- When you start up the first Mortal Kombat, one of the earliest animations preceding the title screen shows the fearsome Goro in action. Goro debuted as as a boss characer in the first Mortal Kombat game, A hulking monstrosity with four arms, Goro is a perfect introduction of the sort of villainous threat that typifies Mortal Kombat, though he is not a prominent villain and he is one of many different types. We'll explain more about this four-armed foe with our video on the Full Story of Goro.

They should've brought back everyone that was in 9. Past leaving out Ermac, Reptile, and Mileena, the roster is decent for the most part.
Goro is my favourite MK character. I loved him in the last MK game.he was in. The Storm collectibles figure is the coolest toy in my collection.
Maybe storm will release a Kintaro or god forbid a Sheeva figure. I am still hoping for a Shaolin Monks type of game featuring more of the Shokan and Outworld culture

I always hoped because Raiden went back in time that Goro would some how be in the new game. He was always one of my favorite MK characters. I'm still holding out for Reptile. (absolute all. Time favorite) fingers crossed he makes the cut.
Goro wasn’t present in the battle of Armageddon. There’s some characters that weren’t present in the fight as well
I want a remake of Shalone Monks or another game done like that. That game was so fun and such a good story mode.

did you notice how different they changed some of the characters stories from the original mk up to MK9?
like how at the end of mk1 shang's island collapses and goro is presumed dead and missing in action through kahn's tournament(mk2) and doesn't surface until mk4,yet in the new timeline(MK9)shang's island doesn't get destroyed and goro appears in Kahn's tournament alive and well.

So Goro is 9 times MK champion, but together with Kintaro loses to Kung Lao. Goro and Kintaro must have been very hungry and days without sleep watching over some expendable soldiers.

I would've liked a Shokan redemption arc. Goro seems like a "Necessary Evil" kinda guy. Baraka is a total asshole, but I feel like the Shokan should at least have a set tribe sector in outworld. They're like THE GUYS. Sad to see him as a corpse in MK11 background XD

Here's hoping Goro makes it into Mortal Kombat 11! Considering it's supposed to be a celebration of classic MK an iconic character like him makes perfect sense. Plus the game seems to be lacking in the big brutish monster department from what we know of the roster.Also I would like to see Goro become a good guy again like in the old timeline with it actually sticking this time.

Really its not two different continuity's because really they are just adding on to the Midway story's. Basically they went back through time to the point where it all started even though they did this all events have still happened and they are just trying to alter the future timeline along the way. Basically they just add on to the story and then continue with their version.

The problem I have with the Mortal Kombat storyline is that the villains that are supposed to be very over powering always lose to human fighters who do not have half the power of these characters. It gets annoying hearing after awhile how Goro or anybody as powerful as him having a losing streak against characters like Liu Kang who are simply Shaolin fighters that ate possibly 5'5 next to a giant shokan. They make jobbers out of good characters like Goro and Ermac.
That being said, I'm sure the reason I like Stryker as a character is because he is the most down to earth character out of all MK that doesn't rely on powers but only guns, his academy training and the use of his brains. Everybody is written way overboard for being human characters.

@Cringe_ King that seems lackluster. Why wouldn't dark Raiden do so? seems fitting for his demeanor, plus if he didn't wouldn't that just cause anarchy via never ending MK tournaments? Remind you half of Outworld/Netherrealm either don't age (age slowly) or are in some form immortal Thus they can wait for the right time (when their old) the only option would be to assassinate them in other words conquering. What other options would they have? And i doubt the Elder Gods would interfere on the matter twice. Even Edenia had temporarily been freed after losing 10 in the original TL theirs no rules against revolt.
@Cringe_ King i agree to a point your right Raiden doesn't have an interest to "invade" but his current demeanor says otherwise based off of his definition of "protection" being slightly altered and corrupted ex. Torturing Shinnok and scare tactics with Kitana and Liu Kang he really dosen't want to deal with them at all they have already practiced Democracy in MKX which to a large extent failed. With the time travel concept in place in MK11 this point may be skimmed over or addressed with him meeting his uncorrupted self thats yet to be seen but NetherRealm Studios has done a good job of cleaning up Midway's plot holes but with the immortality being a issue and revolt damn near expected being the "good guys" is a moot point. But as it seems Raiden is bound from prematurely doing so as Outworld is and this also still leads the possibility of armageddon becoming a reality. Im aware im theorizing but in some form their going to continue the games/comics and i doubt non-cannon sequels are on the table the only possibility would be to eliminate the threat and at this point nobody to my knowledge is Adverse to killing anyone their barely tolerant of the revenants.
