well 👏 ❤
Very good teaching on this subject, thank you.
Yes agreed! I can relate this is so good. Thank you for sharing
Praying God's will for your life will become clearer to you and bless you with His peace and joy.
That's the way I was thinking it is! Not exactly in those words, but Mike's better spoken about these things than I am.
I always thought of it like we'll have a greater understanding of everything and not know sadness as we do on earth because we don't have all that knowledge here. But i absolutely believe we'll know are loved ones , friends and even meet family that passed on long before me.
Adding "squid away" to my everyday conversations after this.
Thank you Mike, wonderful insight!!!
OH my word! Sir! i Love your t-shirt 😍 the cutest thing i have seen this year. 😅
I’ve been a failure and disappointed for most of my life. I’m really hoping I’m able to forget it all and just focus on Jesus.
Focus on Jesus NOW. That's what Scripture tells us to do.
You will hopefully see that you are not a failure in his eyes.
Pleases pray for me Karen in Florida healing from illness
We won't forget our earthly sorrows, but the won't hurt us anymore.
Thank you, Mike. Bless you
There will come a time when God will wipe away all your tears.
“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;
And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind.
-excerpt Isaiah 65
**squid hands** 😂 I’m laughing but you made excellent serious points here.
Jesus Christ died for our Sins according to the scriptures and that he was Buried and that he rose again the third day praise God praying for everyone everyday God bless you all...
Aren't you worried that people can just lie?
To feel peace knowing people I love are burning in hell for all eternity is to change me so fundamentally, I would not be myself anymore.
This life will be forgotten. This was known hundreds of years before Jesus came.
“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;
And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind.
-excerpt Isaiah 65
You're not alone. Late 19th century writer Thomas Allin wrote in _Christ Triumphant:_
"And when, finally, the curtain falls on an universe darkened by endless sin, they actually call this the triumph of the Cross; and are content to retire into a heaven of ineffable selfishness, where love is paralyzed, and the Spirit of Christ dead; not caring though the wail of the lost for ever rise; the husband grown for ever deaf to the appeal of the wife; the mother unheeding the eternal agony of her child.
Dante inscribed over the gate of the medieval hell, 'Abandon hope, you who enter here.' Our teachers bid us inscribe over the gate of heaven, words, if possible, more awful, 'Abandon love and sympathy: abandon the spirit of Jesus Christ, you who enter here.'"
I believe God will search for the lost sheep UNTIL he finds them (Luke 15:4, John 12:32, 1 Cor. 15:22,28).
Thanks Mike! Love the shirt 👌🏻
It says He will wipe away every tear…. there’s a lot that could mean. ❤️🙏🏽
I really enjoy your video's. thank you!
How simply erroneous an ludicrous...our families are there to greet us when we arrive...All who have gone before us...best of all Jesus...History isn't erased...it's redeemed.
Thank you for the explanation. It is helpful. God bless
God Bless! Love this video!
What a great answer
"For behold, I create new heavens
and a new earth,
and the former things shall not be remembered
or come into mind" Isaiah 65:17
Correct.
We aren't going to remember our sins and mistakes for all eternity.
I'm not a fully-fledged Arminian yet, but the arguments are very logical, and I might become one shortly.

This explanation reminds me of reading the book Hinds Feet on High Places. This was her attitude exactly when she finally reached paradise.
According to revelation jesus has bronze feet. That would have made water walking quite difficult I guess.
That’s what I was always taught and I cried and cried and have a deep sadness and fear of heaven the thought makes me so sad and never want heaven. I am trying to change this thinking but it’s hard
“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;

Luk 16:27-28: "Then he said, I pray you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house: For I have five brothers; that he may testify to them, lest they also come into this place of torment."
Therefore comfort one another with these Words... That makes it pretty clear to me. I would like to talk with you about something that is very clear in the Bible. I'm a missionary in South America.
Isa 65:17 For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or even come to mind...
