- Mortal Kombat is a franchise that is great for people who like ninjas. ...though the franchise certainly has much more than that going for it, including a robust story. Mortal Kombat shows that you can definitely never have too many ninjas, however. Amongst them is Smoke, who may not be as popular as big names as Scorpion or Sub-Zero, but in fact has been a part of the franchise since early on. Need to clear the air...or smoke, on Smoke? Mortal Kombat 11 DLC are a spit in the face. Some characters have nothing to do with MK in the first place. Sure we have, Frost, Shang Tsung and Nightwolf. And... Shao Khan... Who's so far theworst playable character in the game. I'm sure in the future we'll be getting more fighters from DC because yeah... That's a thing...

This is my number one reason for liking the Mortal Kombat series. There's just so much depth to the story compared to other fighting games

That outfit from Deception where Smoke is just a few pieces of armor held together by a body of smoke is probably the coolest outfit in all of Mortal Kombat

He's literally the only member of the Lin Kuei excluded.
Everything you mentioned is why he should be in MK11.

Smoke is awesome
This is what I enjoy about the reboot, it gave Smoke a greater more visible sense of purpose. As a kid I knew very little of Smoke outside of grey ninja and friend of Sub-Zero.
But here they give him so much more to make him unique and give him a chance to shine.
I want things like this to happen with some other blank slate characters in 4-6 like Kai, Sareena, Khaneleon, Jarek, Reiko, Tremor, so on.
I'm glad they're making something of Skarlet in MK11.
They did kinda make something of Tremor in MKX. Not much of a story, but fleshed him out to be more unique in his moveset and design

Most of the dialogue hints about him undergoing some sort of change and teasing the old school rumors

Soo I randomly googled "Czech characters in media" and after seeing some regular Czech made character like pat and mat, jára cimrman, the good soldier svejk or the little mole and then suddenly I see smoke and I got taken aback. As I Czech myself, I'm so glad to see a Czech character in my favourite game genre
Also just BTW. Tomáš (pronounced like tomaash) would be more correct for his name since that's how its written in Czech

Smoke has actually always been my favorite MK ninja, with Reptile being a close second, and even Ermac placing third back when he first hit the scene as yet another palette-swap of the blue and yellow poster-boys of the franchise. He's the only character I really play in MK9 (the series reboot from 2011), and he's my favorite configuration of Triborg in MKX. I REALLY wanna see him make a comeback in MK11, especially since there are so many options for skins, finishing moves, and other Kosmetic options for him between his three identities as a human, a Cyberized Lin Kuei, and even the demon, Enenra

Wait, wait,wait, so Smoke died, became a Aninra, his dead body posessed by his smoke demon that gave him powers, the Triborg the Android has powers of smoke because he's literally the combined biometric/mental metrics of previous lin quai and Kronkia could literally bring the original smoke back from the dead.

That last bit is a bit false. Triborg is only made from the hardware and data of the characters stored in Lin Kuei files.

Smoke is my second favourite character in MortalKombat my first Character being sub zero
In Midway's iteration: Everyone dies in an epic battle for power.
Netherelm's iteration: Everyone dies by freggin Syndel or by Raiden on accident. (like really wow).

You guys forgot to mention that in UMK3 you can use a button combination on Scorpions character select palette to use Human Smoke as a playable character.

Player One - At the Select you fighter screen, pick Smoke and press High Punch, High Kick, Block, Run, and hold away (left) with the joystick simultaneously until the match begins. Smoke will explode into the Human Smoke.
On the Arcade you selected Scorpion instead of Smoke to do it.
Sign a fucking petition to add Smoke, Noob and Ermac to be in the game(MK11 4 sure)! Real fans know it pretty well now.
