Unfortunately I don't have a ps5 myself at the moment to test this 😞but I tested the video port with a TV and it didn't work, the previous beam DID work
Yes I bought one off Amazon only thing thing is the one I got has to be powered as well which shouldn’t be issue since ps5 has so many usb slots available
You didn't adress the biggest difference, and why people could consider both... The nonpro lets you connect to other devices. The pro can't, which for me, makes it a useless product.
Thanks for stopping by to highlight this. Do you mean connecting to a TV or to use it with steam deck / Rog ally / legion go? I tried to address a couple of things I noticed that weren't great: the processor is better but not amazing and also the sideview was removed. However, there's always something that slips through the net, what devices have you tried to connect and didn't work as expected? What was the expectation and what was the result?. I did observe some limitations when connecting to my TV but for me it wasn't a major issue, maybe there's something else more relevant that I'm missing and I should revise. Thanks again for bringing this to my attention! 🙏
@@FTACatch-up the pro is a standalone device..The non pro beam enables body anchor/smoothfollow on other devices like consoles, computers and other phones(which imo is a "pro" feature).
I had a chance to look at what you mentioned and found it works nicely with moonlight, essentially it works exactly like the beam but wireless which at first sight might sound like and improvement but no. It does require installing moonlight and that's simple but limiting as it depends on a third party software. I'll try to post a separate video to address this. The beam pro is "pro" from the perspective of AR in comparison to the beam BUT in terms of the feature to connect to the steam deck or Rog ally I agree it's not "pro", even the smaller button to swap the modes is a bit of a nuisance. I also think it's misleading that these are, to xreal, two separate different devices more than an improved version and whereas there are improvements in some areas some others like the one you pointed out has been left behind. I'm annoyed and I'll try to post a few options. thanks again! 😎
Interesting, so this has now become a cheaper Apple Vision Pro? I think you’re right about the App Store, they should absolutely focus more time into expanding its library. That would indirectly make the xreal capable of more, while maintaining a price point under $1000 for a full set up; compared to apples still half baked $3500 headset.
Thanks for sharing your view. I personally don't think this would be exactly as the Apple Vision Pro as the apple product would be more immersive and have other features BUT sadly there are quite similar in terms of the limited number of apps available. If there were more apps or more work on the apps that currently think, I do agree with you that it would make the xreal potentially more capable! 😎
Apps compatible with AR space might show a slight transparent background when moving them around, there's also a transparent menu that pops up when swiping but I'm not sure how to achieve that for specific apps or whether it's possible 🤔
Xreal made a mistake by adding screen and cameras to the beam which make it a big device. They must ke a new device without screen and cameras like the old beam
Thanks for sharing your feedback. Similarly, I think they made a mistake calling it "beam pro" as it is almost a different device. What you described is exactly what a "beam pro" should have been😎
Thanks for you sir
Hi, If I have Samsung note 20 ultra or better, so I dont need beam, do I?
Thanks for interesting.
I have used it with an s20 fe as well I've heard it'll work with the 10 line as well
Can you use any of the usb-c to hdmi to connect to a ps5?

How to have the apps floating with a transparent background on the beam pro you know?

@FTACatch-up hi you welcome, thanks for all your videos
xreal beam battery 3.5 hour working
xreal beam pro battery 3.5 hour working interesting🗿🤣🤔
...or "unlimited" when plugged to the power supply 😄
