Flake is the keyboard member. He is high energy, so to help him stay active they got a treadmill for him.
I know the lead singer has his pyrotechnics license. He looks kind of dirty and greasy because he has the antiflame gel on his body.

My city only allows fireworks on 2 occasions. That's as much pyro as anyone's allowed usually. If Rammstein comes to town, they're given permits for their pyrotechnics

@@jenova625 That was pretty good. Even we Germans do not speak our language flawlessly. For example, instead of "schwierige Sprache" [difficult language] they say "schwere Sprache" [heavy language]. I also have to think for a moment because there is this incorrectly spoken saying, " Deutsche Sprache, schwere Sprache".
For real. I cannot speak German in a daily conversation type but when Rammstein comes on best believe I can belt every word fluently.
@Erik You are right. In the sense of "difficult", both words can be used. Personally, I try to use "schwierig" (difficult) in that context because I always associate "schwer" (heavy) with weight.

Facts
I've seen Rammstein in concert. They opened the pledge of allegiance tour with system of a down and slipknot.
He literally wore a flamethrower on his face, and would blow out 6+ foot flames. He had 2 flares on his chest, burning. .. one of the craziest things I've ever seen.

The phrase Du Hast means "You have" a very similar phrase Du Haast means you hate. So it is a play on words.
Du hast mich means You have me.
But Due Haast mich - You hate me.

Lead singer is a pyro expert in real life. They have much stricter laws in germany. Meaning he has to truly be one of the best. A lot of their vids have awesome pyrotechnics. Also, you're in luck bc they're finally allowed to play in the US again 😂
The lead singer actually got himself a qualification in pyro so that they can do all this live. I have been in the front row to see them twice, once I had my eyebrows singed off and people were passing out from the heat in the front row.
Love watching these videos and seeing people discover new music, warms my soul, great channel dude.

The lightning effect is added in post. The band sometimes says it’s real just to troll people who haven’t actually seen them live.

Rammstein is one the best bands I have seen, hands down. They are electrifying from beginning to end. If you want to go home with your mind blown, Rammstein is where it is at. They bring the pain and then some. Their theatrics brought me to my damn knees. THEY. BRING. IT. This is art. Art is going to to raise eyebrows. That's the point. They definitely do that.

I am 65 years old and I never tire of them. These guys do their pirotenics. Before doing this band they worked in demolition. I have seen them twice and I can't wait to see them again.

Yep, Til (main singer) is a pyrotechnician and when they did their first USA tour the firemen involved in the licenses had never seen such materials, the amount of fire and tech. Some shows were tuned down as the firemen didn't believe it would be safe......... how could they think that ;-)

I am SO with you on Till Lindemann looking like a villain in a scary movie. He's incredibly talented & creative, but something about him absolutely terrifies my inner wimp. Reading (if it's true) that one time he wanted to have a light inside his mouth for a special effect, & instead of doing what the FX guy wanted (run a wire along his cheek & into his mouth), he cut a hole in his cheek to decrease the chance of the wire being seen).
My reaction was exactly the same when the rockets started blazing across the stadium...still is every time I watch this.

I saw this band live in the Glasgow SECC back in the late 1990s, iirc. Still one of the best shows I've ever been to. They almost set the place on fire. Amazing.
This is one of my favorite songs, when this song came out back in the day I was like “yes thank you!” One more thing I wanna say is the way they captivate an audience is nothing short of spectacular. Imagine you’re that band on stage and this huge venue full of people and they’re all singing in unison and on key, I might add!
