Just got mine. Disappointed that it doesn't have the triple display functionality of Nebula - i find Nebula very jittery. Otherwise very impressive and I can't wait to see where AR will be in the next few years. The Air resolution is seriously impressive! Hopefully everything can be updated and the user experience can be improved.
I've read that stand-alone apps will be added to the Beam with future OS update. Even if we don't get 3 screens, it would be nice if we can view both an app and the connected device screen as 2 separate windows.
yeah, let's hope Nebula for PC should come, eventually. But i do see XReal being the future of AR, unlike Apple's headset, which I find dumb. putting the brains of the computer and battery is not only stupid, but dangerous.
Just got mine, so far it is amazing! Works flawlessly with my Asus ROG Ally and S23 Ultra. Keep in mind, there are still some DRM (digital rights management) so somethings such as casting to Disney+ isn't quite approved.... Yet.

What I have tried is all the major Streaming platforms apps (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, HBO, Paramount+, Google Movies, and Peacock) and I am unable to stream. I have also tried to download a series/showa and movies to my local internal storage on the S23 Ultra and still no playback. So far, streaming content creature content on UA-cam is all I have been successful with. With all that's said, XREAL did state that DRM is being worked on as a future function.
@@Bunsoko88 Yeah thanks for trying. Xreal was unsure but said that that they did not think it would work since the Ally charger uses 65W. This means that pretty much every new demanding AAA game will not be usable with the beam if you want good fps. This suck for us with the Ally.

Hi, honestly we don't test the turbo mode. But if the 30W mode can only be enabled when the ROG Ally handheld is plugged into a 65W or higher wattage power delivery adapter or Type-C hub. Then I'm afraid that the Beam may not support this mode. Anyway, thanks for your info, we will do this test ASAP.

That means I can still play on the Beam with battery 15W but playing cyberpunk with good fps is impossible without 30W turbo mode. Hi, you can cast the whole phone screen to the Beam, and there is no app limit. But please note that there is DRM for wireless connection with the Beam, it is no problem with the wired connection.

@XREAL I have been trying to get to support because the beam doesn't want to connect to the PS5 and I have the same WiFi to both devices. I am using the front and only USB c port I can find and plug the other end to the power port of the beam and still nothing. And you support doesn't want to help. This works perfectly with ny ROG Ally, however i want to see if i can use it with an xbox without being close to my console? I got the Beam hoping it would solve that, that id be able to leave the Beam connected to the xbox but wirelessly transmit to my glasses. Is this not the case? I still have to be wired from the glasses to the xbox via the Beam in the middle?

I’m looking to buy a pair of these and eying one on eBay and I’ve been watching reviews in anticipation and it seems that for a lot of people, the glasses not being wireless is a sticking point as cable are,”inconvenient”. Going full wireless is not just not feasible atm because that means a battery in the glasses themself so I was thinking maybe instead of cutting the wire out completely maybe shortening it is the next best thing. Perhaps a redesign of the beam where it becomes wearable around the neck like the neuro linker from that anime accel world. Dunno if it’s possible to condense everything in the beam to something wearable around the neck and retain its functionality but it would make it so you don’t have to connect it with a long trailing cable, just an idea. Can’t wait to get my hands on a pair, the glasses would be an awesome companion for my steam deck.

I was really excited about the Beam because of its built-in battery, but it turns out that it doesn’t work well with my iPhone 15 Pro. Instead of charging my phone,it charges itself and drains my phone even faster. I haven’t used it much since. The features are nice, but since it doesn’t charge my phone, it’s not really useful to me.
how about if a phone connect Beam via wireless and Beam wired connect to nReal Light, then touch screen in nReal Light, will it work in phone? For easy understand, I want do acction in phone but don't want touch to phone or any controller, just want only touch in virtual screen. Hi, let me clarify this for you. There is only a 0Dof screen when the XREAL Beam works with the Light. And what's more, the operations on the virtual screen are not supported on most of the platforms, it is only supported in the developed apps of Android Nebula.

I wish my monitor broke 1 year later. I bought a new monitor which could have been an nreal air and then I had coins to spare for a beam. I mean: I love my 4k monitor. But a portable 1080p monitor is good too. The problem with all the VR headsets is that they deliver unreadable text due to the full view experience they want to give. But the beam+air sounds exactly what I need to work in the train or bus on my deck.

The only good thing is you can u your switch with the beam, the other experience? Terrible wireless connectivity, heat issue, lack of charging port (they suggest wired usage, hence the need of the extra port). Without app, this beam is bssically a paperweight device.

Why do only SOME usb-c chargers wrk for charging ? people jst hafta keep buying different ones until they get lucky and find one that wrks ? @@XREAl_Tech_Support I have been using the beam since the 15th. When I do airplay from my iPad and phone the video or the document disappears and comes back , it stutters and is unusable. I am referring to UA-cam when I say video. If wired , I am better off . Again very specific usb 4 and Thunderbolt 3/4 cables work. So I was told this is a pre order , cable never came, wrote to support who were absolute rubbish and after 6 days they came back and said , you are not eligible for the cable. I asked them when I could pick one up if I pay, they said wait for the cables to get launched in Malaysia. So here I am trying to figure out what’s happening. I deal a lot with customer experience in leading companies. This in my opinion is utter garbage.
the xreal beam will draw power from your device, such as a Nintendo switch or steam deck to power the beam, resulting in device battery dying even fast than usually. very unfortunate they didn't put a power bank on the beam. would of made the beam worth it. not worth the money in current state.

Let me give you my ranking on the pointless scale for it. 3D movies that require polarized glasses, followed by curved displays, then this thing, and dead last is keyboards that get projected onto a flat surface. Good news is it's only the 2nd most useless tech I can think of. Maybe in 20 more years it'll be interesting, but what it currently is, is a gimmick.

I don’t have one but I’ve seen the reviews and demos of the glasses. This is just a hub to attach power so you can use it on ac power and with more ports.

Will it work if connecting to an iPhone personal hotspot? Is that the same Wi-Fi? If not, how can it work at an environment without Wi-Fi such as on a plane?
Since Apple Airplay will work fine over a hotspot, I see no reason why this would be any different.

It should work. As it is a sync screen of your cellphone. so anything you see on your cellphone it will on Air.
Does this allow multi-virtual monitor setups with windows? (Nebula for Windows?) I was one of the first customers to order an nreal/xreal air, and have been waiting on the release for Nebula for Windows, for way too long. Fed up of the rumors on the Reddit pages by the xreal mods. When is Nebula releasing for Windows? I won't be purchasing this till you wrap up the promised features from your earlier product line ie., Xreal Air Nebula for Windows.

I’m looking to buy a pair of these and eying one on eBay and I’ve been watching reviews in anticipation and it seems that for a lot of people, the glasses not being wireless is a sticking point as cable are,”inconvenient”. Going full wireless is not just not feasible atm because that means a battery in the glasses themself so I was thinking maybe instead of cutting the wire out completely maybe shortening it is the next best thing. Perhaps a redesign of the beam where it becomes wearable around the neck like the neuro linker from that anime accel world. Dunno if it’s possible to condense everything in the beam to something wearable around the neck and retain its functionality but it would make it so you don’t have to connect it with a long trailing cable, just an idea. Can’t wait to get my hands on a pair, the glasses would be an awesome companion for my steam deck.

I was really excited about the Beam because of its built-in battery, but it turns out that it doesn’t work well with my iPhone 15 Pro. Instead of charging my phone,it charges itself and drains my phone even faster. I haven’t used it much since. The features are nice, but since it doesn’t charge my phone, it’s not really useful to me.

how about if a phone connect Beam via wireless and Beam wired connect to nReal Light, then touch screen in nReal Light, will it work in phone? For easy understand, I want do acction in phone but don't want touch to phone or any controller, just want only touch in virtual screen. Hi, let me clarify this for you. There is only a 0Dof screen when the XREAL Beam works with the Light. And what's more, the operations on the virtual screen are not supported on most of the platforms, it is only supported in the developed apps of Android Nebula.

I wish my monitor broke 1 year later. I bought a new monitor which could have been an nreal air and then I had coins to spare for a beam.
I mean: I love my 4k monitor. But a portable 1080p monitor is good too.
The problem with all the VR headsets is that they deliver unreadable text due to the full view experience they want to give.
But the beam+air sounds exactly what I need to work in the train or bus on my deck.
This is basically a apple vision pro, but done better ❤❤
They discontinued this item already, just got it and its old tech now.

We will continue to support Beam and functionality that many customers love, like how it helps them connect to handheld gaming consoles and other devices. That remains a great option for many people and their use cases.
The only good thing is you can u your switch with the beam, the other experience? Terrible wireless connectivity, heat issue, lack of charging port (they suggest wired usage, hence the need of the extra port). Without app, this beam is bssically a paperweight device.

Our team is working on a DRM solution that will enable applications on the Beam itself.
In regards to charging, please use the port that labelled with a lightning symbol. That port can also be used for wired connection. When connecting to devices wirelessly, you will be able to charge the Beam.

Why do only SOME usb-c chargers wrk for charging ? people jst hafta keep buying different ones until they get lucky and find one that wrks ? For the price of devices like this... especially if they are picky at meeting their specific charging requirements... it would make sense to INCLUDE THE REQUIRED CHARGING CABLE AND BRICK 🤦♂️🤷♂️🤦♂️

Beam’s Airplay is completely unusable. It’s worse than beta. Guys atleast test and fix before you make such announcements that are completely false
Hi, we did test the Airplay before launching. Could you please give me more details about the issue you mentioned? Please check if the same wifi is connected to your iPhone and the Beam.
@@XREAl_Tech_Support I have been using the beam since the 15th. When I do airplay from my iPad and phone the video or the document disappears and comes back , it stutters and is unusable. I am referring to UA-cam when I say video. If wired , I am better off . Again very specific usb 4 and Thunderbolt 3/4 cables work. So I was told this is a pre order , cable never came, wrote to support who were absolute rubbish and after 6 days they came back and said , you are not eligible for the cable. I asked them when I could pick one up if I pay, they said wait for the cables to get launched in Malaysia. So here I am trying to figure out what’s happening. I deal a lot with customer experience in leading companies. This in my opinion is utter garbage.

the xreal beam will draw power from your device, such as a Nintendo switch or steam deck to power the beam, resulting in device battery dying even fast than usually. very unfortunate they didn't put a power bank on the beam. would of made the beam worth it. not worth the money in current state.
This makes no sense to me. It's the equivalent of taping your cellphone in front of your face at best. I'll stick to watching an actual TV 😆

Let me give you my ranking on the pointless scale for it. 3D movies that require polarized glasses, followed by curved displays, then this thing, and dead last is keyboards that get projected onto a flat surface. Good news is it's only the 2nd most useless tech I can think of. Maybe in 20 more years it'll be interesting, but what it currently is, is a gimmick.

I don’t have one but I’ve seen the reviews and demos of the glasses. This is just a hub to attach power so you can use it on ac power and with more ports.
