Can we all just agree religious folk are banned from attempting to use science to justify their prejudice, when science clearly contradicts their supernatural beliefs.
Well science contradicts some of them, by disproof. Others just remain without any evidence base or compelling reason to follow....so shows them to be inherently irrational or cultural to follow. If the were to be a "creator" of the vast universe we exist in, for sure it would be something beyond our ability to comprehend..not one we can personify and get some folksie rules from

@@Mee-n3e "Science has absolutely no answer as to why that was the case." We know people lie, we know people misremember, we know people get things wrong, we know people interpret things to be true when they aren't, we haven't a scrap of evidence that people have prophetic dreams.
However, here's where science can help you, keep a detailed dream diary, note down everything you dream of, all 3-7 of them. Keep a detailed log. That way you can provide evidence that something has happened. That's science, documenting things and noting what happens. The most likely thing is you're focusing on the couple of times a year when you remember something from a dream, but with over a thousand dreams a year, one of them should fit something. Science has replaced almost every part of religion and psychic abilities demonstrating where they are wrong, science has never, ever been replaced by religion or psychic ability, only better science. Science doesn't have all the answers (yet) but at least it's asking questions and finding things out.

Kemi is certainly anti LGBT+ and there isn't any denying this. But he (David) doesn't make his statement because she is black, it is done because of her views and her position in government. And it would be correct to criticise her because of that.
However, what I find distasteful by her (Kemi) is that when a black woman does get abuse, she herself doesn't believe it to be racism despite the comment being specifically saying "hate all black women " to which Kemi response is "“we need to get to a place where we stop chasing people around and looking everywhere for the racism”.
Thank you for this, I could not put it better myself.

GP system does not work. The system was questionable some 40 years ago. But now, it's not fit for purpose and I think the torys have enjoyed making that happen.
How Dale is still on LBC is beyond me. I havent listened too him since Aug 2020 & only listened from April 2020.

You do know Isacc Newton was a pretty pious Christian right? As many early scientists (in Europe were). It makes sense as they were usually more educated and literate than the general population and where trying to understand more about what they believed was God's creation.

why are private schools in the UK that charge horrifically high fees called public schools? The word public would suggest open to everyone. What are schools that do not charge fees called?
I had to look it up but it is a state school. Government funded schools are state schools. Historically, the term "public" meant open to students from anywhere, not just a local area. They are fee-paying schools and are often called "independent schools" as well. Does my head in too.
@@ShowMeCrows thanks for the reply. We have public schools and private schools in Australia ironically both get government funding. The private schools charge on top up to $40-50000 per annum for day students, more for boarding and international students.
Theyy also get 25k a head from the goverment whilst state schools is about 7k a head work that one out

Same. I came to realise a couple of years ago that my mum didn't value education because of her experience of being (mis)labelled 'educationally subnormal'.
My cricket teacher at school was my dad's English teacher way back when, and he expressed regret at how he used excess corporal punishment on him. It was a lot to take in when trying to get my leg spin right. I understood why he didn't want me to go to that school.
If Tim is a Christian, why isn't his response to most of what Iain said "Christians believe homosexuality is a sin, it isn't about conforming to people around them, this belief is rooted deep in the text and rules of the religion."
Why does he flounder, and seemingly do anything but say this very obvious fact?

If you haven't noticed all the contradictions contained within the great book of guidance (i.e. not fact), then you haven't been paying very close attention.
For the same reason he doesn't object to women holding authority over men or keeps silent on the idea of buying his slaves from the heathen that surround him, as social moral reasoning increases most religious people drop the bits of their scripture that are foul and inhumane and quietly accept secular humanism in practice.

I relate to the lady who grew up in poverty so much. Me and my mum lived in a bedsit for a few years, i had to share a double bed with her. When i would have a sleepover at friends houses and they dropped me off, i would pretend that the whole house was ours. I knew i wasnt worth as much as other kids from a young age. I had problems at home with a warring family, alcholism, violence. In school i didnt try because i thought what was the point. I acted out, got into trouble, always classed as the "naughty kid" and thats all i thought i was. Now i have a 12 year old son and im in university. I still struggle so much, we live in a one bedroom flat. I struggle to afford the basics sometimes but i still strive to give him the opportunities that i didnt have and make sure he knows how much hes worth.
Sunak was always petulant. It just took time for people to realize it.

I'm a transgender woman living in rural Ireland. The cass report has come out and heavily endorsed by the Tories government by a very biased Doctor.
This has effected Irish Healthcare significantly. Trans healthcare in the UK is dreadful but in Ireland its 10 times worse. We have waitlists over 10 years and are asked incredibly inappropriate questions and now our NGS wants to reform our healthcare system using an equally outdated and regressive idea of trans people and trans healthcare.

I am sympathetic to your condition, but may I ask how you would like it to be addressed by the health services? This is an honest question. One of my best friends is a trans woman, and it took her 30 years to realise this.
@@andrewcarson5850 as with others in the LGBT community, education from an early age would no doubt help people better understand themselves. But many people somehow paint this as a bad thing..

I’m someone who believes that most things are nurture, not nature. I include sexuality in this. Though I don’t think it’s 100% nurture. For that reason, I think part of a reason why most people are straight is because it is the societal norm and what we see and understand to be what attraction looks like, from being a child. If, somehow, it was the other way around, I believe more homosexual people would be nurtured. There is nothing wrong with any form of adult attraction sexuality and I think the discussion is cheapened and not helped by saying that if you say it’s created through nurture that you are in some way scorning homosexuals. We are all the way we are through our experiences, our backgrounds, potentially any traumas and there is nothing wrong with that, it should be embraced.
On the lady’s call about poverty, I was brought up in very middle class household but my self confidence and self esteem was and is very low, my parents pretty much gave me the opposite.

She's had a similar experience to me aside from racism. I'm half Sudanese and as a child I think my dad was maybe 1 of 10 black people on the island of jersey. I went to a quasi public school where half was paid by the states of jersey. It was only boys from 7-16 but attached to the girls school. My father is a doctor whom achieved a scholarship to both Alexandria university as a civil engineer and later to Beijing to study medicine. My mother was from a wealthy European family and they met in Beijing where she was studying chinese. I'm 3rd cousin to Camilla parker bowles. I had scholarships due to my entrance exam results to both primary and secondary. I later broke the cats test in year 5 where I scored more correct answers in the time limit than was thought possible. I was advised by the headmaster to seek a school that could nurture my intelligence but I couldn't move away from my family due to mental disorders I suffer as a result of lariam - an anti malarial. I was attending extra curricular classes at the secondary school at the age of 9. I and my family were the only people of African origin at the time. Stature wise I'm now around 6:4 but I was always the tallest in my year.

Freud said that people were sexually polymorphic. Sexuality is fluid. If you put men together either in religious or military organisations and deny them acess to women they will be sexually active with each other but revert happily to heterosexuality when that becomes possible.
