Excellent doc with loads of information, but you did forget to mention his second short stint in prison after he was released the first time, and his meeting of his lovely wife
As an aside, something you have to understand about the media in the United States is that everything is a school shooting according to them. It doesn't matter if there was no actual gunmen and no actual gun, they'll still call it at school shooting. And I'm 100% serious. There was one random case a few years ago where a stray bullet from an unknown location just happened to hit the side of a school building. There was no gunman on site, there was no gun on site, no one was hurt or killed. But because it happened to be a school building, the media called it a school shooting. Don't take this shit seriously. It's all about ratings.
The podcast interview with Josh, moistcritikal and like 3 others was amazingly good. Listen to that. While it was a tasteless joke Josh did. The court system completely fucked him

This could've happened to anyone that's played an online video game in their life. Totally unfair to put this guy in prison for something people say in games all the time. Josh is truly inspiring.
I never understood how judges get away with living life without constant protection from violence. A judge used to live next to me and I always had this irrational fear that someone would come and vandalize his house or worse.
Six years is ridiculous, but it was beyond stupid to go into specifics about what youre going to get to shoot up a school. At a time like that he was just asking to get in trouble. Then he thought he could only get 7 months so he decided to taunt the judge? 6 years was too harsh, but he didn't make it any easier on himself. He got 6 years because his ego was so fragile he needed to stroke it in front of the judge.
Not knowing this dude before hand. I'm glad I heard about this. He made a threat he wasn't going to go through with, got punished, and became better. Dudes a model tbh.

(Sorry got a little political, but we all can't act like nothing happening and not say anything, we just need to fix the problems.) Well, eitherway great job on the documentary and my only problem was I wish it was longer cause it was really good. I hope you continue to make documentaries. You got a like and sub. Shout out for Josh going through a long sentence and not coming out insane, but better.
also they interviewed his ex girlfriend as if she was a reliable source and she said "oh yeah he likes too play with explosives blah blah blah" to ry and make him look bad.
@@nonstoinky4715 bunch of bullshit, he maybe deserved a slap on the wrist. Which he did not get but isn't bitter. Good dude. I spent a few bids in county about a year for 8 bags and my idiot public defender came up celebrating right in front of judge saying you're going home. They we're gonna give me 2 years house arrest. I'll take 6 months in county over doomed to fail house arrest. Oh and they say state is better call me a pussy but I'm sure it mostly isn't. I'd do my time If I deserved it anywhere, but I bet state is harder than county.
@@pladampa he did not even deserve a slap on the wrist my point is that his ex girlfriend is bad
@@nonstoinky4715 completely agree but out of what happened and what should have happened I'd take the lesser of two evils. The system had him set up from step one. You gotta love Josh for letting the past go and not even being more angry. Ty btw for the responses to my comments.
@@pladampa yeah I hope he can be happy eventually also just out of curiosity what is prison like, what percent of criminals are gang members, and where there any people who were actually successful criminally? p.s your welcome for thanking me that was nice of you
I remember when this happened, saw it on the news. Didn't know it happened through runescape
I've been interested in Columbine for years and years, I have a folder full of photos for research. It isn't right to prosecute someone for 1) Joking on a game 2) taking an interest in true crime.
So stupid, I feel for Josh.
Did we not watch the same video? He went into depth on how he was gonna do it.
@@stephen7690 “Lol I gotta grab clips and guns and molotovs man, can’t wait” isn’t exactly “in-depth” my dude.
great video crumb
They found a folder on his pc titiled "4chan"
ahhh jeez.
The hacker 4chan got to him too
-Not my porn folder.-
The hacker 4chan made that folder when they hacked me.
Yeah at that point "It's just a joke" isn't a legitimate defense.
If this were me, I'd probably destroy my life thinking of ways to exact revenge on the judge and prosecution while in prison, count of Monte Christo style.
Josh sent me, awesome video crumb!
Josh: loses 6 years of his life
Crumb: check out these figurines
Crumb you are a great story teller.
That shows you the justice system ,and how much of a joke it is. I feel so sorry for that poor guy ,and countless others who spend years in cages like animals ,tortured ,raped, stabbed ,over the most utterly ridiculous "crimes".....
Josh Pillault is a great dude. Seems like he learned a lot from prison
So good and informative. Love joshs content
Was his lawyer a total scam, or is it olny me? I dont know how he couldn't lower that 7 years, especially when he said 5:10
What a stupid whole ordeal, I hope that person that ratted on him feels extreme guilt for his actions, if he doesn't well then I hope he isn't very comfortable in life.
The court system completely fucked him
first 10 secs had me subscribe already , that editing
This is why we need a justice system reform
My jad figurine just arrived today thanks Crumb!!
Ps this story is pretty messed up. Never knew about it till today. Good vid man and Josh keep staying positive.
@bruceownsu because nothing else is available and its awesome anyway
This could've happened to anyone that's played an online video game in their life. Totally unfair to put this guy in prison for something people say in games all the time. Josh is truly inspiring.
It's like the perfect storm of bad circumstance.
I love his blink-182 shirt, I want one like that.
Dudes a model tbh.
josh is great. subbed to him on twitch and he always has such chill streams
this absolutely makes my blood boil
Josh brought me here
I seen a interview with him a few months ago, I think the interviwers guys name is Death, he be doing the 60 day reactions and other prison tips from his own experience
this is incredible
Great work put into the video, look forward to the next one.
Soon! :)
Amazing documentary
Except it’s missing the entire real story lmao dude left out the entire story of what really happened
@@leroybaxter2148 Like what?
Nice! Well made video with actual facts!
We gotta get Josh on "Fresh Out" with Big Herc!
Though the punishment was waaaay out of line but it doens't take away the huge red flags which is what his sentence is based upno
I've sure we've all thought about doing this to our schools. And even made threats about it
.... can’t say I have
Yeah no dude
Shit there was even days I would bring weopons to school waiting for a kid to piss me off.
Yeah...no 😂
Yikes
It’s really hard to watch this, every time I hear about him, it kind of hurts because I know the judge personally.
I am so dumbfounded by this incident to the point I want to Swallow a Chili pepper and swallowing Cinnamon without drinking water while answering a hard math ridle with a 10 minute timer. And also at night and while Putting shampoo on my hair and water.
Have to make an example of someone
@@youtubeSuckssNow 2 years ok... but 6???
I've been a fan for a while now but I've never commented before however I have to say your videos are extremely well put together. I'm a huge fan.
bro this guys going to be worth millions once they file suits for unjust sentences. Is this not classed as abuse of power?
Well he technically did threaten to kill people at his school. Which is most definitly an illegal threat.
@@Kryptomi he wasnt that young tho
@@z2d295 19 is 'not that young'??? now, i know the only person deciding that is you and you're probably like 20, but come on... your brain isnt even done growing at 19.
@ ye bro but most people at 19 dont larp about blowing up a school. its not a situation id find myself in for sure
New sub here !!! Great content bro fr

This is aweaome !!!!! You the man 💯✔👍
Appreciate that man!
@@Crumb hell yeah bro anytime man anytimeeee 💯💯✔💪👍 mad love & resepect from me to youfrom here in S Carolina man!!!
Have a good week 💪💪
Holy shit this was amazing.
Its too bad the video got ad limited :( youtube doesn't push ad limited videos so its not going to perform well
@bruceownsu doesen't help. Ad limited means youtube puts very little ads on the video, and they don't recommend the video to many people because they don't make as much money
This triggers me so much and i feel bad for this man, but glad he seems to have pulled through well.
I wonder where that player is now that reported him all those years ago. I wonder if he's proud of himself or regrets all of it
He'll probably be here in the comments at some point.
Why should he regret it? The player did nothing wrong! It is the justice system that failed.
Just think about how much regret the player would have, if the threat would have been real and he could have prevented it
