The thing that makes this song even sadder thing is, Aradia is MUCH younger than the other trolls, not even 6 sweeps, because she was killed far back before the trolls entered the session, appearently enough time for Terezi to learn how to taste colors and for Tavros to grow used to being in a wheelchair(Id say she'd be about 4 or 5 sweeps). She had no emotion, so when she finally did, she was probably struggling with emotions, mixing childish emotions she wanted to feel but couldn't because she was DEAD.

sadly, yes, and, even worse? people judge her for acting that way, when she *couldn't* experience the same things that the other trolls did. She went through the whole session without feeling. And then, when she became god tier, and tried her best to, quite literally 'live' up to her comrades, she often made people uncomfortable. Its the sad fate all Megidos' have and *will* experience.
Yeah. I really wish people would stop blaming Aradia for acting that way. I also really don't like when people think Aradia is a boring character, she's one of the most interesting characters in Homestuck for me. But oh well, just my opinion. Handmaid is also best ancestor imo.
yeah, its really not her fault at all. People usually only blossom over the more 'relevant' characters, like karkat, or gamzee, or vriska. Literally almost all charcters exept her and equius (both are really underrated characters, for what they both do). And yeah the handmaid was pretty awesome, too.
Agreed. Although, I believe that Aradia staying off to the side is actually genius. Since she is literally MADE of time, her staying off to the side could represent the looming threat of time for the kids and the trolls.

Yes but no it's not a canon voice. Like seriously people believe everything, in this one song about sollux (with prophet in the name), there are a bunch of times you can hear someone say "optic blast" and some other lines, everyone thought it was sollux's canon voice, but... uh... they were just sounds from a Marvel fighting game... Like, yeah, just because a voice is featured in a song doesn't mean it's canon, and unless Hussie officially says "this voice in this particular video is aradia's canon voice", then no, it ain't canon.
Uzuchihua Well, "technically", the only character with a canon voice is Lord English, who we hear bellowing a "Honk" in one of the flashes. However, the general consensus among fans is that this is what Aradia would sound like, same with John and the "How Do I Live" cover in Volume 5.

Funnily enough this is the only canonical voice of any of the characters be the troll, human, etc.

It hurt, because my brain couldn't deal with how awesome it was. I agree that lyrics wouldn't work for Homestuck usually, but, this song's catchy tune and great lyrics show that it CAN work. I love hearing lyrics on the band camp page as they give a deeper insight into the story and allow me to hear what these characters would sound like if they had voices. I was listening to this particular track yesterday and stopped everything I was doing to listen and understand the lyrics. I adore this fandom.

Truth be told I hear this song more of a final dungeon in a video game kind of song. The ticking of the clock followed by all the instruments slowly being added in. The tempo and rhythm of the song gives it a regal feel, so maybe the final raid of a palace. The lyrics itself can even be used to pin point the antagonist's point of view, perhaps someone who had attained the powers of god like powers, seen the future, and intends to stop it all by erasing it.... fuck it, gimme a pen, I'm writing this down!
