Greetings from the UK. Sarah, the band members are some of the nicest, most fun loving people in the industry. Til especially is known for taking time to talk to fans, even on the street. He is a kind and thoughtful person. Rammstein are one of the best live bands, ever. They are an experience that you will never forget. Their look is like Kiss, just to be different from mainstream. Listen to more of their songs, watch more of their videos. Enjoy.
The sheer fact that Rammstein, a german band that almost exclusively performs their songs in german, gets to fill stadiums full of people singing their songs for them in France, the UK, the USA, etc is just so mind-boggling. Less than a century ago there was so much bad blood between those nations and look where we are now. Sure we have little jokes at the expenses of other nations but it's in good humor and while the internet has a few places that are really bad as a whole it just brought us more and more together as humans.
The lyrics are German wedding vows except they said no at the end of the vows. They played on the fact that the German words for "Have" and "Hate" are homophones. Du hast is you have. Du hasst is you hate.
If I've understood correctly (I don't know German), many Rammstein songs have the same logic; the words mean multiple things when pronounced even though "official" written words are not that bad.
@@MikkoRantalainen Correct. Dir En Grey does the same thing, but with Japanese. And also sometimes bending English to sound like Japanese, like in their song Tefutefu, Kyo says "arigato" but he annunciates it in a way that sounds like "I hate you" in English. There's also a Dir En Grey song where Kyo sings "hypodermic syringe" backwards.
In the last chorus he also sings: 'Willst du bis zum Tod der scheide/Scheide, treu Ihr sein für alle Tage' Which is also a fun homophone because either way the sentence has two different meanings: 'Do you want to be loyal to her until death will do you part?' or 'Do want to be loyal to her until the death of the vagina?'
i can confirm, if you're in the first 10 rows of a Rammstein gig you get very warm, amazing when you're there, Til is a trained and licensed pyrotechnician
Holy.... During the Song "mein Teil" i was standing near the Stage. And wenn Till does his thing...... You know what i mean, it was sooooo fu..... Hot. But it was soooo cool.
It's the other way round, the rest of the band begged "treadmill man" to join, and he refused at first. Then they told him that they would split if he would not join. So he did...
The singer is a fully licensed pyrotechnic who overseas all the pyrotechnics on set. What you see is amazing to see live. I saw them first time in London 20 years ago and it was just unforgettable. This band is iconic. You need to review more of their music
parts of the lyrics get lost in translation. "du hast mich"(you have me) is pronounced the same way as "du hasst mich"(you hate me), so it's playing with that double meaning
I've been at the very front and centre of the crowd on the barricade for a Rammstein show. The heat from the flamethrowers is intense, was shocked I still had my eyebrows after the show.
Seeing Rammstein live is amazing! The best show I've ever seen. They were the only band that played that night, and they played for like 2 and half hours! So much Pyro.
Flake is on that treadmill because he said he doesn't like to hang around on that stage doing nothing and - no reason to worry, Till (the singer) is a certified pyrotechnician
Till is an awesome lyricist. Thing is there are lots of double meanings in his songs. He is super talented. He also gets stage fright. I think a lot of his antics help him deal with it.
Don't know if you will read this more than a year later but the singer (Till Lindemann) is actually in private a very quiet introvert that will put on a stage persona to fit the performance. But he's really a huge, gigantic teddybear.
As far as I can remember, Flake was always nervious on stage, and started walking around. But because of the Pyrotechnics, it was to dangerious. And so, the treadmill was introduced.^^
I've seen them 3 times (2 outdoors, 1 indoor), and they fire that at every concert. There are actually some wires that drags the flares above the Crowd and back again (I don't know the details more than that). The Fireproof gel, is what makes them look dirty because a mixure of the gel, sweat and residue gives them the dirty/bloody look. Till Lindemann (you pronounced it correct), used to be on a short list for the Olympics, but fell short., and as you can see he have kept himself in shape. I do believe Rammstein & Sabaton looks somewhat familiar, the way Joakim/Till roll's the R's. They banging on the knee (Till did it because at one point he dislocated his kneecap during a show and he "hammered it back, and have continued to do that. The reason Flake (keyboard guy), is on a treadmill is because he have so much energy he cannot stand still, and with their crazy amount of fireworks, he cannot run around randomly on the stage, so the solution is a treadmill.
They indeed have wires, I believe the gun just shoots some flairs and other pyros are fired shortly after giving it the effect of one bullet from the crowd's perspective. At the other end new pyros are shot back and yet another set of pyros fire when they 'arrive' back at the stage to make the big explosive effect... so it's fairly save
@@TimedRevolver I think the suit keeps him insulated. By walking on the tradmill he is charging himself. It's like rubbing a balloon against your hair. But on a much grander scale :)
"Keyboard guy" Flake Lorenz is the same age than the others. He often plays "the butt of the joke" in their live shows and videos, but he's an incredibly nice guy and talented musician who brings so much more to the music than is visible in the live shows.
Rammstein has to be seen live, because they are a weapon there and the incredible crowd control is a trademark of them and no matter in which country they play, the audience sings in German like in Paris.🆒 The action with the fireworks did not even take place in a stadium but in a hall ( Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy ) and would be unthinkable in America due to their immense safety regulations. If they go on tour there, the fans miss out on a lot and will never get to see many effects ! By the way Til does this specific move, called "Til Hammer" cause he had dislocated his knee before a concert and repeatedly hit it in the backstage area to bring it back in. The other band members found this movement totally cool so that he he adopted it for the stage ! Apart from the fact that Til is a trained pyrotechnician, at Rammstein concerts a special stage worker is very close to the stage and is connected by a microphone to the person who controls the fire. He feels the temperature on his cheek and gives corresponding instructions whether you can still step it up a notch or the flames have to be reduced. Another pure madness with with the audience - ua-cam.com/video/fAaIFUXj4-8/v-deo.html At another concert Til greets his band members, who are carried back to the main stage in a rubber dinghy , with a "Welcome - Sign". A political statement for the refugees who have drowned by the thousands in the Mediterranean Sea. Please look at the live performance of "Ich will" - ua-cam.com/video/QkBPoGCPE04/v-deo.html - "Rock am Ring" is one of the biggest festival events in Germany. The Ring, which we say, is the legendary Formula 1 race track "Nürburgring"(The green hell), located in the middle of a central mountain of Germany, the "Volcano - Eifel". Rammstein was the Headliner and there are more than 85000 fans on the target line and I was right in the middle 😜 and not only the few thousand hardcore fans directly in front of the stage answer Til's questions, but actually the entire audience down to the last row and to have been there and to feel the concentrated energy of the audience was just indescribable ! At some point Ramstein discovered that you can make up with instant coffee. According to concentration, black to red spots appear, which looks like dirt or blood. Flake was hyper nervous all the time during an earlier tour. What did he forget ? That he was made up with lots of coffee in the evening during every concert - Maybe the reason why he needs a treadmill 😉 ? But without Flake Rammstein would never have been what they are. Again and again he is only moved into the nerd corner and underestimated enormously. What most people remember is only the treadmill he is running on while playing. Most of the Rammstein pieces are backed by a mostly inconspicuous but sometimes bombastically symphonic sound body combined with techno elements and so much more. It´s done so cleverly that it is hardly noticeable in the foreground. But if you take it out of the equation and mix it away at the mixer console, the rest sounds almost like any metal band. Together with the typical Rammstein monster guitar riffs the keyboards in the background fill up the entire sound, make things round, and not at least because of this Rammstein sound so unique ! Please check it out - ua-cam.com/video/IjGNTqAW58E/v-deo.html - ua-cam.com/video/jRxW5Vzeo0A/v-deo.html (here you can see Til flying) Exactly this concert in Germany took place about 20 km from where I lived and you could still hear it over a hill in between and see the light show flickering in the distance. You could clearly experience the sound level at which Rammstein are traveling 💥🤯 This melodic sound together with the unbelieveble power that Rammstein brings over is also to be seen here - ua-cam.com/video/Uq41Fmw5CGI/v-deo.html Totally whacky. Richard Kruspe tells the story in an interview on the DVD "In Amerika" released in 2015. First the police arrested Paul Landers off the stage and then one by one, the sound became thinner and thinner as the other band members were arrestet and at some point he put his guitar down and turned himself to the cops. For Rammstein, who had come together in the former GDR, the left dictatorial eastern part of divided Germany, America was in their imagination the "land of unlimited possibilities" in which you can do pretty much anything. After a night in jail they know that it was a really stupid idea to perform anything like that in a big city in the "Bible Belt" - ua-cam.com/video/pRXkDYTSAj4/v-deo.html - 😱😉 In Germany, this kind of thing doesn't upset (almost) anyone anymore - we're a little more relaxed there. Rammstein pieces are pure energy and if one can keep his butt still while listening, you should see a doctor as soon as possible 🤣
Yes Sarah at the Paris live Videos there are 30 Cameras - it was filmed for Cinema DVD ... with a professional Film Director and 2 Yrs post production and you are right with the 80´s Synth Sound (do you know the Band "Kraftwerk"?? I’m just here for the “is that a treadmill?” and “what’s he got in his hands?”🤣Flake (“treadmill guy”) has said he doesn’t like standing still. He has a “dance” that he does during weisses fleisch, and there’s more interesting moments of him for you. He and Til (singer) also often have a stage act that can range from lighting him on fire to til resting his head on Flake’s shoulder
I worked with the band back in 2005 and the pyro tech had the t-shirt wich had a print: "I work with the pyrotehnic, if you see me running -try to keep up..."
10:45 Actually it was the other way around. Flake the keyboarder was asked to be in the band but he didn't like the music in the beginning and he wasn't shure about the other guys. So for over a year it wasn't clear, if he would stay in the band.
Now you have gained a LITTLE insight. And your wife is right again, probably more than she herself suspects. Flake stands out from the others and he is the comic relief character of the band. In addition, he is always the victim in the performances. The big guys on the little ones, so to speak. Watch "Mein Teil" (my part) live and "Ich tue dir weh" (I hurt you) live madison square garden. You two will notice what I mean by that. You will have a lot of fun and of course be amazed. 14:40 Don't worry, no child will put together such a big stage at home and then blow it up. 😁
Therefore you can buy after a show of Rammstein a T-Shirt written on it: I survived a Rammstein concert. Rammstein is the best live band on earth by fare. No band in the world can compete with Rammstein when it comes to showmanship and pyrotechnics. I'm nealry 60 and I saw them all. Stones, ACDC, Queen, Metallica, Kiss, Iron Maiden, Manson, Slipknot and so on. They are all poor prescholars compared to rammstein when it comes to showmanship and pyrotechnics. But also the lyrics are deep and Rammstein riffs are very famous. In many movies you can listen to Rammstein Soundtracks: Matrix, in different Resident Evil movies, Hellboy, Mortal Kombat, Lost Highway, Nymphomaniac, xXx - Triple X with Vin Diesel, So High, Lilja 4-ever , Possession and so on. A Rammstein concert ist a life time experience, you will never forget. Even Kiss members begged for ear plugs, during a indoor Rammstein concert backstage. The music and the explosions were way too loud for them
@Necramonium ...without KISS there would be no Rammstein. lol. What a nonsense. And the world record for the loudest concert holds Manowar with 139 db. Do your research properly before you write nonsense
It's kind of sweet how you think about the tretmile-guy. Actually they wanted him to join the band and he took almost a year for his decision to join. So its the other way around :-)
Du hast mich, also means You have me / you got me……. You You have You got me You got me You asked me You asked me You asked me and I did not say anything Like in a proposal. There are many ways the song can be understood. So it’s far from lazy.
First off, that keyboard player is pure frickin gold! Also, I read that the singer was actually shy, so he got his pyrotechnics license, so people watched the fireworks!
Du hast live in Paris was crazy , I just watched it for the first time today and I think it’s incredible performance especially pyrotechnic wise , the flames and the fireworks
As you know Til is a licensed pyrotechnician. There was an incident occurred in I believed in 1996 when people gotten burned. Since then, band has a specialized crew of pyrotechs designed and build stage props. They worked with Til on displaying the props safely. All members of Rammstein are covered in fire proof gel for their protection. Flake The Keyboardist participate stunts with Til like with the song called Mein Teil. Warning: this song can be offensive for Sarah. Mein Teil in German means "My Part or My **** I have to censored myself. Song is about cannibalism. Based on a famous criminal case occurred in Germany. It is up to you watched and react to this song. Rammstein always sing about their country, Germany with historical or criminal events.
In case of Rammstein, precise translations of the lyrics is hard work (and sometimes not possible in subtitles), because they are playing many times with double meanings of words or slightly modify common German expressions and symbolic language pictures to invert or change their meanings. That is even used in the very simple lyrics of "Du hast". The first three words are "Du hast mich" (you have me) which at that moment doesn't make any sense in German. But it sounds (intentionally) the same as "Du hasst mich" (you hate me). Later in the song, the first three words are extended to a full sentence: "Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt." (You asked me and I did not answer.) And then, to show what he was asked, the chorus is a wedding vow: "Willst Du bis der Tod euch scheidet treu ihr sein für alle Tage?" (Do you want to be faithful to her for all days until death do us part?) This is answered first by a kind of female voice "Ja" (yes) and afterwards by Till's harsh voice "Nein!" (No!). These - plus a slightly obscene word play on the wedding vow, that I will not explain here - are the whole lyrics (repeated a few times).
Rammstein, to me, is like the musical embodiment of German expressionism. They have lots of horror imagery that they combine with techno and heavy metal. It's just very cool and unique. They also have a very wry sense of humor. I really enjoy the song "Amerika". It's so cheeky.
I've seen alot of metal bands live over the years and have seen rammstein twice and they were the best two shows I've ever seen and yes you feel every note played through your body for the whole show
Hola' Tuffnuts: First of all, Welcome to the Rammstein family...You're now ONE OF US! Till Lindemann: Lead Singer (Former German National Swimmer) Richard Z Kruspe: Lead Guitar (also the founding member of the band) Paul Landers: Rhythm Guitar Oliver Reidel: Bass Guitar (also the band's tallest member at 6'7") Christoph Schneider: Drums Christian "Flake" Lorenz: Keyboards I've been a fan since their inception in 1994 and have been to 18 of their concerts around the world. Rammstein fans are without a doubt some of the most rabid, dedicated and devoted fans this world has seen when it comes to music, if you have the chance to go to a show, GO, do not pass it up.
Was directing the band to the backstage on Roskilde Festival back in the dayes, sitting on Tills motorbike. He was so sweet! 🥰🥰 Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰🇩🇰 …and They performed the best concert that year!
They do it every show. The flares and rockets are fixed at wires. The live concerts are a big fire show. If you buy tickets, there is a special fire zone, you can book. IF you get tickets. The concert in Madison Square Garden was sold out in 20 minutes.
The text of the song is extremely ambiguous. The text is: "Du, du HAST, du HAST mich..." (You, you HAVE, you HAVE ... me) but in german this is pronounced exactly like "Du HASST mich!" (You HATE me!) The ambiguous part is: "Du HAST mich ... " and "Du HASST mich!" are both right at the same time in this song. Grammatically the 1st phrase cant stand alone. Its not a complete sentence. But the 2nd one is. So at the beginning the text is playing with this, cause he says "Du, du hast, du hast mich" several times untill he finally says the full sentence "Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt! (You have asked me and I sad nothing!) In the rest of the text you hear the Question he sad nothing to. Roughly translated: Will you swear to be faithfull to me, till death do us apart? His answer NEIN! (NO). So the beginning part can and should mean "You hate me" too, cause thats what someone would think and feel if his/her partner says no to their wedding vows, right? This text is a great example of the german language and what great lyricist can do with it. So small and nuanced... but still extremely powerfull in meaning!
Did you even notice the drummer wearing chainmail? Rammstein is known for its Pyros! Lead singer, Til Lindenmann is also a licensed Pyrotech Expert. Noticed that they are covered in gel. Gel protects the band from being burned. Reason for Til being licensed Pyrotech, there was an incident with some in the audience were burned from failed pyros in 1996. Til works with a crew of technicians make sure all pyros are safely designed. Fans of their shows can feel the heat from their pyros.
Till was a Olympic swimmer in the East German team. Got thrown out for fraternising with western swimmers. BTW the lightning is much enhanced, a real discharge like that would fry all ICs in the keyboard in a millisecond.
The lightning is real not a effect in post I saw it live in Oakland California awesome show if you ever get lucky enough to see live GO DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!.you won't be disappointed. They are the greatest live band on earth 🌎
I think it's funny she's not getting it at all. She seems like the kind of person that isn't impressed by this performance and show but loses her shit when the Black Eye Pees lipsync at the Super Bowl haha
They don't just play with the words "Du hast" (you have) or "Du hast mich" (you have me) which could be missunderstood as "Du hasst" (you hate) or "Du hasst mich" (you hate me): They also play with the order of a sentence, when they sing "Willst du bis zum Tod, der scheide, treu sein" (Do you want to be faithful until death, which separates). We germans don't hear the komma and will understand "Do you want to be faithful until the death of the vagina" (similarity of the verb "scheiden" - to separate and the noun "Scheide" - vagina).
Best live performance ever next to NW. And yes you have seen NOTHING yet 😂. Stay on live in Paris or Madison Square Garden. And if you want to blow your mind completly react to the song "Rammstein" live from St Petersburg VinZ Multicam. Starts at 2:02:00. The most insane Pyro ever!!!
The lightning effect from the keyboard player is real. It's easy to do, but there are fire risks with it. Of course, they are already fireproofed, so that makes it a lot easier. Look up "Tesla coils", that is the way to create these effects. Nothing is added in after effects, it's all live. Go to their shows and see it. :) And yes, Till has a side job working pyrotechnics. He is in charge of all the fire and pyrotechnics in all shows. He's fully licensed to do all that stuff, and keeps everyone safe as he shoots fire around them.
I don't know if anyone has already said it, but it was precisely Flake (the keyboard player) who put as a condition, for him to accept to join the band, that they only sing in German. So yes, Christian "Flake" Lorenz is very different, but he is the perfect match for Till. ah, and he is one of the composers. 😁
2019 at Rammstein double header, booth soldout with 75000, at Munich, Germany, after this song, the firebrigade had hundreds of calls about fire at the concert location.

It goes to show that the world has evolved
In the last chorus he also sings:
'Willst du bis zum Tod der scheide/Scheide, treu Ihr sein für alle Tage'
Which is also a fun homophone because either way the sentence has two different meanings:
'Do you want to be loyal to her until death will do you part?'
or
'Do want to be loyal to her until the death of the vagina?'
@@JackoBanon1 Sorry, but that is wrong. It‘s ˋbis zum Tod, der scheidet…´ which translates to: till death, that Parts/separates
@@JackoBanon1 Completely BS
i can confirm, if you're in the first 10 rows of a Rammstein gig you get very warm, amazing when you're there, Til is a trained and licensed pyrotechnician
Holy.... During the Song "mein Teil" i was standing near the Stage. And wenn Till does his thing...... You know what i mean, it was sooooo fu..... Hot.
But it was soooo cool.
It felt like a fucking oven but then I had beer sprayed all over us so it evened out.
There's a reason the space between General Admission and the stage is called the Feuer Zone when you buy tickets.
Hehe after my first Rammstein concert I was surprised to discover I still had eyebrows after the concert.
@@ANewSaga hopefully i can keep mine when they come to the US. 😂
It's the other way round, the rest of the band begged "treadmill man" to join, and he refused at first. Then they told him that they would split if he would not join. So he did...
I don't know about the split, but I know for sure that they had to beg him to join.
Flake told in an Interview a few years ago that he don't agreed to be a full-time member of the Band until today 😉
It kinda bugged me how she kept laughing at him tho
But that is the reaction he wants, so i guess its fine ^^
The singer is a fully licensed pyrotechnic who overseas all the pyrotechnics on set. What you see is amazing to see live. I saw them first time in London 20 years ago and it was just unforgettable. This band is iconic. You need to review more of their music
Roses are red,
violets are blue,
if I listen to RAMMSTEIN
my neighbours do too.
Thank you for that 😂
parts of the lyrics get lost in translation.
''Have you been on vacation lately !? You look so well tanned.'' ''Nope. Rammstein concert, first row, last saturday.''
Seeing Rammstein live is amazing! The best show I've ever seen. They were the only band that played that night, and they played for like 2 and half hours! So much Pyro.
For the most insane pyro show ever you have to check out their performance of "Sonne" (multicam) in Saint Petersburg 2019!
Till is a licensed pyrotechnician, which is why they can get away with such amazing pyrotechnics. I need to see this band live before I die.
The electricity coming from the keyboard is very real. Ever heard of Tesla? The scientist not the car. That's the reason he's on a treadmill.
Thought it was the suit.
@@TimedRevolver I think the suit keeps him insulated. By walking on the tradmill he is charging himself. It's like rubbing a balloon against your hair. But on a much grander scale :)
It's a special-effect added in post-processing. Watch any bootleg video of this show and you'll see there's no lightning.
Another pure madness with with the audience - ua-cam.com/video/fAaIFUXj4-8/v-deo.html
At another concert Til greets his band members, who are carried back to the main stage in a rubber dinghy , with a "Welcome - Sign".
Please check it out - ua-cam.com/video/IjGNTqAW58E/v-deo.html - ua-cam.com/video/jRxW5Vzeo0A/v-deo.html (here you can see Til flying)
Exactly this concert in Germany took place about 20 km from where I lived and you could still hear it over a hill in between and see the light show flickering in the distance. You could clearly experience the sound level at which Rammstein are traveling 💥🤯
This melodic sound together with the unbelieveble power that Rammstein brings over is also to be seen here - ua-cam.com/video/Uq41Fmw5CGI/v-deo.html
Totally whacky. After a night in jail they know that it was a really stupid idea to perform anything like that in a big city in the "Bible Belt" - ua-cam.com/video/pRXkDYTSAj4/v-deo.html - 😱😉
In Germany, this kind of thing doesn't upset (almost) anyone anymore - we're a little more relaxed there.
Rammstein pieces are pure energy and if one can keep his butt still while listening, you should see a doctor as soon as possible 🤣
Next step would be Rammstein - Sonne (2019 concert) - if you want even more fire.
Hall Owner: "How much Pyro will be there?"
Rammstein: "Yes!"
Hall Owner: "Yes?"
Rammstein: "Yes! We burn the whole place down!"
Yes Sarah at the Paris live Videos there are 30 Cameras - it was filmed for Cinema DVD ... with a professional Film Director and 2 Yrs post production
and you are right with the 80´s Synth Sound (do you know the Band "Kraftwerk"??
Flake didn't want to join the band at first he found the music boring
"Ich tu dir weh" live at Madison Square Garden you will love it
I’m just here for the “is that a treadmill?” and “what’s he got in his hands?”🤣Flake (“treadmill guy”) has said he doesn’t like standing still. He has a “dance” that he does during weisses fleisch, and there’s more interesting moments of him for you. He and Til (singer) also often have a stage act that can range from lighting him on fire to til resting his head on Flake’s shoulder
It actually takes a lot of skill and vocal control to sing like that. He's a master at it.
I worked with the band back in 2005 and the pyro tech had the t-shirt wich had a print:
"I work with the pyrotehnic, if you see me running -try to keep up..."
Till (the singer) has PhD in pyrotechnics so everything is allowed on their shows 😅
it´s pretty smart to link this to the 80ies. in the end, rammstein is a very very heavy pop-band.
For sure and don't forget their videos: Masterpieces (in my opinion) !
@Necramonium without Kiss no Rammstein?? hahahahahahahhaha ok ok.. I love Kiss too, it is just your comment that makes me LAUGH
The lightning IS legit. He's wearing a faraday suit and is controlling a Tesla coil using the keyboard effects.
Not in that concert. That was on an other stage in an other year. On that stage they made the Lightning in post process for the official video.
It's an added special effect. Watch any bootleg of this concert and you'll see that there is no lightning.
lightning is totally NOT legit, and yes I have seen this performed live, it's blatant post production
Great reaction, would be cool if you reacted to this one: Rammstein: Paris - Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen?
What's truly amazing about this performance is it's in Paris, with a crowd singing along to a German song, in German.
It's kind of sweet how you think about the tretmile-guy. Actually they wanted him to join the band and he took almost a year for his decision to join. So its the other way around :-)
"im hope you all deliver on those comments here" Till hold my flamethrower...
Yes, they are a little older... Till is 58 years old... youngest member is 49, I believe...
Rammstein live is something you never forget once you get to experience it🤯
Du hast mich, also means You have me / you got me……. You
You have
You got me
You got me
You asked me
You asked me
You asked me and I did not say anything
Like in a proposal. There are many ways the song can be understood. So it’s far from lazy.
Don't panic Tom and Sarah. Til is a real licensed pyrotechnician.
Well the funny thing is,they asked flake to join the band, and he still have not given an answer Hahaha 😂😂
USA: "We are the land of FREEDOM!!!"
Also USA: "No no no you can't do that here sir"
Rammstein is my fav to see live, and yes i did see nightwish
Yall gotta react to Ich Tu Der Weh from Madison Square Garden. Pyro is awesome
‘Du Hast’ in German actually means ‘You Have’. This song is possibly about questioning marriage, by the denial of the vows. 😄🤘
I was at their show in 2012. IT was terribly hot. I think i lost some hair there. 😂
Till Lindemann the lead singer is a pyrotechnic expert in real life
The electric Flashes are real. Highest Voltage but only some Milli-Ampere. Experiments like this you can see at Universities. ;)
The electricity is real, they have Tesla Coils on the stage, but yes it was edited to look better in post.
Not in that concert. That was on an other stage in an other year. On that stage they made the Lightning in post process for the official video.
Every du hast review that I’ve seen: “Is he on a treadmill?”
If you think this was cool, check out Remmstein - Remmstein Moscow 2019 the stage effects and pyrotehnics in that one are out of this world
Rammstein, to me, is like the musical embodiment of German expressionism. They have lots of horror imagery that they combine with techno and heavy metal. It's just very cool and unique. They also have a very wry sense of humor. I really enjoy the song "Amerika". It's so cheeky.
Deutschland kann nicht nur Oktoberfest wir können auch RAMMSTEIN .
The Singer is an certified Pyrotechnichen!! So Till knows what hes doing.
I've seen alot of metal bands live over the years and have seen rammstein twice and they were the best two shows I've ever seen and yes you feel every note played through your body for the whole show
this was filmed at two acclaimed Rammstein concerts, each in front of 17,000 spectators at the Bercy Arena in Paris.
Hola' Tuffnuts: First of all, Welcome to the Rammstein family...You're now ONE OF US!
Till Lindemann: Lead Singer (Former German National Swimmer)
Richard Z Kruspe: Lead Guitar (also the founding member of the band)
Paul Landers: Rhythm Guitar
Oliver Reidel: Bass Guitar (also the band's tallest member at 6'7")
Christoph Schneider: Drums
Christian "Flake" Lorenz: Keyboards
I've been a fan since their inception in 1994 and have been to 18 of their concerts around the world.
Rammstein fans are without a doubt some of the most rabid, dedicated and devoted fans this world has seen when it comes to music, if you have the chance to go to a show, GO, do not pass it up.
He's a certified pyrotechnitian, he does all the pyro for their sets, sets the timings down to the T for the music 👏 it's just insane 😂
More Rammstein Dudes 🤘🤘
Was directing the band to the backstage on Roskilde Festival back in the dayes, sitting on Tills motorbike. He was so sweet! 🥰🥰 Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰🇩🇰 …and They performed the best concert that year!
To see them live is incredible…Till and his pyrotechnics are freaking amazing… Flake is so fun to watch
Great!🔥🤘
Next react to Rammstein's "Feuer Frei" live!🔥🔥
They do it every show. The flares and rockets are fixed at wires. The live concerts are a big fire show. If you buy tickets, there is a special fire zone, you can book. IF you get tickets. The concert in Madison Square Garden was sold out in 20 minutes.
I watched the whole 2hrs 8mins of this concert last night and it’s insane Paris 2012. Prob the best live band to see for the show
The text of the song is extremely ambiguous. The text is:
"Du, du HAST, du HAST mich..." (You, you HAVE, you HAVE ... me) but in german this is pronounced exactly like "Du HASST mich!" (You HATE me!) The ambiguous part is: "Du HAST mich ...
"Ich tu dir weh" is a great Performance and a great show. The Lyrics are also much better.
Till was a Olympic swimmer in the East German team.
Got thrown out for fraternising with western swimmers.
BTW the lightning is much enhanced, a real discharge like that would fry all
ICs in the keyboard in a millisecond.
Check out Rammstein "Wiener Blut"
One of their best performances
The lightning is real not a effect in post I saw it live in Oakland California awesome show if you ever get lucky enough to see live GO DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!.you won't be disappointed. They are the greatest live band on earth 🌎
I think it's funny she's not getting it at all. She seems like the kind of person that isn't impressed by this performance and show but loses her shit when the Black Eye Pees lipsync at the Super Bowl haha
Yes, exactly! Go back and learn something about Rammstein Sarah. Till is a poet. There are two meanings, you hate/ you have. Go react to Sonne.
Great Reaction! Was waiting for you to do this song
They don't just play with the words "Du hast" (you have) or "Du hast mich" (you have me) which could be missunderstood as "Du hasst" (you hate) or "Du hasst mich" (you hate me):
They also play with the order of a sentence, when they sing "Willst du bis zum Tod, der scheide, treu sein" (Do you want to be faithful until death, which separates).
Visited Rammstein concert 3 Times ! It is exactly as it is! Epic
They've all been severely burned in shows, Till is actually a former Olympic swimmer for Germany
Your wife was right, Till is a trained a Pyrotechnician .
Rammstein formed in the mid '90s they've been recording since 1996.
Haven't seen that kind of German control over a French crowd since the 40's. ;-)
Ooooh.
And yes, Till has a side job working pyrotechnics.
“Is he on a treadmill?”
EVERY. TIME. 🤣
"Du Hast Mich" translates to "You have me".... So... It's a love song!!!
2019 at Rammstein double header, booth soldout with 75000, at Munich, Germany, after this song, the firebrigade had hundreds of calls about fire at the concert location.
Rammstein is very very great or maybe one of the best when it comes to shows :)
I personally think that Rammstein is one of those bands where its a good thing if you dont understand german. It IS for sure very very dark, BUT hey they aint the first and aint gonna be the last to get their emotions out like that :)
Every band member is now a certified pyrotechnician and has the safest show using fire on Earth. Pyro is also Manually Done !!!!
Your faces when the pyro starts were just priceless :)
Ive come across a few Rammstein (ram-sh-tine) reviews and this has by far been the best with the unedited reactions. Love it keep it up 🙌❤️
