This planner is pretty good. I have the B6 half planner for 2025 😊 i think it is fp friendly coz you’re supposed to be able to handle the muji fps 🤔thanks for sharing. Would love to know what you think at the end of the year 😊
@@PaperJoyPH That’s great! Thanks for sharing 🥰 This Muji planner is actually my Dad's, but I'll see what he thinks at the end of the year (he's tried Hobonichi too 😄)!
adore it! I used Monthly/Weekly (Horizontal) B6 this year and will be using the same for 2025. i love the simplicity of the planner and the paper. for the price point it's pretty worth it. hope your dad enjoys using it!
I love the Muji planners!! As you said, the font and printing is so crisp, minimal, and clean. I used the B6 horizontal all year in both 2023 and 2024. I'm a B6 and horizontal weekly girly and it's hard to find an affordable planner that fits both criteria (and has good paper!), so the Muji planners are so great for that. I would recommend these planners to anyone just starting out with planning (or even memory-keeping) because they're so simple, affordable and good quality. I don't live near any Muji stores, but even with the flat $10 CAD shipping it's very affordable (I would typically buy a few small stationery things alongside the planner as well, to kind of justify the shipping). The downside is that Muji doesn't announce when the dated planners are releasing for the year (as far as I can tell, anyway), so the last couple years I had to check their website every few days starting in October to make sure I didn't miss out. As another commenter mentioned, these planners tend to sell our fast online and then they get scalped on eBay, Etsy and other websites. However, Muji typically has undated planners in A5, A6, and B6 available throughout the year, so you can really start one of these planners anytime! I can't remember if they're usually available in all layouts undated, but I remember seeing the horizontal weekly and monthly planners available in undated. The only reason I'm not using a Muji planner again in 2025 is that I realized I really missed having daily logs. In 2024 I tried doing these and in a separate book combined with the Muji planner but it just wasn't the same. So in 2025 I'm going to use either a B6 Sterling Ink horizontal common planner or Papertessdesigns B6 yearly notebook, as both have a ton of blank pages for daily logs alongside the planning portion (yes, I haven't fully decided lol, I'm trying both out rn!). But both of these B6 horizontal planners are more than 4x the cost of a Muji planner. At the end of the day, if the Muji planners had more blank pages in the back I would go back to them in a heartbeat (yes I know they would get chunky but I don't care!!).
Arggg! Price gouging is the worst 😫 In Canada, we have brick and mortars, so thanks for sharing your insight-definitely something for people to keep in mind if they're looking to get one!
That 5mm grid would be great for someone who writes big letters. I think that it would be a nice planner for someone who wants a the Hobonichi Weeks of Traveler's Co horizontal layout in a bigger size.
I'm on my third year of Muji planner B6 size. I use it to track my meals and health overall. I recently bought the A5 to use as a work/project planner as well. I just love the paper quality, so smooth, off white and lays flat.
I use this as a companion to my main planner for documenting a riding/training plan for my horses. It was cheap enough that I felt comfortable cutting out the pages and punching holes for an A5 ring binder. It's working great, and way cheaper than paying for individual inserts!
That is such a great use! I always wanted to ride horses growing up 😊 I totally agree, when planners get super expensive, there is more fear around how it gets used. Thanks for sharing 💖
Wow! Your mom was ahead of the curb with this one 😇 I also love having pages as the back. I think if I ever bought this planner for myself, I'd need a supplementary notebook!
I’m using a B5 gray one! I love that it starts in December. I got lucky that even if the closest Muji to me closed (Scarborough), there is another in Markham (Ontario).
I just got my first Kinbori Weekly today. 🤗 The Muji planner looks very good! For me the problem is a high shipping cost from Muji Europe, but if I order a large order it might be worth it. 😁 Their loose paper and binders are supposed to be very good for fountain pens. I really like their minimalist look on their stationary and furniture, and I do like the Japandi style. 😇❤️🙏🙌🇸🇪
Ahh yes, I can see why shipping costs might dissuade you 😭 We have brick and mortar stores here in Canada which makes it much easier! They do have an amazing selection of items, so you're right, a large order might be worth it 😉
I had Diamine Marine bleeding through my 2025 Hobonichi weeks. It has worked with every other ink I have so far but now I know that I have to try my newly inked pen on my swatchpage before writing. Not sure what I am going to do for 2026. Will probably buy one discounted 2025 journal from another brand during spring so that I can try their paper before I buy the 2026 planner.
It’s the second year with this planner for me, I love it for work but always have to use a personal planner on the side as the pages in the end are just too few
I think they do! i have to say though that muji's "daily planner" has 2 days in one page. it's called the "monthly/weekly view-at-once" planner. maybe you can try searching their site for your country. they usually have sample pictures of the page. another youtuber also reviewed that planner so maybe you can search for that.

Hobonichi is sooo overated, ive been skipping the pwm videos featuring those planners for a while whithout even realising it. I completely agree with you. No shade to Hobonichi, but I feel like the quality has dropped 😬 I've never heard of Paperage, thanks for letting me know 🥰
Hobonichi did not make the cut for my 2025 planner layout. The paper just isn't what it used to be, and like you mentioned, at that price, it should perform better 😔 Muji also does international shipping if you're wondering 🥰
I need to start investigating the Muji website (no stores near me 😢). I have heard that Muji does vary their paper through different notebooks, some is better and more FP friendly than others. I have heard to look for the Muji paper made in Japan or Vietnam as the only way to tell that you’re getting the good FP friendly paper. I’ve never seen/used it personally, but this came from a fountain pen channel and they seem to know what they’re talking about! This is a really great planner for $11 US, amazing! Yes!!! The clear cover (not shiny…I need a non-shiny clear cover for my Sterling Ink A5 and A6 planners…anyone know of where I can get one?) is an amazing add on! You can then get any paper you like and put it in there and dress up/personalize your planner…do seasons, etc. I was at a big box craft store (Michaels…no, JoAnn) and their scrapbooking paper was on sale for 10 12in x 12in individual papers (you picked) for $4 or something dirt cheap. The paper is thick and nice and I got a lot of ones that I liked and can slide into the clear cover, or use in spreads, or whatever. Oh!!! I also saw that Kokuyo Business Paper (sold in reams, aka 500 sheets, like printer paper) in a bunch of different sizes is wonderfully good FP friendly paper for a very low price. Since I want to do a little bookbinding (it’s just punching some holes, folding and doing some very basic sewing…but, that’s a skill I actually have, lol) I could make a lot of notebooks with that also! Put that with a Muji planner, and you can have a daily journal for the year for under $20! On nice paper. Anyway, thanks for showing this, it’s really cool! Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year if you celebrate, and if not, enjoy the winter season!
Yes, I have heard that too! It's nice knowing that their planners are ones of the paper types that seems to be fp friendly 🤩 That is so cool that you do bookbinding! I think the Muji paper would be great for that also 😁 I do celebrate! Thank you so much, and Merry Christmas to you too 🎄💖

I have done cross stitch and needlepoint (and I knit, and the ends must be sewn) since I was a kid, so the sewing part is no big deal (it would be easy for anyone.) So, I’m going to take all of the signatures out of the Cousin, divide them up by the background grid color (if possible) and cut off the quote and the date, and then sew the signatures that are the same color grid into 5 or 6 oddball sized notebooks of nice TRP to use for Ink Swatch books, maybe gift a few of them? Heavy card stock is all that’s needed for a cover (or you could use whatever would work as a cover) decorate it if you like and now the paper can be used in a way that it isn’t going to be in it’s current form. Enjoy your holiday celebrations if there isn’t another video from you prior! We’ve got the Christmas smelling candles burning, the tree lit up, and most of the presents have been purchased, yay!!!
