I don't have it to hand this second, but I think you press and hold the side button and it will come up with the different modes, at this point press the wheel up/down or left/right to resize or change distance. You might have to check in settings that spacial (or worded something similar) is switched on, hope that helps 👍
I went out and bought a bt keyboard today but later found out later it doesn't have a Windows button. I looked it up and was supposed to use ctrl+esc. But I had no luck. Can anyone help? I bought a iclever bk08

Hello, I am thinking to buy a Beam. I saw several reviews was talking about heat problem, fan noise and charge issue. I am wondering if Xreal fix them? Thanks.
@@wenyanwang219 From my understanding, the Beam was very poorly designed, and they never fixed it, they moved on to their mobile phone device which did it all. So if you want the features the Beam provided, you would have to get their "xreal beam Pro". I haven't used it though, so I don't know how well it performs as a beam, hope that helps 👍
There is another way that has become available since I did this guide, hope this helps: 1. As Beam was not initially designed to operate as a phone, certain Android applications may not operate seamlessly on Beam, particularly those demanding high processing power. 2. To install an app, connect your Beam to a computer (Android File Transfer App required for Mac users) -> Drag the APK files onto Beam -> Detach Beam and connect it to XREAL glasses -> Navigate to the 2D Application folder on Beam's homepage -> Open the File app -> Select Beam -> Install. 3. Apps that require Google Mobile Services (GMS) are not supported, e.g. UA-cam. Android App Bundle (AAB) format is not supported. 4. Please ensure to download applications from a secure app store.
Unfortunately it isn't straight forward. You can connect a USB hub to the right hand side port, but that is the port you need to connect the glasses to, so you would need some kind of USB C hub that has display port passthrough on the USB C connection and USB C output. There are a couple of hubs that work, but I'm not sure what they are, so you might have to ask on the Discord which can be found here: discord.gg/4GRAE2GJcr Another option would be to store films on your phone and stream it across (depending on your phone etc). Don't forget the XREAL Airs/Air 2's only have a 1920 x 1080p screen, so you won't need 4K, as you won't be watching 4k. Hope that helps

XREAL have now updated the Beam so that if you connect it to a computer, it is detected as a file storage system, and you can download APKs onto your PC and transfer them to the Beam. You then would go onto the Beam, look in the file folder and select the Apk to install it. Hope that helps 👍

Hi, what apps did you download? Did you find some video apps work better then others? Kodi is a great multimedia app though it can have serious problems when resizing the window on my quest 2. Also I believe the beam is 32 bit only and that is a limitation that I can’t comprehend because this is a device of the future. 32 bit android is unheard of today. So did that make a difference when installing what you needed?
Okay you interested in streaming online. I'm interested in playing offline media. I have a pocket router that supports a 512 gig micro sd card and a usb 3 port for any drive so I got massive portable storage.@@DayDreamerVR
@@NerdyMangler unfortunately the UA-cam app does need Google play services to run, but to get around this I installed the Google chrome app and have UA-cam bookmarked and just run it through the browser 👍

Wish you went more in depth of what it could possibly do. Especially for people who already have the x real glasses. It sounded like you skipped through a lot. You don't even know if any other features would be useful.

I have a Xbeam and I have to say the experience has been very poor, Xreal need to do more work on the software.
I think the Beam really does need software development, but I do have concerns that it isn't powerful enough, hopefully I'm wrong 🤔

it's good enough for most psp roms on retroarch but strangely n64 performs badly.
