    Apologies to everyone I have misspelled accessible. Also on another note, sorry for the longer video! Was planning on making this wayyy shorter, but I realized I should really expand it to 3 tier lists in one video just so I don't have to make another tier list video ever again. Thank you everyone for watching! And I hope you have a great day! Also Tell me what you're maining, cause I wanna know!

      @@everydere Yeah, fighter is awesome for me. I've also tried out ranger, techter and hunter, but they're not quite the same. I can play Tech and For competently enough to fill missing roles when needed, but hunter just feels slow. I can also play it semi-competently, but it feels weird charging an attack instead of jumping right in to attack, and then again, and again etc.
      that said, though, I was surprised how far the gap closer PA for the sword would take me (the one that's RMB no shift key by default)

    After feeling out each class leveling them all to level 5 and giving each an honest shot, I’m maining ranger. The fact that you don’t have to be the one with the highest dps, but sometimes you are anyway is awesome. Just loved the flow of his movements and skills more than the other classes and blighted roundes is great for the team too.

    What I like about Gunner is how it can deal dmg all the time without any pause, at the same time be safe from attacks as you'll mainly be attacking midair, and the fact that you can keep chain trigger attack speed buff up 100% of the time if you play the class right is just so fun to me

    • @everydere

      Thanks to the new QoL Update for Gunner, I actually switched back 100% to playing Gunner again cause mann the things I've wanted were implemented (mainly the relaxed timing + a speed up on bullet rave). The only thing I'm missing now is a Grim Barrage gap closer from base PSO2 which should be coming in December's class skill update. ATM tho, Gunner's incredibly above the curve once you get it down and it's only going to get stronger from this point on. My fave combo to run is GuFo just for PP eradication on PSE bursts and it works overall everywhere!

      Yeah, keep thinking of taking Hunter instead of Fo for my secondary on my Te. I would lose the Zonde and Barta bursts, since those are both on my Te tree, as well as a far amount of my PP regen, but I am thinking Wired Lances mobility would make up for that in the long run. Since I agree with everydere's ruling that Te is more about the sustain (and the fact that we are the gods of procing downed states due to doing both Melee and Elemental damage at the same time), I am thinking it may be worth it. I have a couple of those reset skill tickets as well, I may take a couple points of the elemental weakness damage skill to put in Zonde and Barta on Te too.

      @@everydere thing is hunter weapons have high pp generation on normal (just a couple swings and back to full) and fighter weapons, especially knuckles, just have high auto damage anyway. I like to compare knuckle normal to “if launcher auto was x5 faster.” Honestly the only fighters I see that have sustain issues due to pp issues are the dagger and twinblade since they trade normal damage for mobility and/or AoE. (Also knuckle counter damage is busted and the blast is one of the highest damaging and is the most concentrated in the game leading to bonkers weak spot down damage lol best feeling class weapon by far other than lasers for days launcher)

    Cool video. I use Hu/Fo, I think Force is just an amazing subclass for any build, keeping the damage up with the PP management. What I love about Hunter is the Avenger Arts skill, a decent damage increase if You learn the animations of the enemies, tight i-frames to pull it off, less forgiving than the animations for Fighter, wich I also love. Also, Hunter has an amazing weight with the sword, just the right feeling for a good damage boost. In my opinion it's very addictive when You learn pull it off.

      Yup! Also Fi Twin Daggers has ridiculous sustained damage + uptime thanks to acceleration drive. One of the most fluid feeling weapons in the game. As a gunner main, I've always felt like the class was pretty easy to pick up and quite generous with the invincibility frames of the weapon action. I don't know if maybe I'm not doing optimal dps or something, but I've thought spamming auto attacks and weapon actions and switching to the burst attack for starting and finishing a combo was pretty easy to grasp. I ended up maining Fighter because the trailers made twin daggers seem like discount Luster, but I ultimately stuck with knuckles while I wait for the non discount Luster lol. You are absolutely correct about subclasses though. Fi/Fo more or less eliminates PP issues, makes the burst phases even crazier. Talis gives you a non counter dependent option for sustained damage incase someone else has agro on small bosses. It's way better than chasing the enemy down and only getting a few hits in. Rod gives you long range counters and giant pp buildup while countering at a distance. The absolute best application I've gotten with the rod is vs Nex when he spams the fireball; You can dodge counter the first one, parry the follow up, use the elemental bullet, and repeat. That leaves you with a full PP bar, and contributes greatly towards elemental downs for your outstanding burst phases.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 роки тому

      Yup! The only downside to Fighter, can be easily mitigated thanks to the subclass system. That's probably my favorite part about NGS is how every class does have an inherent weakness, that you can easily supplement. One of my favorites i've seen is TeHu. Techter as a whole doesn't have that much of good burst, but once you slap hunter on it, all of a sudden you have a pretty decent burst to use during downed. For me on Gunner, the only real downside was just AoE PP gain during PSE Bursts, which was easily fixed by just doing GuFo for eradication PP gain (this ended up doubling how fast I kill)

    I play Ra/Fo so I could drink coffee while playing. I use launcher and just find a good angle throw a sticky bomb and press the fear eraser, after that I just sit and relax with my coffee and maybe eat some breakfast, with only one finger on a PA button. With enough PP your sticky bomb will detonate when you're almost out of PP using fear eraser and regen it back to full so you could continue pressing the PA, if you also have the sticky bomb cooldown skill it will come back after using fear eraser so you could do it again. I don't die that much because the new 4* units give so much armor, only gigantix can kill me and it takes them 2-3 hits to do it.

(Also sucks that it doesn’t even get a dodge weapon action; it is the only one where the default weapon action has a cooldown…honestly it needs a larger AoE normal like it had in OG pso2 to make up for its glaring animation lock weakness if it doesn’t get damage mitigation when we get more skills)

    I've a long time fan of Melee combat in any game I play. My favorite game series for the longest time has been Dark Souls, and for me, that let me straight to fighter. Dark Souls has taught be how to enjoy dodging, parrying, and going fully berzerk. Thankfully, since all classes have a dodge and most have a parry tool, i've been right at home with almost all of them. But i think i still have to sit with Fighter as my Main for now

    the build I've been using is fighter/ force with a dagger/wire multi-weapon. The weapon combo makes it very easy to keep up with any enemy. You can use dagger normal attacks for single target an wire for aoe, you can also use both weapon actions, dagger PAs only. PP recovery is good from force and you can use elementals of you want. If your good at dodging its a great combo, easily the most high speed build I've tried so far.

      The veeeery nice thing about RaHu in comparison to base PSO2, and in general all class combos, is that NGS' allows you to mix and match ALL classes seamlessly. RaHu in base PSO2 (until RaEt) was reallly good once you had it down.
      In NGS, the skill ceiling has been drastically reduced and you can now pretty much pick up RaHu and hit the skill cap within maybe a couple days of gameplay. On top of that, we're getting new PAs soon (Divine Launcher makes a comeback) which is going to make the Rifle/Launcher playstyle even more appealing.
      This video was made Pre-Retem but so far Ranger is in a VEEEERY good place especially with the changes. IMO I think you'll find RaHu really fun or even try out my fave combo of RaFo. RaFo in NGS gives you basically infinite PP 24/7 when mobbing and PP Convert can be used to give yourself infinite PP during a burst window.

      Ohhh that's interesting! Especially with out fast paced BDO can be, I would have guessed Force woulda clicked but Witch/Wizard in BDO imo have wayy better flow to them than Force in NGS (Im a filthy wizard main LMAO). Fighter is a super fun class with how fast it goes, and in 3-4 months-ish we're getting the BIG winter update which is going to pretty much revamp classes to be even better than their current state (more class skills). I'd say try out Braver but that class takes a looot of work to get Katana working + it's really immobile compared to Fighter (Counters on Fi move you constantly vs Braver where you kinda stand in place).
      Can't wait to see what you end up playing once we get Bouncer in a month! Bouncer's probably going to be more inline with witch/wizard awakening via jetboots in terms of speed, but with a huge mix of mobility and big ass swords from soaring blades.

    out of all those classes, i find either force or ranger excels at burst dps.especially with rod/launcher multi. photon flare boosts your pp pool up by 50 and potency by 20%. using fear eraser, just hold the button down for like 20 second until your pp runs out or until the boss' down phase is over.

    First From the least boringly to the most boring
    1.) hunter
    2.) fighter
    3.) techer
    4.) force
    5.) ranger
    6.) gunner
    For dps wise it’s really hard to compare to simply because classes have different dps consistency
    So I will rank them base on heavy hitters vs low hitters (low hitters being able to put in quick dps
    Heavy hitters
    1.) hunter ( sword, Partisan )
    2.) fighter (knucles,saber,) I havent tried daggers so I don’t know if it hits hard or hits low
    3.) Ranger (launcher)
    3.) wand (don’t underestimate the power of a wand charged attack)
    4.) force (Rod
    Low hitters( more constant dps)
    1.) Ranger (riffle)
    2.) gunner
    3.) force (talis)
    4.)Techer (Talis)
    Usefulness GOD TIER
    RANGER BLIGHT HMMMMM ME GUSTA
    ELEMENTAL Usefulness
    1.)Force
    2.)Techer
    I would like to say that no other class beats these two when it comes to ELEMENTAL usefulness, they are the ones that make the most use of the elemental weakness more than others, and make everything easier during (UQ,Giga,Etc) even if there are elemental weapons
    Hardest to learn
    1.) hunter
    2.) fighter
    3.) force
    4.) techer
    5.) ranger
    6.) gunner
    Fucking ATTAKC ON TITAN RANK
    1.) hunter wired lance
    2.) hunter wired lance
    3.) hunter wired lance

I heavily agree btw with your AoT ranking list but I think #3 and #1 should be switched on that list since i feel like hunter wired lance is slightly more AoT than hunter wired lance. But I might be wrong, so this will require a lot of theorycrafting and i'll have to make a 40-60 minute video on my findings for it. Honestly #5 on your AoT ranking might even be better than #1. Well, every class has particular strengths and roles, hunter is a goddamn mobile fortress, high powered counters and unmatched resilience, fighter is a relentless destructive force, force releases a barrage of elemental mayhem and so on and so forth, so I couldn't say this class is better than that.
    But on the subclass side of things, each class has strengths to offer, except ranger and techter, status resistance and wand photon blast up are kinda meh.

    • @everydere

      Yeah I tried Techter sub and it's sorta noticeable but not as noticeable as just not using it. Overall you are correct though! The way classes work in NGS is everything has it's own Strength/Weakness, and we pretty much use subclasses to supplement those weaknesses. Fighter may have PP issues, but hooo boi slap Gu/Fo subclass and now that's gone completely. Hunter's my main after playing ALL classes and the nuance with Hunter Arts Avenger proccing results in some ridiculous damage + damage resist due to main class hunter. Definitely not as straight forward as Fighter, but is super super fun!

    Coming back to this because now that I've hit 20 and had a bit of time to mess around, I think Ranger actually *can* have decent burst damage. During a down you have enough time to dump 3 blight rounds, AR grenade, shotgun spread and most/all of your PP bar with a PA of choice for some pretty respectable burst damage. I've had blights and grenades do 1100+ damage during downs

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 роки тому

      Yup! If you do that blight round trick, I think it's one of the higher bursts assuming you hit all 3 blight rounds on the weak point, have spread shot already ready, AR grenade (Drop a mine for max damage), and then pop a Photon Blast on top. If I recall, the Rifle's PB is similar to talis where it just kinda ignores collision. After the PB, I think that gives you enough time for one charged piercing shot or multiple piercing shots.
      Edit: Requires a little bit of setup but honestly is 100% doable!

    Honestly, once Bouncer comes out I will literally be playing nothing else. For now, I've been enjoying trying out all the different classes. I think so far I still like Hunter the best of the ones I've gotten leveled, but gunner and ranger are probably right behind that. I've mostly been playing Partisan which is pretty awkward at times to be honest, but I just also really like the way it works (which is funny because I didn't like it in PSO 2).
    It's hard to explain why I like it when it's also awkward to use in certain situations. I used the sword mostly to start until my first 4* drop was the Vialto Spear and I switched over. I basically used the sword for mobbing and Partisan for single target. Finally got a Cattleya Sword just yesterday so might level that up soon if I feel like it.
    I have yet to really get into trying multi weapons since they're so expensive and I don't want to invest a lot into it only to find out I don't enjoy the ones I've picked. I've heard Te/Hi Wand/Partisan is a good one. I wish it was a bit easier to try different setups. Like I'd love to try wired lance but I don't really want to use a skill reset pass just to put a couple points into that so I can try it.
    Also as much as I'm enjoying NGS, I still find it weird that every weapon only has 3 PA's when there were so many available in PSO 2. Like, at least launch with 4 so your palette is full, ya know? I hope we get more without having to wait until the winter update.

      For me the mandatory ones would be Gran Wave (the charge forward that can cast deband) and Vinto Gigue (that's the charge attack that can do either AOE explosion or single target kick). Any others would be welcome as long as they have the auto casting tech and shifta somewhere.

      @@Shantaq Yeah I don't really care about the long list, I just think it's bizarre that they decided 3 was the number they wanted to launch with when a weapon palette has 6 slots including your basic attack and weapon action. 4 PA's would have made sense, 3 doesn't.
      Also, I would argue that most modern MMO's have far more skills available so I don't really see how reducing the number of PA's is modernizing. Minimizing, yes, modernizing, no.

    Force & Techter are the best for now in my opinion.
    Force:
    - Easy to play
    - Insane PP recovery
    - Ranged
    - Great counter attacks and a relatively forgiving weapon action I-frame
    - AoE heal
    - Abuses elemental weaknesses, meaning more stuns on the bosses
    Techter:
    - Shifta/Deband buffing allies = any extra dps from them means that's also your dps
    - Ranged and Melee
    - Great counter attacks and gapclosing after parries
    - AoE heal but also more healing than normal
    - Access to elemental damage even on basic attacks
    - Relatively unpopular class so their weapons are cheaper

It is true that you will be dashing quite alot because of the lack of gap closer. But once you get close, you can take back the time you lost by dishing out insane amount of burst damage. I chose gunner as sub for PP recovery and lack of aoe. Spamming rain shower , while pse burst, can clean weak mobs then you can burst the tankier mobs with Fi. Gunner sub is also good for recovering PP with its aoe dash attack.

For the partisan wand, i actually use the wand normal attack (tho if you want to use the partisan one, that’s fine too because the range is increased by quite a lot)....what i rlly added from the partisan was the weapon action (with volkraptor) and Cleave. Typical techer wand rotation and make use of shifta/deband and wand lovers at all times. Bonk with the right elements and be mindful of parrying, esp with bosses, as it is different compared to other games, when there’s an opening, fully charge scythe/cleave for that good amount of damage. I don’t even use wire yet because I don’t have one to multi and I have never had problems sticking with the boss as a knuckle fighter. The flying shoulder charge is actually a great gap closer and more often than not I find p the boss aggros on me. My burst dps IS my sustain.
    Last emergency my random group voted to start early because mm was taking too long and it was me, another knuckle fighter, a ranger, a techter, and a force/gunner (my under leveled undergeared barely meets the power level friend). Fastest clear on the north boss I have had yet (the ranger didn’t even corrode, I think ranger was their sub and they just liked the weapons?)

Personally for me on Hunter (this is my main atm), I'm averaging about 90-95% with Sword alone before factoring in Wire Lance usage as well. Also god that setup is definitely one of the dream team setups I wish i had in an MPA LOL. I still needa solo the UQ fights since there's scaling to see how fast I can take them on.

    I agree with this tier list i wonder where braver could fit in i feel like braver could be very good for burst dps depending on what skills we get. I think if braver gave a crit rate increase or a damage to weak points increase like precision stance it could be an the same level as fighter or gunner for burst dps potentially.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 роки тому

      Based on how braver was worked with in OG PSO2, I'd say permanently high tier. Probably better than Fighter/Gunner overall with no real clear downsides. I don't think it'll have any weaknesses imo which is what will make it so ridiculously good. Fighter's weakness at the moment is just AoE but that can be fixed easily, and Gunner's weakness is a lack of a gap closer (Critical range for Gu is melee range).
      So, I think Braver honestly will maintain the high burst damage it had in OG PSO2 and potentially even the ridiculous counter damage it had originally. Combine that with Precision stance potentially making a comeback or even a crit rate increase, and Braver will definitely be topping the charts again.
      Atleast that's just my theory, a Game Theory™

Infinite Richochet now does the old Point Blank Damage, and Point Blank + Onslaught have basically a 50% DPS increase. Yup! I really should have done it by categories or as another comment mentioned *by weapon* which makes 100000000000000000% more sense since all classes are viable/within 1-2%. Also works out better since we have stuff like Partizan, which while good on it's own, definitely has issues when you compare it to other weapons (Like Volkraptor having an OBSCENELY long cooldown of 60 seconds for no reason). On top of that it would be easier to just separate stuff into Single Target vs AoE if I went with the weapon route as well. Since some weapons HEAVILY excel at single target (Sword/Partizan/All of Fi/TMGs), while other weapons do better at AoE instead. Thanks for the input by the way!

    I don't understand how fighter sustain dps is low. Unless you're just running around on the ground in circles not attacking, it has permanent glue on the boss's weak point, with high counter damage. On the sword guy urgent I'm literally permanently on his weakpoint when he's up flying in the air and I see all the range players scrambling trying to dodge all the lasers flying everywhere. Julien dance has insane chase and knuckle's dash attack is literally infinity air mobility.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 роки тому +1

      A lot of it imo, comes down to the average fighter just not realizing they can glue themselves to the boss (Julien + Knuck's Dash has VERY good horizontal mobility, but its also very easy to just wire lance up for vertical mobility). TDs are probably the best and easiest 24/7 uptime setup for Fighter since it just promotes keeping up 24/7 uptime.
      Buut honestly speaking for the rankings, it's mostly based on your average melee player having to photon dash 24/7 towards the mob + taking hits which stop your momentum. The more skilled you get at Fighter+Hunter, the better your sustain DPS gets. Atm on average for Fighter knuckles, I average around 90~95% uptime factoring in the random photon dash I might have to do from a jump, while on Hunter it's about the same without using wired lance for vertical movement.
      Now in contrast, ranged in general is just built for 24/7 sustain with the offset being lower damage per # and sometimes lower burst as well. (my uptime on ranged classes is pretty much a permanent 100% since you can use lasers for free damage from across the world as well)
      Overall since the game is super balanced, I would treat all rankings as every spot being interchangeable especially once you start factoring in min/max skill.

    Interesting !
    According to your video, Gunner is the only class that is part of top 3 in each tier list. This class is also very stylish, in my opinion.
    How would you place Braver and Bouncer in this ranking ? Also, I definitely agree about the fact that every class has its downside and that's what makes the balance. Since the release of NGS, I basically never seen long-term majority of this or that class. Ranger and Techter are popular for support matters, Force is really picked oftenly due to its element flexibility but in the end, you just see every class be used anywhere, anytime. It's very appealing but also very rare to see in a video-game. :)

    • @everydere
      @everydere  2 роки тому +1

      Gunner's a weird class where it's teetering on the edge of being balanced and overpowered 24/7 since base PSO2. In NGS especially as of the Retem update, it's gotten infinitely better especially in the PP management department which makes setups for BIG bursts really simplified.
      Now Braver + Bouncer is veeery interesting for me to rank. IMO JB Bouncer is one of the easiest and most versatile classes to play, and is ridiculously easy to pull off huge amounts of DPS + Elemental downs. SB Bouncer on the other hand, despite the buffs from Retem, is still lagging slightly behind but not as much as it's initial release.
      Braver, really depends on the skill of the player. The DPS is very high but it leaves you stationary on the Katana side, and on Bow the DPS is practically a replacement to Rifle's single target DPS which makes combos like BrRa/RaBr shine. IMO when ranking these two, Braver for me would be somewhere in the upper mid of the pack, while Bouncer would be either #1 or top 2 consistently due to how easy it is to pick up and how versatile it is. Especially with how important downs are in NGS, a combo like BoFi is absolutely ridiculous.

I was actually hoping they revisited the whole subpallete idea in NGS once they started adding required buttons like photon burst in PSO2, but they didn't change it at all. Thank you for the feedback! I definitely need to make a video on subclass dos and don'ts since I have seen an upsurge recently where people completely butcher trees making them 100% unplayable (unless you buy a skill tree for 5$ or a reset). ATM if I had to rate best subclasses it'd be something like:
      Gu/Fo > Br/Hu/Te/Fi > Ra
      in terms of what you're getting out of a subclass. GU+FO are probably the strongest subclass options since they just work universally + there's no real condition for getting the most out of it. Braver's also an interesting choice now since it's completely 100% usable without an issue as a subclass. Hunter gives you access to wired lances which help out some classes. Te would be for PB building when combined with Evolcoat series. Fi is something a couple min/maxers kept pushing early in NGS, but realistically the payoff is only during burst phases and that's pretty much where it ends. And Ranger gives you access to Launcher and less status, but this got overshadowed by Braver since Braver gives you Bow + more on top of it.

    Imo techter is better than most you listed. Wand deals great damage per hit, has a great parry with gap closer, and has the elemental explosions allowing you to do phys and ele downs at the same time. You can PA cancel into parrys for free PA's. Ive tried other classes and weapons and their dmg is so low. Even techters other PA does more damage than Julian dance. Ive been thinking of multi weapon wand and talis only for pillbox for pp regen and more bonks on my TE/FI. I don't know of any other class or weapon that can just run and hit anything for 700 or more dmg just with normal attack.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 роки тому

      I completely agree honestly, Techter's damage overall when you also take into consideration Shifta+Deband, makes the class be one of the hardest hitting single hit classes in the game. I think on the Techter guide, someone was explaining their highest hit was something crazy like 4k-5k+ which I wouldn't even doubt from how high you can hit in one singular hit. The only real downside to it imo, is easily mitigated by just subclasses tbh. Overall I'd say for the rankings, they're pretty interchangeable since the real power difference is down to a 1-maybe 5% difference at max?

I have no clue what the elemental explosion damage numbers are during those times. I would need to record a video and watch just to see, lol. When I hear my ranged friends telling me they do 50-80 dmg a hit, or i see force spamming techniques for 200ish dmg a tick, or a dual saber and such hitting for around the same per hit, it makes me wonder how high their actual dps and sustain really is. I've been massively underwhelmed by Force. Even with a pretty decent rod and several attempts to optimise my damage it's just not comparable to what I get out of the other classes I've tried (ranger, hunter, fighter and techer).
    It also doesn't help that the numbers for hitting weakness with zonde and barta elements are outdamaged by the foie spells on the same mobs until you add barta blot and zonde clad in. It's shocking to me that they need the skills to outdo fire on things that aren't weak to burnination and even then the numbers are way closer than I'm comfortable with :/ Charged Gifoie damage values compared to the other spells is too high in general and that's just looking at actual DPS numbers, not the much larger individual hit values you'll see popping off the mobs.

    4:11 yeah, which is why I'm Te/Fi or Fi/Te. I can switch to talis when range becomes an issue.
    I never use weapon parry, even though I have it with wand. Never understood the use when dash works.
    Melee pp management is no issue. Wand attack x3 wand slam x3. Ribse repeat. When I'm using the dual saber for the spinning blades it's wand attack x3 and then sabers for about 15 seconds or so.
    You make PP manageme t sound like it's rocket science when it's literally just rotation management.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah I agree, TeFi is a REALLY good and strong combination and honestly, Techter should really be it's own Rank imo. Nothing in the game really equals Techter's support+Consistent damage. For the wand parry action, if you're seeking a use for it. It's super minor but it does a photonic fury which adds a little bit towards elemental downing (along with the counter damage).
      Overall, most classes IMO are within 1% of each other since the game is so balanced. I mostly focused on Main classes with no subclass, but a viewer pointed out *weapon rankings* instead of class rankings would be infinitely better, which I 100% agree with. All classes in the game are viable with nothing really being a dead weight, so if I could go back in time and redo this vid, it 100% would be based on weapons instead of classes.
      Also thanks for your input on TeFi! And I can't wait for Bouncer's drop really soon too. I didn't really main it back in it's release on JP PSO2, but seeing the things Jetboot bouncers + the Dual Blade rotations people put out was really freakin sick.
