      I realize this is probably a silly question. But, strictly based on your own opinion, which would you say is more fun?
      Fighter or Force?

      @@shadowjudge921 IMO Fighter when I'm able to touch the boss is super fun for me, but in the long run 1000% Force. The latest update revealed compound techniques coming out and those look so freaking sick that I'm veeery excited for them. Hopefully the new PAs that drop sometime next month are going to spice up the classes more so I have more favorite classes LOL.
      BUT I'm also a Gunner main who's snorting copium that infinite richochet is going to be super fun.

    FI/GU Knuckle main here. I think same/another art skip attack need a raise. Knuckle 5th normal attack is extremely strong. I recommend using 2 set of combo.
    1. swift rush(fist half) + double drive(last half) + 4th&5th normal attack.
    2. double drive(last half) x 2 + 3rd to 5th normal attack.
    Pick GU as sub-class can increase your pp gain from those normal attack and maintain constant dps. You can also using rifle homing dart for AOE.
    Side note: A successful weapon action dodge will change your next normal attack to the 5th one and the effect will be kept upon usage. It means you can do two different PA and then unleash two 5th normal attack.

    Braver enthusiast here (yes i know the class is in a rough spot), taking braver as your sub class and building a multi weapon with katana and daggers allows you to have a very potent counter and also keep the moves of the dagger, and since the Brave Combat skill is usable on braver weapons, you can use it as well for PP recovery. the passives of braver are also very good for survivability, so thats an added bonus.

      Brave combat being fully available as a subclass is one of my favorite things about the class LOL. My main pre-retem was RaBr just because it gave me access to brave combat for free easy damage. I haven't actually tried out FiBr yet, but I definitely will once I get around to level Fighter again!

      @@everydere just got home and remembered I had a camo on my 2nd character from pso2 base I think called prafta drive soldier it's the closest thing I could resemble a stand for knuckles in NGS enjoy if you can buy it

      Thanks for the kind words! Also you're going to love the update that drops on October 13th! We're getting mission pass (this is a free battle pass system full of goodies), along with some balance changes! I believe Bouncer is also dropping as well in NGS on the 13th but you can 100% correct me since I haven't really looked into the release date LOL. Welcome to NGS and I hope you have a great time! I've waited for PSO2 to hit global for years after playing it a looong time ago in JP and I'm suuuper happy with the global release + NGS being available internationally along with being on parity with JP!

    I main twin daggers when fighting bosses especially since I have high mobility and can move around in the air and get to weak points plus acceleration drive helps with gap closing. Also the foursis twin daggers are great.

      Yeah twin daggers are really sick flying around! Also the uptime you get on weak points with twin daggers is ridiculous + the counter is pretty generous as well

    When I got this game a few weeks ago I gravitated to the fighter class for 2 reasons, one is the ultra-close combat, and 2, I loved the thought of punching your enemies to dust. But after playing for a while, I tried out the twin daggers and the double saber, and found that I love the sabers more (just a tad bit more than knuckles). This guide is really good for new players and even for me, as I have little idea on the depth of this class. Thank you so much for putting this here!

      Thank you so much! When I played the CBT, it was a huuuge toss up between Gunner and Fighter for my main cause they're both really sick LOL. Double Sabers became my preferred choice in the full release for Fighter, and I realllllly hope the next NGS headline reveals some more skills for Double Saber + Knuckle. If you haven't seen part 1, TL;DR when you use your weapon action on Twin Daggers, you'll be able to instantly acceleration drive.

    In addition to better PP recovery, Gunner also offers AOE in the form of the Aimless Rain PA, and with Force you naturally get access to both techs and Talises, which are an excellent AOE weapon in their own right with their own rapid-fire AOE PA that channels tech elements also helps inflict that Downed state due to elemental damage procs (Which is especially handy when the MPA suddenly starts getting surrounded in Gororon bellies during a PSE).

      Yup! Aimless Rain is surprsingly good even without chain boost/trigger, especially on Fighter where you may want more active PP recovery. And yeah causing elemental down states easier via talis, is super beneficial!

      I can 100% confirm, I get that EXACT same dopamine boost when you land the double sway. That and when you time weave your PAs perfectly inbetween counters is just such a large dopamine hit LOL.

      Too bad knuckle counter got nerfed hard. 2nd counter no longer gives +50% dmg from the 1st counter.

      @@unbroken7780 its not written, back in cbt i had 1179 br, 1st counter crits 607, 2nd counter is 1009. That's on the weak point.
      Now its both 600 for 1st and 2nd on weak point . Using klauz knucks.

      @@rijinn727 ooh okay. I'm new to pso2 so I never played the CBT. Well it makes sense knowing now. I thought it did a lot of dmg before I was aware of this information lol. Funny to know it did even more at some point. I just started playing pso2 base a bit just to see what's up since NGS was cool to play through. You think Katana's counter will be as strong or stronger when it releases? I'm assuming katana will come out when Braver also drops later since I've noticed Braver has access to a Katana in pso2 base.

    Note on Double Saber: Whenever you Photon Blast, you also fully charge whirlwind.
    So if you want to deal disgusting amounts of damage on a downed boss, you should:
    Deadly Archer -> DS Photon Blast -> Deadly Archer

    great overlook on fighter.. 1 thing i like to pointout as i play fighter only with doublesaber and it has probably the most and longest skills ever. like deadly archer+photon blast+deadly archer repeat is like 9 sec . Also, unchained circle is also a on demand if you think you have no photon blast or whirlwind build up but youre gonna get hit by a big aoe, for example nex vera enrage explosion.

      Whoa I did not know that about Unchained Circle! Is it the first half or second half of the PA that's iFrame? Usually I've been just using the weapon action + weapon action special counter for that suuuper long , but Unchained Circle having s is a huge game changer that I never even thought to test! Also Thank you so much for sharing! Learning new tech is always entertaining for me, since there's so much depth to MMOs along with people specializing in different things!

      @@everydere the first half when the saber spins around you, so if fighter have skip arts be mindful to apply directional input to get the . I found that out in PSE burst, where i just stand in the middle of thousand mobs and no1 can touch me, then tried it on nex vera and it works. Just have to time it properly. Cheers!

    Side note: The First part of unchained circle has Gaurd Frames for the duration that the Saber is flying around you before coming back to you're hand.
    I've so far only use this on Nex Vera's god Damm Tri-beam

      From what I've seen it's not Guard Frames, it's s for the entire duration. I've stood right in giant hits from multiple bosses and took no damage at all if my saber was spinning around me.

    Little thing I've noticed with Knuckle Fighter PAs. Using the second half of Swift Rush will push you back a little bit, but if you skip arts into Double Drive, you'll move back into position. Also, if you do two skip arts back to back with the right skills allocated, you'll go into the last hits of your basic combo, which are the stronger hits anyways. I'd almost suggest to go with Swift Rush (skip), Double Drive (skip), regular attack, then Thousand Blows (skip) if you can manage it. Just be mindful that Thousand Blows does hold you in place, so you need to commit to it.
    Speaking of Thousand Blows, the non-skip version is your best AoE. If you have a small group of enemies in front of you, popping this may be your best bet in clearing as many as possible. Also, if one of the enemies is stronger than the other, try to aim your uppercut towards them.

      Thanks for sharing your knuckle rotations! I ended up doing the same thing with Swift Rush + Double drive especially after viewing the DPS/Frame Data sheet for it. Skip Arts is something A LOT of people end up sleeping on, but it's pretty much essential to learn and use for Hunter+Fighter since it adds a crapton of extra damage + PP restoration. (DPS/Framedata Link: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1YEg-6eViChVV7HDDlNlgFPJf3qbyIUeAlLYPr9b99t0/edit#gid=197243299)
      I kinda wonder if Fighter Knuckles in the future will get quake howling back as a dedicated AoE button, since it'd be the icing on the cake for me on Knuckles LOL.

    Knuckles rotation is Standing TB -> Standing TB -> Normal attack 3,4,5. Requires Gunner sub in order to cycle properly.

    FI/FO with Overload + PP convert for spaming julen dance art1 on UQ bosses while they on break state are the best dps burst right now IMO

      I heavily agree with this, with Julien Dance's first half not being nerfed yet. Spamming the first half is most likely the highest DPS possible. There is another commenter who suggested doing skip arts quick gash (the lingering tornado) into julien dance repeatedly which I definitely need to try out. It shouuld work to be really high DPS since you can do julien dance during the tornado, and the tornado comes out nearly instantly too!
      Also PP convert is ridiculously good, I love every time people find a new way to abuse it LOL. Thank you for sharing your FiFo strat by the way! There's always people out there who don't know about cool class combos so it's always nice to see how people use their combos!

    I just picked up NGS as my first MMO and Fighter was the class I was drawn to just because I play Smash and in a way the Fighter feels kinda like a 3D Smash Bros character and it’s a lot of fun. Tho I will have to improve my dodging, as getting hit even once is scary, I think this is probably a really good class for me. The Knuckles are extremely satisfying to use, I feel like a friggin DBZ or Jojo character just beating things up and it’s great.

      BoFi/FiBo is also sick if you haven't tried it! My guides aren't updated yet for Retem, but BoFi/FiBo lets you use Jetboots+Knuckles to practically go full martial arts and it's FUN. The best part too is if you specialize more on the JB side of BoFi, you're able to instantly down mobs/bosses due to JB's elementals and then wreck them hard.
      The only downside to this setup if you do JB+Knuckles, is we don't have base PSO2 levels of augments yet to get a full crazy hybrid setup. But I think next update or the update after, we should finally be able to comfortably specialize in 2 weapon attacks.

    Something worth mentioning is that all knuckle PAs have guard frames at the beginning of the second part as well as the beginning of the 5th normal, and the unchained circle has 360 guard during the first part (before your DS return to you), and the backflip in quick gash also has guard frame, pretty nice if you got caught with your pants off in some weird situation. A good subclass for fi is fo because you can use talis for mobbing, and PP conversion is always good for a PP hungry class like fi.

I learned about the unchained circle 360 from another comment, but assumed knuckles had some sort of /guard frame from how they were performing in areas where I definitely should have been hit. I think the more this knowledge spreads the better since Fighter is a class with ridiculous depth to it! Also FiFo is one of my favorite combos, well force is one of my favorite subclasses, due to PP convert allowing some nutty PP dumping.

      @@everydere if i have to pick a downside of fi it would be that the foursis and vialto series fi weapons are not really aiding the strong suit of fighter but resurgir weapons also don’t really fit the fighter playstyle imo. But I guess that’s more or less a common problem with all classes due to the lack of weapon (potential) choices

      @@XDD50Hz Yup the Straga series offers a Knuckle+Sword combo for FiHu and really high damage but -10% DR (offset if you have another Hu subclass tree that's max flash guard). But the other series really do not play well with Fi's strengths that its kinda awk. Hopefully when we see the new 3* elemental potentials (Coming in the anniversary event), we can see if those will change up anything since elemental weakness is a 1.2x multiplier and ALL seasonal enemies will be weak to lightning weapons during the event. Overall, I think the weapon issue will be better as time goes on and we get more series that just have ALL weapons availble to them ala Resurgir. Atleast i hope LOL

      @@everydere weapon choice would definitely be less of a problem as time goes on, but atm I don’t really think there is a “definitive” pick for fighter weapons. not that resurgir is not powerful, but the potential just doesn’t play well with fi, since fi is more of a bossing class, and combining with the fact that a lot of bosses are big enemies with weakspots in the air, and that sidestepping will forcefully drop you down from the air, I personally think that managing the resurgir potential will be quite a hassle during boss fights. But that just circles back to the beginning that it’s just we don’t have too many choices in weapons, lololololol

    So I've got 2 fighter loadout. One general purpose and one for uq. My uq setup is knuckle+dagger multi on fi/fo for the big boy dps. My field loadout is fi/Hu for the double saber+wired multi, to do a bit more aoe when trash mobs show up. But that loadout still also uses the knuckle daggers as well.

      @@everydere agreed. And when we get jet boots back imma multi those on my knuckles. I will be maximum brawler. Especially if jet boots help me with air mobility. I already don't care how good the numbers on that setup are.

    Im a fifo using wired daggers. Pretty much im playing attack on titan. Foursis got both wired lance and daggers and i dont even have to be hunter just to use wire weapon action.

      I did the same thing but went resurgir route with a fixa fatale on it, I figured since dps is so high why not go all in for crit rate! Wired dagger is so fun though, since I sub hunter I also have access to the alternate weapon actions too haha

    I prefer fi/gu because as a fighter you will use normal attack a lot especially with twin daggers. mobbing isn't very an issue because you can use rifle
    fi/fo has amazing mobbing ability now because of lightning,wind & dark tech combined with pp recovery per kill. If you wanna go for multi-weapon talis' weapon action also helps a lot with pp recovery. but it's still pretty risky because pp conversion also drains your hp.

    Been a DS lover since base PSO2. The other two are also fun but DS is just so elegant. I’m happy they’re doing something with the bug on JD, DS has always been about constant damage output rather than spamming 1 strong hit. I think even if they just reduce the damage on the first hit, DS is still up there as one of the highest DPS weapons.

      Honestly I agree Double Saber has really grown on me in NGS (I really liked the weapon in PSO2 but I was just awful at it). For the JD nerf, I think SEGA will probably tweak the numbers to be more towards the second half since it's "unsafe" due to having to stand still for all the hits, leaving the first half as more of a gap closer. I honestly was surprised when I first touched DS and immediately julien dance's first half was hitting too hard LOL. And I also agree, even after the JD nerf if they actually just reduce the potency overall, Double Saber's sustain damage imo is king. Plus who doesn't love throwing a sick deadly archer as well! Thankies for sharing how you feel about double saber by the way! I love reading how people like their main weapons!

      @@everydere thanks for the reply! Though I don’t really count as a beginner, i enjoy your guides a lot and watch all of them :)
      Btw, I don’t really know the optimal combo for DS as I usually just play by feeling, but when bosses are down I like to loop Quick Gash (2nd half only) + Julian (full if repositioning needed and 2nd half only otherwise, though currently I do the full PA anyways due to the 1st hit being so strong). Not sure if skipped QG or skipped UC does more damage, but they’re both really fast, and QG actually makes the player rise a little, making it easier to maintain height in aerial situations.

Also I'm not sure about the optimal combo for DS as well, I've been experimenting but with Julien Dance being confirmed to be a bug, it's hard to put my finger on what exactly is optimal. Also I'm definitely going to test out your rotation tomorrow to see how it works! It sounds extremely good and might actually be the most optimal rotation honestly (especially when 1st half of julien dance is nerfed).

    More info,fighter knuckles weapon action parry also does an extra attack when you press normal attack which also has enhanced damage as well as I frames
    Twin daggers...pressing a normal attack after a weapon action parry will immediately teleport you to the enemy,I tested it out on long range attack dolls and I can literally teleport across the map provided you locked onto the enemy......
    Twin sabers-spam Julien dance and spam normals after weapon action counters for the highest DPS and they still haven't properly nerfed the uppercut of Julien dance yet and it's the top s plus tier class currently in the game so don't stop

      Yup I agree with everything you've said! Fighter is definitely the S++++ Tier in this game currently from how much damage it outputs. Honestly even after the Julien Dance nerf, I don't think Fighter will even budge from it's top spot as the best Single Target DPS in the game.

      But dont forget that Julien first part is bugged and deal much more damage than intended. When fixed i expect Dual saber damage to drop a bit compared to the other weapons to compensate its much better aoes (Daggers aoe is virtually non existant literally unless clustered like crazy and Knuckles only has thousand blows part)

      Yup! I love Gunner as a sub for a lot of classes as well, the active PP recovery is always nice. Force I've recently started using as well after a lot of people started suggesting it on my previous video. Also you are correct! Gunner's Rifle is really underrated on FiGu, it gives you access to a very good and fast spammable AoE!

      @@everydere fifo talis is also good aoe and pp regen from weapon action, if you mix fighter weapon with a talis you can use talis weapon action that stays even if youre using fighter atks.

    With knuckles, you can get straight to the uppercut if you don't press any directional buttons. That is the highest possible damage you can deal to a downed enemy asides from your PA. Plus you look like Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter.

    I mainly play ranger/fighter or fighter/ranger (depends on how im feeling that day). For the most part im in perfect range for the rifle when fighting or im using darts to kill adds quickly. When the bigger mobs/boss is left i typically switch to double sabers or daggers depending on the type of mobility I want/need. Daityl Axe/sword I use double sabers and go for them toes :P Nex Vera I normally stay at rifle range until it goes down however, I'm dumb and decide to float around with daggers and be a pest.

    Got hooked in hard to ranger/force, to the point I just made a new character to play techer/fighter. Kinda reminds me of my monk in dungeon fighter online. Priest for heals and buffs, and putting the weapons away to beat my enemies into the ground like a boxer.

    I thought Knuckles has the most iFrames or something like that infinity punch (Demsey roll barrage like skill)
    Also, how does counter work for Knuckles is it like those Souls game where you perfectly time the attack landing or when they hit you during the animation?(Like fiora in LoL)

      So the counter for knuckle works by entering it slightly before the attack connects, it's definitely no where near the strictness of the soulsborne series so you can be really lenient with the input. Once you land the counter, press the weapon action again to do a special knuckle counter on top of it! Hope that answers your question!

      Yes, this is true. Knuckle fighters can perform a double counter and an extra 2 attacks (4th and 5th blow of a normal attack string) when using weapon action on a single tick of damage an enemy deals to you, allowing you to avoid 3-4 seconds of damage (granted that you got the passive knuckle skills).
      However, most bosses have attacks that deal ONE tick of damage over a certain duration of time (say for instance, the spin attack of a Nogleth). This is why sometimes, when a weapon action is timed perfectly, instead of performing 2 counterattacks, you perform 3. Hence, increasing the time that your character is invulnerable, giving the Knuckle mains more iFrames. This can even be spammed - I tried it with the breath attack of the 3-headed dragon, placing myself on the center of all 3 heads making me invulnerable for 8-10 seconds due to spamming weapon action.
      I do hope that there will be a class soon that has a passive skill that increases counterattack damage, or instead of a class, having any existing class have it upon increasing level/skill point limit. When this happens, Knuckle with multi-weapon of Wired Lance and Double Saber will have no flaws at all.

    Been loving your guides! Been using twin Dagger with multiweapon TMG for the TMG aoe. The TMG weapon action also gives great mobility when low on pp.

    For me twin daggers are for flying targets or mobs that have high weak points. High mobility and air combat, you don't need to get back to earth at all. Knuckles are counter town, and you can do 2 counter atacks from one counter that's the longest invulnerability widow in the game and you can have it on demand. Twinswords are just DPS option for me.

      @@Zanbatoss I haven't tested it, but I did experience it, if I had to guess what's going on I would say that your character hit box going up while doing the move, dodges some atacks, since sometimes I get hit on the normal 5th one and sometimes I'm not.

    Swift rush final hit can be canceled by either swaying or just hitting it again to chain he heavy 1-2 punch. You could dash instead of sway to cancel but sway strikes so you have more dps doing that which is the only thing fighter has going for it so why dodge when you can sway? Double guns can also fix the ape issues, bonus points if you can mix it into fists so you can outright replace swift rush since most of the time I find myself using rush to Zoe as it has the least cost for the most cleave. You can also spam running attack for more cleave but this is more of a stop-gap for clearing trash that dies in one or two running attacks.

      @@everydere yup, you can be a true boxer. 1-2 avoid hit and counter. I do not see a lot of knuckle mains pretty much every time I run bursts and alerts I am the only one just punching things. Though I do use partisan to charge burst since that multi-thrust can be held indefinitely until you run out and does more damage for less energy than the flurry of blows.
      Side note on swift rush: it knocks over the rolling enemies with the leap-back hit if it doesn't just kill them outright leaving them easy to finish. That hit also has a decent cleave so it is what I use when I am too lazy to swap weapons for more aoe.

    for knuckles user, thousand blows is the worst PA for dps due to long animation. the best damage is 2nd half of the double drive, with force sub class you can spam this while the monster being down which is nut, i deal 1.6k on broken boss per PA with extremely short animation.
    2nd half of swift rush+2nd half of double drives+5th attacks, thats the best rotation to maintain dps. whiile the boss is downed, i prefer spamming 2nd half double drive until my pp goes out and the recover it with my 5th attack while my convert pp skills from force class is active so i can spam the PA and deals insane amount of damage.

    High dps, fast melee is always my main, and double saber just satisfies my headcanon fully.
    In terms of a gap-closer, until I can single out a multi-weapon I want to go with, I find holding TRIANGLE (strong attack) as a good substitue. You perform a dash-into-uppercut with double saber that's at least triple distance homing of normal photon dash.

      Fighter's definitely the perfect fit for you! You might also enjoy Braver when it comes out in August too! Braver focuses on super high DPS, fast speed, and lots of countering! But instead of Double Sabers/Knuckles/Twin Daggers, it uses a Katana+Bow instead! And with NGS' multi weapon setups, you could end up doing cool stuff like Katana + Fighter wep!

      @@everydere I actually had to use my Skill Reset Pass due to having messed up my skill points experimenting, but thanks to Yuberz I realized that Ranger can have it's cake and eat it too. 1 point in everything and the rest on the Status skills. Although I haven't Multi-Wpn yet, Rifle/Launcher do work amazingly well solo and paired up. It's everything a tactician could dream of when it comes to support and firepower for those High DPS Artillery freaks. I am sure you will have a literal blast with Ra/Fo.

Another class that has its cake and eats it too is Gunner, You can ignore spread shot additions on Gunner to just get 10/10 PP Recovery + 2/10 Overwhelm, since TMGs are pretty versatile. Also I am 100% one of those High DPS Artillery freaks LOL! The audio feedback+huge explosions from Launchers just makes me want to Fear Eraser/Multi-Hit everything that moves.

      @@everydere here's a cool button combo I follow that often nets me the Fear Eraser Extend, with full PP gauge, chuck a sticky grenade, if it lands, buffer Fallen Impact, then follow up with either a normal attack or a charged one and while in the down time for the normal/charge atk buffer Fear Laser and hold, this should set you up for the grenade to explode while firing the laser, which recharges your PP gauge to MAX while firing thy laser. If fallen impact's reticle is within range then your Fear Laser should be able to hit as well. I have around 111 PP and eat for 10% Potency, -5.5% PP Consumption and 12% PP Recovery Speed which makes it all the more likely for me to just sit back and hold down the attack for maximum damage.
      It's a long setup, but with proper timing and against the right enemies, one can spam this very easily with the Sticky Recharge Timer of 30 second, which sometimes I even exceed those 30 seconds firing Fear Eraser.

I managed to get it down 70-80% of the time by guessing, but didn't have a way to consistently do it! Knowing that's the timing makes it super easy now! Time to delete all the mobs with my laser now LOL

      Twin Daggers are freaking greaaaaaaaat and one of the coolest weapons in the game. When this video was made, double saber's julien dance was completely imbalanced LOL and it was hillarious cause all we did on fighter was spam it. Now IMO i recommend people to pick up twin daggers cause it's legit one of the coolest of the three.

    I played around with all the different classes at the start of NGS, and ended up on Gunner, then Fighter. Specifically knuckles. I enjoy just the ability o just stick to enemies like glue, and *always* be aggressive. Twin Daggers are great, but a bit too spastically fast for my taste, and Dual Saber will likely be amazing when it gets a PA that I really, really enjoy.
    Tips I'd give for knuckles though... For AoE, chain the first part of Thousand Blows for tightly clumped groups of enemies. Its not going to hit like a Force spamming Refoie, or a Gunner doing their crazy flip spin, but it hits a decent block in front of you. Downside, its PP intensive, but chain 2, then auto attack for the strongest part of your combo, before doing it some more when you can. Its a decent chunk of damage in a decent AoE.
    Other than that, just the bread and butter I've come to do is just chaining Skip Arts Double Drive. The repositioning aspect of Swift Rush puts you too far back to combo into anything really, and the half second delay on hitting the Shoryuken and the uppercut's lingering hurts the skill a bit too much I find. Double Drive only takes about a second when skipped, does two chunky hits, and immediately frees you up to go right into a weapon counter, or continue attacking to keep on the damage, and the same weapon combo skip means you can Double Drive->Double Drive->then just go into your combo at the third stage, while generally not moving an inch, and having immediate parry capability for long periods of being able to just stay offensive.

      @@everydere Yeah, Force is super fun when you're the one just pelting with spells, and get that special Technique only down, its just...mwah. Or trivializing the Goro- enemies by freezing their stomachs. They're probably the class I can say you most *feel* when they're around. And Braver was my main for a long time in PSO2 (Before Hero), so I'm definitely looking forward to it also!

    i vouch for adding a wired lancer multi weapon to all your melee weapons its great, its a steep 200k to do it so you may want to watch out not overdoing it but you dont need hunter subclass to be able to use its weapon action, i only happened to notice it a few days ago as nobody even mentions this so its probably not even common knowledge

      Yup! It's really not common knowledge at all, I learned about it from a comment on one of my earlier videos. Super big game changer but more importantly SUPER big QoL being able to zip around using WL's weapon action! Thankies for sharing to help spread it! Also did you know about the multi-wep talis that's spreading around? You can Multi-wep talis, pop the weapon action up and it gives you PP regen to keep spamming your attacks (I found out about this on the Ranger video I made from a comment).

      @@SunValiTV Ohh luckily for male fashion on NGS, it's always super cheap! Also in terms of subclasses it's really hard to choose and definitely needs to be experimented with imo. I find FiHu to be the most versatile due to having access to Hunter's kit while being a Fighter. But if I really want to let it rip with Fi weapons specifically, the PP management from Force or Gunner helps out if you're using a weapon like Twin Daggers which can go from full pp to 0 nearly immediately.

      @@SunValiTV Yeah I heard we're getting Oracle Renewal Scratches soon in Global which will give us some really nice Male Fashion (Director Suit + Kannagi Uniforms + more). Until then, the only NGS outfit I really like was from the Soldier line which is what I'm wearing. I did buy the suits though since they were on average like 10k.
      Also! I hope you're able to get the 4* twin daggers you want. The mobility on Twin Daggers is freaking amazing + it feels really fluid imo once you get all of it down!

    I personally play Fi/Hu with twin daggers only cause i find the rapid pace of the combat and the ability to stick on to a moving weak point incredibly satisfying. I also personally feel that Hunter makes a great subclass due to the fact that i use Resurgir Daggers and i dont always properly time all of my dodges lol. I never seem to be lacking PP either simply due to how insanely fast the normal attacks are.

      Ohh I love Fi Hu! Specially with twin daggers only keeping uptime and flying around never ever gets boring! Also Flash Guard really is such a huge help and honestly, I might buy a second skill tree just to have a 10/10 Flashguard Hu sub. Massive Hunter as well is ridiculously great too for when you miss a dodge. Glad you're having tons of fun in new genesis!

    I actually miss having Heartless Impact and Pendulum Combo (aka Dempsey Roll) like in original PSO2 for knuckles.
    But the 2nd and last frame of the shoryuken portion of the thousand blows actually makes you invulnerable to attacks which is great.

      @@rijinn727 you only get damage at the start of the animation. At the middle and right at the end of the uppercut you take no damage. The reason I know is because it's happened to me. Hence why when I see or know the enemy is about to attack I try to sway as soon as possible instead of letting the thousand blows continue. I've taken a direct hit from Daityl Sword's chest laser right in the middle of the Shoryuken and it took no damage.

    Fighter main, but I haven't quite specialized since I play both twin daggers and double saber (sorry knuckles). My twin daggers are multiweaponed with wired lance for maximum aerial shenanigans while the DS I use more when I'm on the ground for just general damage and amazing counters. I'm surprised you didn't mention DS's counters since they feel like some of the strongest in the game and interestingly you actually have two options (you can counter with either a normal attack or weapon action and they're both different).
    Thinking about multiweaponing the DS with a talis actually. There are some interesting things you can do with that, like just dropping the tali weapon action periodically for some extra DOT. And if you sublcass force you of course get all the AoE options. Plus they're both vialto so it's convenient.

      Ohh you're right I forgot to mention how powerful DS counters are, they travel reallllllllly far, have insane iFrame, and the weapon action counter is ridiculous in damage. Also I've tried out that multiweapon DS+Talis combo on vialto, and it's some nutty infinite PP shenanigans from the weapon action, along with some pretty fre damage. I highly recommend it!

    If you're Fighter then I believe that Gunner or Force is the best sub-class because of the PP management. I mean Hunter is good but if you're a Fighter (specially a Knuckle Fighter) then you better be evading everything in your path. I strongly believe that's the best way to play Fighter, just like full counter Braver in Based PSO2.

      I agree, Fighter's huge benefit is that as you get better at the game, you have less reliance on fail safes like flash guard, which allows you to completely destroy everything in the game using your counters. Also I'm very excited for Braver's drop in August! I really love counter style gameplay so I hope SEGA goes all in on Braver being a counter class for NGS!

    Knuckle's animation lock on the 5th attack pissed me off so much to the point where I just play double saber now. No animation lock.

      I was reading around apparently the 5th Attack had some sort of on it, so I need to test it. But I agree, the animation lock + the knockback on Swift Rush makes knuckles sometimes feel clunky. I did hear about some people using Knuck+Double Saber multi-weapons to completely destroy everything in the game though, so I'll probably check that out too LOL

      @@everydere I believe the Iframe is while you're in the air or just before the leap - most enemies tend to sneak in damage after this. The uppercut(the is only from the pause before the uppercut) from thousand blows and the 5th normal are 2 points where I take the most damage from because cannot sway counter during them.

      I think you can still use your weapon action during the 5th attack because I'm fairly certain I've managed to trigger a counter while in the middle of the animation a few times.

    I use catteleya knuckles/sword multi and it makes up for lack of aoe. I love your suggestions though, will definitely try the wired lance knuckles on the resurgir series. Keep the content coming.

      Thankies! Also you make like this, the newest Straga Series (from Gigantix) has Knuckle+Sword on top of it! If you want to go full berserker mode, the potential gives you the highest possible %-tage damage, but the trade off is you get -10% DR! This means you can combo those two weapons and go for a full on high DPS showdown at the cost of being one shot

    Absolutely loving Twin Daggers. Levelled Resurgir but it can be tough to maintain the crit uptime as you're rarely on the ground, takes some micro considerations and possibly downtime in dps overall. However, managed to land a Vialto Saber with lvl5 Fixa last night so desperate go try and level it to check it's potential - Julien Dance nerf permitting. Seem to struggle getting the level 2 whirlwind sometimes, putting it down to my mechanics though

      YOOO Congratulations on that Level 5 Fixa! That is some insane luck you have there! Also Whirlwind level 2, I'm not really sure how to trigger it optimally, so I hope someone in the comments can break down how to do it fast, that way we can continuously pop Deadly Archers 24/7!

      Ive noticed that there seems to be a cd on stackin the whirlwind. Im getting more consistant 2nd wind from using julien. And any skill then julien again. I could be wrong mind you but it seems to be stackin more consistantly

    At the moment i am multi weping doublesaber/ knuckles. Using both weps together is providing me with gap closing, s , high dmg and mobility....down side is i gotta figure out air combat some more. Im lovin fighter tho. I keep swaping back and forth on force and gunner for sub class.

      My combo for my multi wep is short julien - swift rush short repeat.. Swift has a on the explosive fist part it seems. The damage is good and the back jump of swift sets me up to do short juilen again with out it randomly flying away from where i target...also it lets 2nd wind stack fast

    Twin dagger fi/fo here
    Hunter is a really good subclass overall but its also really good for learning fighter, it makes it way more forgiving.
    Love the fast pace and style of the twin daggers the most. Anyone reading this who is considering the class, he is NOT kidding when he says that single target damage is nasty, I find myself taking aggro even against non downed bosses just by using CB. The last hit especially is unholy.

      Fighter's single target damage is so freakin goood and I love that it's a class that just goes ALL IN on single target DPS LOL. I'm kinda wondering tbh how Braver will end up competing against Fighter once it drops, since Braver is imo SEGA's favorite kid from all the years of PSO2. But honestly with the way NGS works especially with downed states, I don't even think Fighter will ever really fall off from the top of being king of single target.

      It looks like overlapping ripper part 2 right into Buzzard part 2 deals about 13 less dps than just spamming it by itself, but it does save a little more than 1.5 seconds when it comes to dumping my whole bar, so it may actually be worth it because of PP Conversion. That's if 13 isn't a massive loss.
      ...unless I'm reading this wrong in which case I'll take my complimentary L to go lmao 🤡

    i use fighter main with gunner sub. knuckles for single target, rifle with the multi-lock for fodder and when a target is too far away for me to jump to (like when pettas vera floats into the air. yes, i could use the updrafters to reach him, but he has a ton of flying projectiles that i cant really pay attention to if i do that)

      Yup Rifle's homing darts really helps out AoE on Fighter especially since you don't have to do much damage to kill trash mobs, just enough to hit all of them. Also using it on pettas vera floats is a nice idea! Sometimes I forget I have the rifle option and just awkwardly fly using the updrafters, but sometimes he's a liiiiiiittle too far from an updrafter and that's where a long ranged option would really shine! Thanks for sharing your class combo!

    i prefer dual saber.. dual blade basic attacks sometimes get off target especiallly with the leap. knuckles has so much mobility on its moves that i actually think its hurts it as trying to hit a certain part gets harder..
    i think the best dps is actually spamming first part of julien dance as the one hit hits harder and since its one hit you can pull of some nice dps. though it will take alot of PP

      Yup double saber is really awesome and the attacks are super sick! Deadly Archer lets you really let it rip. And you are correct, currently the best DPS is spamming the first part of Julien Dance, but it is a confirmed bug by SEGA so it's going to be adjusted relatively soon. IMO, I don't think Fighter weapons will fall apart by having julien dance be nerfed, and will stay pretty strong for single target DPS

The total nerf was 990 potency to 780 potency on Julien Dance, with a shift towards the second half of Julien Dance I believe (someone can 100% correct me on this, because I'm not completely sure). So this leaves Double Sabers as still completely usable and not in a bad spot at at all!

    Well...I wouldn't say that all 3 weapons do the same. Knuckles cal do a significant amount of damage when you can snap an enemy with counterattacks constantly. Otherwise double saber or daggers will be better. Double saber is no doubt the most strong weapon in the game when it comes to break phases, and daggers are great to fight with flying or very tall enemies. So if you ask me, what weapon you should use on hunter, I will say: EVERYONE. Use all of them and swap it in every needed moment, so fighter can shine even more. (And this makes more interesting gameplay)

      Thanks for making an update for new viewers! I haven't put out my updated class guides out yet so it really helps out others! (Bo/Br/Retem + the buffs/nerfs all happened after this got uploaded)
      Yeah Defeat PP Recovery turned useless reaaaaal quick once Bo dropped + more fighter rotations got mapped out. FiBo too btw makes the Hu subclass kinda more useless since you can use SB for your AoE needs which is reallllllll nice. IMO I think FiBo is probably the #1 combo i'd recommend to players nowadays once they have a feel for the class, on top of having access to techs LOL. FiGu I could see if someone reallly likes homing bullet since it did get buffed, but we still don't have enough unit slots + augments to warrant doing a full hybrid affix vs solo damage (+ gets more costly doing hybrid too). Also spread shot on Gu is scuffed now since Ranger gets the version that makes it hit AoE, so it realllly pushes more FiBo.

    Saber when i wana mow the lawn =D(Aoe)! i dont think saber is for single target imo.
    as fun as the game is it feelz like barely a skeleton of the old version. having so few skills and enemies makes me quite sad.
    can't wait till next year if the populations stays up.
    as a fist main it seem long chain counters seems to have far more dps then any photon art in our arsenal.

      Best part is we have the actual Kirito weapon camos, and I'm 100% going to use it on Katana LOL. Also Twin Daggers + WL is such a match made in heaven for Fighter since it meshes so damn well. On top of that, if you run FiHu, you're able to just yeet everything that exists when you're grinding.

      Sure! iFrame stands for "Invulnerability Frames" these are times where you're unable to be damaged by performing a move. So basically, you just don't take any damage when you perform a move
      (Example: Double Saber+Knuckle if you use the weapon action right before you're about to be hit, You'll perform a parry. When you hit the weapon action again, you will perform a second move that has "iFrames" because you will not be damaged while doing it).

    Ranger/Fighter is the best for me .
    Ranger : Good AoE , safe defense parameter , Blight Rounds for everyone

      Yeah that's a big issue atm with the game since it is fresh (Imo I treat the game like an open beta right now). We MIGHT see some more useful drops around Braver's drop with Defense Quests + Bouncer's drop later on. But as it is right now our gear is pretty much stagnated which is normal for early lifes of MMORPGs. In terms of PAs, we might not even get PAs for winter which imo would be pretty bad unless the class skills can really make the classes feel fresh around that time.

    Having tried all 3 weapons for a fair time I settled on daggers as they offer more freedom, more small wacky shits to pull than other 2. On top of that I hate dagger PAs with passion, I wish they were more like knuckles', but I hate that sway doesn't interrupt PAs : (
    My sub to go is a Fo as with the spammy nature of daggers when the burst phase arrives you're gonna have like half the pp at best and Fo active means you can spam your damage combo as much as you want until buff runs out. CD and duration are also the same as overload.

      I actually wish sega let us profit off normal skip arts even if you used acceleration drive. That would be a buff but I have a feeling that they do least damage out of Fi weapons anyway. Maybe that's only because both others have really strong bugs though

    What augments do I go for?

      For highest DPS possible, max out melee potency as much as possible. In terms of how much you should invest into your units and weapons, I'd sayy stick to what is in your budget for both but focus on getting +40 units/Max out your weapon due to the difficulty of Gigantrix at the moment. But don't go too wild because we do have Defense Quests dropping in August along with Braver, so you might find that you like Katanas and Bows over Fighter at that point in time. (To future proof yourself for Braver, if you want to use Katana, I would suggest focusing on Melee Weapon Potency).
      I hope that helps answer your question!

      *Cattleya* - for balance and safe bet as it gives both HP and PP
      *Qualde Armor* - PA spam or outside Fo & Gu sub as it gives you huge PP
      *Vialt* - for bigger HP and if you main a Cattleya weapon series (currently only knuckles) as it'll boost your power the more HP you have
      *Geant Armor* - High Risk High Reward Professional Fighter Use only (OwO)

      I use might 2 or 3, forms soul 2, magnus note, and alt secreta 2(this can be switched with dread 2). Having these augments on my armors and weapon gave me +33 on melee attack

      When this video was made at the start of NGS, Julien Dance was HEAVILY overtuned and was brought down. With Retem's drop, Double Sabers have become even easier to use along with the other weapons. The BIIIIIG change which i've been waiting for before making more focused videos drops April-ish (New PAs).

      Hi Hi! The camo is called "* Plasma Hands" you can get it from the OG PSO2 Personal Shops! It also works on Wired Lances (these look sick, my hunter video has them being used), and Twin Machineguns as well!

    this is just my opinion. Spiral drive is not that good, since saber have area damage on PA. Deadly Archer is mandatory to take, cause you can get lvl 2 whirlwind so easly with julien dance. Take saber parry another counter if you using vialto saber, take saber parry counter if you using resugir saber (same way with knuckle and twin daggers). All skip arts is optional. might take figther skip arts and another arts skip attack FI combo for knuckle and Twin Daggers. If you use saber, make sure the defeat PP recovery have 5 point at least, so you can spam Julien Dance even more.

      It should work perfectly, wired lance is pretty much a solid pick to multi onto anything even if you're not using hunter in your combination. You can still use the weapon action to launch yourself towards weak points on stuff like FiGu/FiFo!

      I use foursis Twin dagger, so i needed a foursis wire to combine them.
      If ur asking where i found them, its in resol forest.

    What would be a good combination weapon with knuckles, any subclass

      A super popular combo I've seen (since Fighter benefits a lot from active PP recovery), is Gunner which also allows you to use TMG's Aimless rain for AoE clearing. But during burst phases 1-2 normals will regen your PP to full (Skip Arts on knuckles will do this perfectly), thanks to Gunner's Active PP Recovery.
      For your gunner skill tree just do:
      1/10 Overwhelm (Do not invest more than 1/10)
      10/10 PP recovery
      1 Point into everything but spread shot skills.

    I don’t get what the Acceleration Dive is supossed to do ? I didn’t put any point on it , cause i didn’t catch how it works , and what exactly move i have to do ?

      Hi Hi! Sorry my comment keeps getitng deleted due to a youtube glitch. Acceleration drive on Twin Daggers is used to keep your uptime on the boss with Twin Daggers, by pressing the normal attack after doing ANY twin dagger PA, you will dash towards where you're targetted, giving you insane amounts of mobility. Helzeus coat can only travel horizontally while Acceleration Drive can travel vertically+Horizontally! Hope that helps you out!

    Thousand blows can skip to the uppercut if you don’t hit directional (choosing the skill) so you can don the uppercut and pp dump. I’m getting 600~ on downed and 350~ on non downed. It’s pretty disgusting. 1444 bp. Not sure how to counter though. I just dodge and get the audible. Oh well.

      Yup the uppercut on thousand blows is REALLLL nutty damage, by far one of my favorite parts of fighter's kit (I mostly lean more towards knuckles vs DS)

      @@everydere yeah when their broken and down it hits for 1k each uppercut. But I can’t tell when that’s gonna be so it’s hard to pp dump. Usually I have a couple and then I’ve gotta build it up again. My PP will allow 4 right now. Then back to building.

      Yup! I actually would recommend it honestly if you choose to main fighter, as multi-weapons are cheaper overall in the long run due to not having to make a separate weapons.
      This also allows you to instantly switch between Dagger and DS to give you super fluid gameplay that you might be looking for (Aka, instantly parry with DS, move in with DS weapon action, Switch instantly to pirouette and fly straight up for a julien dance on a weak point).

      @@dierhernoto4878 So either one works because of how multi-weapons work, I would pick the cheaper option for on your Ship since you'll get the same benefits out of either one you use! (I use Talis main, Rod Multi on Force, and I'm still able to use my Rod as if it's a rod). Hope that helps you out!

    Is it possible to get Sols sword? I tried to search vanila shops, but couldn't find any. It's account bound?

      Hi hi! It is possible along with the other Guilty Gear weapons, Sol Badguy's sword is "* Junkyard Dog" which you have to enter exactly into the OG player shops. Unfortunately it's been awhile since the scratch so hopefully we can get atleast the weapon camos again in a future collab (imagine getting millia's hair as a weapon camo with the new physics in NGS). I hope that helps you find the camo!

    what do you think of the saber 'JD' nerf? is it still up there with knuckles?

      IMO with the JD nerf, Double saber should still equal to approximately the same level as knuckle. Knowing SEGA, there is a very high chance they'll move the damage from the first half towards the 2nd half which less safe compared to just spamming the first half. There's also still Double Saber's Whirlwind+Counter damage+Deadly Archer which makes the damage even more evened out. Hope my viewpoint helps you out!

      @@just_a_sushi As of the latest maintenance, nope it's still really strong. Unless SEGA actually touched it in some way, I'm still hitting REALLY high numbers on the first half of Julien Dance in comparison to the second half. Hope that answers your question!

    I wonder if knuckle counter is stronger than double saber counter, I have a multi weapon which is ds and knuckle and I mainly use the saber, I think after doing the double weapon action into a left click with knuckle is stronger, some say it’s better to use the weapon action of knuckle and the weapon of ds, not sure if it’s true tho, I tested hitting weakpoints but it seems ds counter is stronger than knuckle without the last hit

      I wonder too honestly, Knuckle Counter I heard is stronger than Double Saber's Counter, but the offset is Double Saber has more damage from other sources (Whirlwind+Deadly Archer). I really hope someone is able to clarify which counter is stronger because I haven't really sat down and tested it completely!

      @@everydere ive spent the last week with both on my bar. Honestly use which ever u find easier to counter with. The damage for me has been very similar. For both fist counter and ds counter. Ds counter has gap close while if ur timing is good knuckles can keep atking through lazer beams. But also ds counter has the 2nd wind full of throwin ur saber as a blender which does great dmg. Currently am running knuckle counter to counter and have the ds wep count on my bar to through the 2nd wind move. But from a week of using both i can say they both have very similar dmg
