What's rarely mentioned in reactions to this video: The concert was in Paris, France (they speak French over there *) and the crowd sang the refrain in German perfectly and loud enough to understand each word. That is dedication in the fan base and not only happened and happens in France but other countries as well.

  • @amygoodson-catlady

Christophe Schneider is a relentless and reliable drummer, built like a tank. He plays a custom DW Jazz Series kit, which gives Rammstein a signature sound. And for live shows, everything is mic'd perfectly!
Flake (pron: FLAW-Kawh) originally brought out the treadmill so he didn't look bored and awkward between his keyboard parts...now he can walk up to 17miles per show!
And the pyro is fucking insane! They are certified pyrotecnicians, all safe and shows are choreographed to the second. I'm seeing them for the 19th time in Sept.

The band is very involved. Till Lindemann (singer) is also a professional pyrotechnician. I’m seeing them in Cardiff next month but at the last moment when I was baying the ticket I chickened out of the Feuerzone (means fire zone and it’s the first few rolls), and I know someone who told me that she had to constantly check that she still has eyebrows and hair- it’s that hot. I can’t imagine how it is on stage. They even give people in the Feuerzone badges at exit saying : I survived the first roll of Rammstein.
They are going to America in September you need to go see them.

  • @michaelfinck7487

Therefore Rammstein is the best live band in the world by far in these days especially when it comes to showmanship, fire and pyro. Rammstein also uses fire and pyro in a very different way than any other band. Kiss are with their pyro-show poor preschoolars and only jumping around clows compared to Rammstein. If you also watch "Rammstein - Mein Teil (LIVE at Hurricane Festival 2013) | [Pro-Shot] HD 50fps" or "Rammstein - Engel (Live from Madison Square Garden)" or "Rammstein - Ich Tu Dir Weh (Live from Madison Square Garden)" you will better understand.
Rammstein deliberately avoids ridiculous video screens as far as possible. They consciously rely only on effects like fire from the primeval times of man. In the first rows you can feel the intense heat of their concerts and afterwards you can buy a t-shirt written on it: I survived Rammstein. Rammstein concerts are a lifetime experience, that you will never experience again. In any case, the Rammstein members try everything to "kill" themselves on stage every time. Only for their fans. Sometimes even airports and roads are closed around during a Rammstein stadium concert
Once a plane pilot asked the tower if he could land, he didn't know if a terrorist attack was taking place below him or if a chemical factory was on fire. The tower only answers Rammstein is in town and is giving a concert.
The red gel on their skin, often visible on Till the Leadsinger, is not blood, but fire protection gel. Sometimes it's blood or both together :-) Rammstein's music isn't simple either, it takes a long time to develop. It's like the teachers, only a good teacher can explain difficult things to you in simple words. That's how iRammstein's music works. The keyboard is an important element in order to create music that is easy to remember, even in metal, with melodies that you can't get out of your head. What use is an excellent guitarist jumping around clown who wants to show the whole world what artistic pieces he can achieve if no one remembers his crap due to the lack of melody. A mistake that many American metal bands make. And what many forget, that with Rammstein the text and the meaning behind it is also very, very important.
Americans who want to see Rammstein once in their lives may have their last chance to do so in America because Rammstein members will soon be turning 60. It starts in August. If you want the tour dates and tickets, look here: www.rammstein.de/de/tickets/ Get a ticket you won't regret it. It could be the last chance for many Americans to watch a big Stadium Rammstein Show in the US

Hi Tony! I am new to your channel and I already love your reactions! It´s always cool to se and hear people who has education and knowledge about what they speak about. It makes it very intresting to watch. About this reaction, The singer is also a licensed pyrotechnic so he makes all these crazy things himself.
If you like big live shows with a fanatic crowd I as a swede really have to suggest you react to our swedish metal kings Sabaton! Their song En livstid i krig / A lifetime of war from Gothenburg, Sweden witch was a part of their The Great Tour. It is a song about the 30 year war back in 1600s. All Sabatons songs are about war, heros and historical events. And this combination I think will suit you as a teacher very well. A history lesson told with awesome music! I have heard so many people that reacted to Sabaton that they wished they had been told about Sabaton in school because then the history lessons would have been awesome!.
The song En livstid i krig is in swedish so if you do a reaction remember to use captions. They also have a english version of this song but it is told from an outside view on the 30 year war while the swedish version is about the soldiers point of view. And some of the men that fought in this 30 year war was as young as 16 when they was enlisted and they fought this war their whole lives.
Sabaton also has their own history channel here on youtube where they go into the history behind every song they make. Very intresting stuff.
Well that is It really hope you could make a reaction to this and I am sure you will be suprised if you have not heard them before! Thanks for this reaction and keep doing more awesome reactions!
Oh almost forgot, The one thing I never would eat is the swedish Surströmming! It´s Fermented, rotten fish in a can! Smells like you could never even imagine, Im suprised It has not been classified as a chemical warfare weapon! There is lots of people on youtube tasting this so check it out!

Rammstein always have awesome videos, but their live shows are even beyond these.
    Here are some suggestions:
"Sonne" (Live at Download Festival 2016) --> Hot as the name giving sun (Sonne = Sun)
"Ich tu Dir weh" (Hurricane Festival / Rammstein Official) --> Great singing and insane stage action towards the end)
"Mein Teil" (Live Hurricane Festival 2013) --> Read the story behind the song (a real case of cannibalism!) first
„Willst Du das Bett in Flammen Sehn" (Paris Version) --> Pyro Fashion, power, everything that Rammstein stands for
"Benzin" (Madison Square Garden) --> Benzin = Gasoline --> burns well. And maybe also a man?
There are of course a lot more insane live videos of them: "Links 2,3,4", Engel, "Mann gegen Mann", "Mutter", "Feuer Frei", "Ich will", ... Have fun and rock on!
Paris is more a concert movie with post production and released as Directors Cut“.
You have to be aware that here a German band is playing in Paris / New York and the French / American audience is singing along in German. Music can unite! :-)
From their current album there are no official live videos so far. There are four videos out:
    „Zeit“ (time)
    „Angst“ (Fear)
    Zick Zack
    Dicke Titten (Big Boobs)
For me „Zeit“ and „Angst“ are real masterpieces regarding the videos, lyrics and songs.

Lots of fire at a Rammstein concert. Check out Engel or Feuer Frei for awesome visual. About the crowd participation... this is french people singing in german. Music connects.
If you want massive crowd singing check out another german band Blind Guardian and "The Bards Song" live at Wacken. That is amazing. They sing the whole song. It's coupled with the song "Valhalla" where the audience keep singing the chorus several minutes after the song finished.
I experienced a moment like this when I saw Metallica at Wembley about a decade ago. When they played "The Memory Remains" we all sang the wordless part, sung by Marianne Faithful on record, for a long time with the band just stood at the stage front just feeling the love!

I think I have been to about 5-6 Rammstein SHOWS!!
    Yes they are shows!!
First saw them on the good old Family values tour.
I saw an Interview the agent ( I suppose they still have the same one), and he supposedly told them in the beginning: we are going to do 2 things right from the start. You guy's will be in top physical condition AND ( way before being famous) we will put on a show that looks " like milllion dollars" and in the beginning the flamethrowers used to be hand-held on stage.
And look at the keyboard player.... he walks " in beat:!!!
And I have been both a roadie and worked in visual/special effects in films, and when you want to "shoot fireworks" you put a little loop(s) on them and tread it on a wire

Fun fact about pyroc techs : Under the stage there are 50 engeneers working with the sound and pyrcotechnics, and they are shouting at the band when the fire comes , so they couldn't get hurt

The tech team is the band itself. They are all certified and licensed pyrotechnicians, and on top of that Till Linderman, the lead singer, is also a certifierd and licensed artificer.
That means thet build, install, and use ALL their pyrotechnics themselves, witll all the famous german attention to details.
The ONLY thing added in post-prod in that video was the lightning effect on the keyboard ... and YES, the keyboardist walks/runs/dances for the whole duration of the concert, averaging at roughly 20 kilometers for each show, he's both the focal point and the counterpoint to the rest of the band.

There's also a "Du hast" live performance video from Madison Square Garden. But it does not seem to have those extensive pyrotechnics. They probably had to dial that down due to US fire regulations. So, if you want to see the real thing, you'll probably have to come to Europe ;)

30 yards from the stage and I was fried to a crisp 🔥 It's honestly very hard to keep your eyes open to watch the show with all that heat... I get that Till & co wear fire retardant gel, but how in the world he can breathe let alone sing in those conditions is beyond me

What you see on this video is pretty much a standard with the band. It's not just a one off. And they don't just do it on one song it's every song it's every song it's the whole concert. They are considered the most entertaining band in the world and you can see why. You don't even have to understand German to enjoy this music is this music I know German. They also have the best guitar rifts I think of anybody.

Rammstein is one of the bands I grew up with here in Germany. While their music is very accessible the lyrics often have a deep and multi layered meaning. And of course they know how to put up a show.
If you want to see another great crowd check out Blind Guardian - The Bards Song and Valhalla live at Wacken (ua-cam.com/video/i-IcX_bccFc/v-deo.html). I dare to say that crowd is even better.
And as my last statement: Go Hawks!

I for the longest time wondered why they always seemed to be covered in oil or whatever, a dirty look, to later find out they are covered in Pyro gel to keep from getting burnt by the pyrotechnics.

RAMMSTEIN Concerts and the energy there are one of a kind. When 60000+ humans shout DU HAST at the concerts gives you Goosebump. But it is not a classical dark Metal Athmosphere there, it is more a enjoy a funny, Rock Show with positive energy and amazing pyrotechnic and light show.

Hi Tony if you love that then you'll love Rammsteins Sonne live in Moscow 2019 so if you love fire 🔥 then you get fire 🔥 and the song fire fry. I've always loved the band since 1997 . it's amazing a German speaking band become one of the biggest Industrial metal bands around the world and sell out . I think it's a number of things their sound their stage presents and the music it's self. I find they captivating and weird but they manage to pull you in and their music videos are great as well you can see they put a lot work into the craft 💯 and they never fail to deliver.👍❤️🔥🥝🇳🇿

Well , they are Pyrotechnical trained and they stay cool in case of an accident as you can see here ( from 1996 ) ua-cam.com/video/CK1g7gwN-Ys/v-deo.html , the drummer only missed one beat , saw that it only burns and they will get it under control and continues to play . You can see the staff running with the fire extinguisher , the Band still plays while the Singer directs the Staff with the fire extinguisher , after the Fire is out he continues to sind the last part of the Song . There was no panic although it was indoors...
They make a good Show , thats why they are around since over 25 Years .
