The thing that makes this song even sadder thing is, Aradia is MUCH younger than the other trolls, not even 6 sweeps, because she was killed far back before the trolls entered the session, appearently enough time for Terezi to learn how to taste colors and for Tavros to grow used to being in a wheelchair(Id say she'd be about 4 or 5 sweeps). She had no emotion, so when she finally did, she was probably struggling with emotions, mixing childish emotions she wanted to feel but couldn't because she was DEAD. >:[
sadly, yes, and, even worse? people judge her for acting that way, when she *couldn't* experience the same things that the other trolls did. She went through the whole session without feeling. And then, when she became god tier, and tried her best to, quite literally 'live' up to her comrades, she often made people uncomfortable. Its the sad fate all Megidos' have and *will* experience.
Yeah. I really wish people would stop blaming Aradia for acting that way. I also really don't like when people think Aradia is a boring character, she's one of the most interesting characters in Homestuck for me. But oh well, just my opinion. Handmaid is also best ancestor imo.
yeah, its really not her fault at all. People usually only blossom over the more 'relevant' characters, like karkat, or gamzee, or vriska. I always forget how much i love this song. I wrote the entire thing out on a drawing i did of aradia in high school, which I sadly lost during moving, but it means the lyrics are permanently burned into my brain. And i still love it so, so much 0u0

I have fond memories of Homestuck, so it's really upsetting and painful to see what Andrew and What Pumpkin have done to both fans and content creators.... I love hearing lyrics on the band camp page as they give a deeper insight into the story and allow me to hear what these characters would sound like if they had voices. i am not a homestuck. i have never read homestuck. when i was a kid, my sister did, and she would sing this a lot. she doesnt sing it anymore but the melody is forever etched into the back of my skull.

i am not a homestuck. i have never read homestuck. when i was a kid, my sister did, and she would sing this a lot. she doesnt sing it anymore but the melody is forever etched into the back of my skull.

This song (and the accompanying art for it on the bandcamp site) made me into an Aradia Fan. A -big- one. I'd completely ignored the pathos attached to her(as she'd been -robbed- of her emotions, it seems a tad more ironic... or perhaps the root cause thereof?), until I listened to this. Very well done!
